Apodaca -- Christina Elizabeth Apodaca born November 12, 1977 went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2000. She is survived by her three-year-old daughter, Christy Anna Marie; father, Mack and mother, LeAnn Holliday of Albuquerque; grandfather, Rudy and grandmother, Dauphne Lynn Lape; and aunt, (June bug) all of Santa Marie, CA; her uncle, Mitch and aunt, Rene; cousins, Jared, Tracey, and Jacob of Albuquerque; uncle, Doug Murphy and family of California; all her aunts and uncles in the Philippines, Iran, Florida, Oklahoma, Ohio and Illinois; her aunt, Pam Hermsmeyer (aunt Putty) and her aunt, Yvonne Aragon both of Albuquerque; her close friends, James and Kelly Chavez of Albuquerque, Carrie Bancroft of Connecticut; and all her many friends and loved ones. Christina will be loved and missed by many. A gathering in her honor will be held on December 31, 2000 at her home at 6001 Topke Place NE Apt. E6 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, any donations or contributions would be greatly appreciated for her daughter.

Cooper -- Joe R. Cooper, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Friday, December 22, 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Herman and husband, George E.; grandchildren, George Joseph Herman, James Edward Herman, Valerie Kristine Herman, all of Tucson, AZ and John Steven Herman of Cherry Point, NC; and great-granddaughter, Amorette Flores of Tucson, AZ. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Vera. Joe belonged to V.F.W. and was a decorated WWII Army Veteran. Services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Clyde Stanfield officiating. Gonzales -- FroiIan Gonzales, 72, a resident of Belen, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2000. Frolian was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Froilan loved to be on the road and was a charter driver for Sanchez S.W. Coaches. When he wasn't driving the bus, he would still volunteer to be on the road as coordinator on trips to Laughlin, NV. Froilan was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Gonzales in 1995; his parents, Juan in 1993 and Horacia Gonzales; one son, Leo Gonzales; and one daughter, Edwina Montoya, both in 1986. He is survived by his loving children, Robert and his wife, Avalon of Los Lunas, Becky and her husband, Saul Barela of Belen, Lorraine and her husband, Gilbert Montoya of Belen, Alfred and his wife, Roberta of Bernalillo, and Cindy and her husband, Alex Sanchez, of Belen; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Froilan is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. A Viewing will be on Friday, December 29, 2000, 5:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home with a Service at 6:00 p.m. Another Viewing will be on Saturday, December 30, 2000, 1:30 p.m. at the Belen Seventh Day Adventist Church, 115 E. Ross Ave. with a Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Peralta. Pallbearers will be Robert, Alfred, Michael, and Anthony Gonzales, Alex Sanchez and Saul Barela.

Heilman -- Andrea M. Heilman, 15, a resident of Corrales, died Wednesday, December 27, 2000. She is survived by her father, Karl J. Heilman III, M.D.; mother, Arlene R. Heilman; brother, Karl Heilman IV; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl J. Heilman and Mary Brendenberg; aunts and uncles, Allan and Barbara Rickard, Alice Rickard, Albert and Terri Rickard, Anthony and Pam Rickard, Bill and Anita Heston, Bill and Annette Menna, Arthur and Donna Rickard, Susie and Stan Boyle and Betsy Heilman; numerous cousins; and many close friends. Andrea was a freshman at Cibola High School. She enjoyed her pets: Rosie, Carmen, AJ and Schlomo, dance, art, shopping, traveling, scuba diving and talking to friends. Hill -- Joseph T. Hill, 78, a resident of Albuquerque for five years, died Thursday, December 28, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Erminia Minnie Hill of Albuquerque; son, William J. ¯Bill¯ Hill and wife, Deborah of Tome, NM; daughter, Mary S. Carter and husband, James of Iowa; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Marian Kuna of New Jersey; and sister-in-law, Ida Church of New Jersey. Mr. Hill served in the US Navy Submarine Service, serving aboard the submarines USS O-2, USS S-17, and USS Skate. He participated in the 1945 Mission into the Sea of Japan, named Operation Barney. Mr. Hill was a leader in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for over ten years in New Jersey and New Mexico. He was a loving husband and father. