Gonzales -- Delfinio Jose Gonzales, a resident of Bernalillo, passed away on January 25, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Jeana; daughters, Barbara Clark and husband, Andrew, Mary Margaret Gonzales and Deborah J. Garlett and husband, Dave; sons, Jose D. Gonzales and wife, Vanessa, Edward P. Gonzales and wife, Jacqueline, and Ronny H. Gonzales; grandchildren, Matthew, Adrianna, Edward Jr., Kimberly, Alexandria, Ashley, Tiffany, Anastasia, and Franchesca; great-grandchild, Samantha. Also surviving are brothers, Leo V. Gonzales and wife, Bessie and Leopoldo Gonzales and wife, Priscella; sisters, Antonia Archibeque and husband, Emiterio, Isabel P. Branson and husband, Fred, Dolores M. Gutierrez and husband, Orlando. Also surviving are 42 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Delfinio was preceded in death by his parents, Delfido and Perfecta; his daughter, Beverly J. Gonzales; and sisters, Lucy Romero and Lolita Gonzales. Definio was a very proud and active Catholic, serving as an Usher and on the Parish Council. He was a loving and dedicated father, and was very family oriented. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Gordon -- Lois S. Gordon, 76, passed away Friday, January 21, 2000. Born in Ovid, Idaho, she had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1949. Lois worked for many years as office manager for New York Life Insurance Company in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maughn Sagers Gordon in 1945; and in March of 1983, by her second husband, Ralph Naccarato. Survivors include her two sons, Paul M. Gordon and wife, Paige Galvin and Ted Naccarato and wife, Shirley, all of Albuquerque; and by two grandsons, Cameron Gordon and Mark Gordon, also of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her brother, Ted Sorensen and wife, Bonnie of Orem, UT; and by her sister, Anabelle Card and husband, Charles of Salt Lake City, UT; as sell as many other relatives. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2000 at the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, 4310 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho. Jacinto -- Louie Joseph Jacinto, 14, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past six months, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2000. Louie was born October 8, 1985, the son of Jose and Irma Cabrera Jacinto in Panama, California. The family came to Rio Rancho from Barstow, California. He was a student of the Rio Rancho High School. Louie is survived by his parents, Jose and Irma Jacinto of Rio Rancho; one brother, Jose L. Jacinto II; four sisters, Angela Maria Jacinto, Adella Jacinto, all of California, Delilah Alcantara and Delia Vigil, both of New Mexico; grandparents, Mr. Luis Jacinto and Mr. and Mrs. Leandra Cabrera, all of California; three nieces; and four nephews. The service for Louis will be held on Friday, January 28, 2000, 11:00 a.m., at the Gospel Light Baptist Church, 1500 Southern Blvd., Rio Rancho, with Pastor Brent Lenentine officiating. Jennings -- Hulon D. Jennings, 67, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Monday, January 24, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Mar Jo of the family home; sons, Dr. Scott B. Jennings and wife, Clotilde of Savannah, GA and Richard C. Jennings and wife, Brenda of Littleton, CO; daughter, Stacey Masterson and husband, Major Edward J. Masterson, USAF, of Niceville, FL; grandchildren, Lauren Jennings, Alexandra Jennings, Ryan Jennings and Austin Jennings; sisters, Marline Ragsdale and husband, Rev. John Ragsdale of Gilbertown, AL, Mozell Liddle and husband, Rev. Vernon Liddle of Greenwood, LA, and Ivadell Fenton and husband, Rev. Edwin Fenton of Marthaville, LA; brothers, Shirral Jennings of Frankfurt, Germany and Roger Jennings and wife, Mary of Eunice, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Jennings was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the IBM Corporation after serving with them ore than 30 years. For the past five year, he was a Training and Management Consultant for DeLaPorte and Associates. He was a member of Heights First Church of the Nazarene for almost 40 years. Mr. Jennings also served on the Board of Trustees for Point Loma Nazarene University for five years. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at Heights First Church of the Nazarene, 8401 Paseo Del Norte NE, with Dr. Leon F. Wyss and Pastor William B. Nelson, officiating. Lujan -- Estella Lujan, 71, resident of Albuquerque, passed away January 24, 2000. Orona -- Modesta M. (Tita) Orona, 85, a resident of El Cerro, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 24, 2000. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary. Modesta was the last of her generation in her family. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jessie Romero in 1986; and granddaughters, Theresa Romero in 1988, Carol Armendariz in 1991; her son-in-law, Juan Romero in 1993. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Juan of the family home in El Cerro; her six children, Willie of Las Nutrias, NM, Valentin and his wife, Mary of Lompoc, CA, Lillian Romero of Tome, Oswald and his wife, Ruth of Las Nutrias, Patricia Montes and her husband, Ralph of El Cerro, and Dorothy Godley and her husband, John of Springfield, VA; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Melinda Orona of Adelino; two brothers-in-law, Macedonio"M.C." Baca of Belen and Frank Orona of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. Interment will follow in the Tome Catholic Cemetery. Pacheco -- Lydia B. Pacheco, 73, a resident of Alameda, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2000. She was dearly loved and will be forever missed. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Augustine (Chago); her daughter, Sandra and husband, Michael; sons, Robert and wife, Emily, Larry and wife, Liz, Tony and wife, Lilly, and Victor and wife, Shelley; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in the chapel of Alameda Mortuary with James Rael reciting. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest beside her two other sons, Manuel and Frank, who preceded her in death. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Larry Pacheco, Michael Gutierrez Jr., Anthony Pacheco, and Christopher Pino, and her great-grandsons, Frank (Pancho) Parella, Valentine Trujillo and Jordan Humphrey. Price -- Louis J. Price, 94, most beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Saturday, January 22, 2000. He is survived by his daughters, Coewena Dinkle and her husband, George, and Ann Van Horn, all of Albuquerque; step-son, Lewis Sullivan; grandchildren, Thomas Dinkle of New Mexico, Stephan Bradley Van Horn of Rio Rancho, Michael Gayle Van Horn and wife, Susie L. of Albuquerque, Louis Gregory Van Horn and wife, Debbie of Mosquero, NM, Melissa Ann Sanchez and husband, Randall of Albuquerque, Louis J. Price III