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Father Chris O¯Brien officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. Mulligan -- Elsie O. Mulligan, 89, died Saturday, December 23, 2000 in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Costello and husband, Vincent of Albuquerque, NM; sons, Brian Mulligan and wife, Linda of England and Michael Mulligan and wife, Elke of United Arab Emirates; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William"Bill" Mulligan. Cremation has taken place and services will be held in April 2001 when family members from overseas can attend. Pena -- Our beloved sister has gone to Heaven to be with our mother. Anita was born July 20, 1977 and left us on December 25, 2000. Anita you will be missed. Anita is survived by her two children, Anthony Ray Pena and Renee Ruiz; three sisters, Ingrid, Geraldine, and Emily; her aunt, Kay Tenorio and uncle, Ralph Schubert who raised her; two nephews, David and Stephen; three nieces, Victoria, Monique, and Nicole. Putnam -- Florence A. Putnam, devoted and much loved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed on to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 27, 2000 as a result of complications from Alzheimers disease. Florence entered the world in Walnut, IA on July 19, 1920, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ona A. Clough, both of whom preceded her in death. She lived and attended school in Walnut, IA through high school, where she was an all-state basketball star. She completed her advanced education and training in Des Moines, IA. She married her loving husband of over 58 years, Allan Putnam in September 1942, just two months before he entered service in World War II. Florence continued her employment in Walnut, taking time out to be with her husband at every opportunity in his assignments at the Ordinance School in Texas and the U.S. Military Academy in New York. Following Allan's separation, he was asked to remain with the Department of Defense so the Putnams took up residence at Sandia Base near Albuquerque were they resided for 12 years prior to purchasing a home in the city proper. Florence was always active in community affairs serving as chairperson of numerous school activities, a regular in Chapel functions and Officer's Wives Club programs. She has been an active participant and attendee at the Sandia/KAFB Chapel since April 1946. Florence is a past Grand Guardian of Job's Daughters of New Mexico, a position she relished because of her association and leadership of hundreds of young women. Florence's great concern for and interest in young people never waned and is reflected in her very special relationship with her own children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all their many friends. In addition to her husband, Florence leaves to mourn, daughters, Bobbie Jane Moore and husband, William of Dallas, TX, and Billie Jean Beeman of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Dr. Kari Moore of Boston, MA, Kristin Danson and husband, Christopher of Austin, TX, Kami Showalter and husband, Bill of Columbus, OH, Jill Beeman and Amy Beeman of Albuquerque; grandson, Todd Beeman of Albuquerque; sisters, Mrs. Violet Taylor of Anamosa, IA, Mrs. Twyla Bero of Walnut, IA, Mrs. Norma Bowman of Council Bluffs, IA, Leona Dollen and husband, Harold of Council Bluffs, IA; and great-granddaughters, Taylor and Payton Showalter of Columbus, OH. In addition, Florence will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other members of her extended family; also many friends across the country. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2000, 3:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Dr. Lemuel M. Boyles, Chaplain, (Col.) USAF (Ret.) officiating, followed by a fellowship reception at Ramada Inn Mountainview, 25 Hotel Circle, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Florence's name to the New Mexico chapter Alzheimer's Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Final resting place will be in the Putnam family plot in Graceland Cemetery in Avoca, IA. The family is appreciative and deeply grateful for the loving care Florence has received while at resident at the Cottages of Albuquerque Alzheimer's Care Facility. Raloff -- Karl A."Buddy" Raloff age 85, died on December 27, 2000 at Colfax General Long Term Care Facility in Springer. He was born on March 15, 1915 in Thiensville, WI the son of the late Adolph G. and Molly (Donahue) Raloff. He was a WW II Veteran, a member of the American Legion. he is survived by one son, Jeffrey K. Raloff of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jonathan, Ian, Megan and James Raloff. Roussel -- Nettie L. Roussel, a lifetime resident of New Mexico passed away on Friday, December 22, 2000. Nettie was born in Domingo, New Mexico and as child moved to Albuquerque. Her parents were Eugeno and Petra Sanchez Lucero. She was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Nettie is survived by her son, Dr. Mike E. Roussel and wife, Karen of Albuquerque; and daughter, Yvonne Roussel of Escondido, CA; two grandchildren, Andrea and Lauren Roussel of Albuquerque. Roussel -- Wilbur C. Roussel, a longtime resident of New Mexico passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2000. Wilbur was born in New Haven, IN and moved to Albuquerque in 1942. His parents were Louis Roussel and Mary Ida (Gladieux) Roussel. He was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Wilbur is survived by his son, Dr. Mike E. Roussel and wife, Karen of Albuquerque, and daughter, Yvonne M. Torres -- Mr. Daniel L. Torres, (Uncle Dan), 71, joined Our Lord on Thursday, December 28, 2000. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 1/2 years, Mrs. Tommie Torres. He is also survived by two sons, Danny Jr., and Leonard P. Torres. Mr. Torres also raised their grandsons, Danny III and David W. Torres; a brother, Robert L. Torres and wife, Stella; two sisters-in-law, Mary and Clara Torres; beloved brothers and sisters-in-law include Sam and Lena Paiz, Leo and Josie Castillo, Deacon Robert and Clarabelle Paiz; four grandchildren, Joseph, Christine, Sarah, and Andrew Torres; and numerous cherished and beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Torres is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Ursula Torres and his siblings, Andres L. Toreros, Rose Lovato, Fred L. Torres, and Victor Torres I I. Mr. Torres retired from Air Force Base, Weapons Lab as a supervisor after 36 years of service. Mr. Torres served in the Kirtland U.S. Air Force for four years. Daniel was an avid hunter and lived first to live the first Cursillo in the State of New Mexico. He went on to become a"profesor" in the Cursillo Movement. Mr. Torres, was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church for over 30 years and served as an usher, he was also a member of the American Legion Post 13, an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and Missionary of Mercy Society of Our Lady of the Family. Dan will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his loving and generous manner. A Rosary will be recited Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with visitation after 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal S.W. Final visitation will be at the church from 8:20 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Father Balizan, Celebrant of the Mass. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be his Godchildren, Edward Jude Leyba, Robert I. Montoya, Herman Sanchez, Danny Torres, Phillip Paiz Jr. and nephew Damian Castillo. Honorary will be, Cynthia and Michael Ulibarri, Victor Torres Jr. and George Paiz. Vandermolen -- Jerry (Geraldine) Vandermolen, a long time resident of Albuquerque passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2000 in Yucca Valley, CA. She is survived by her husband, Carl Vandermolen of Tucson, AZ; Bud Higgins of Demmitt, TX; three children, Michael and Phillip Riddle of Texas, Lise Jones of California; four grandchildren, Jessica and Jeremy Jones, California, Heather and Merissa Riddle of Texas. Born January 18, 1925 in Scottsboro, AL, Jerry moved to Clovis, NM where she graduated from Clovis High School in 1942. As a self-educated woman, she enjoyed her professional career as comptroller for Rutledge Investments for many years. Jerry loved to be surrounded by beautiful things, her friends and family and especially her dog, Coco. She will be remembered as a beautiful and vibrant woman who will be missed by all she touched.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 30 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM. She was the daughter of the late Eleanor H. Gaines of Lake Worth, FL and Sidney C. Gaines of Columbia, SC. Also surviving is a sister, Margaret G. Richmond of Lynchburg, VA; and brother, S. Cave Gaines of Charlotte, NC.
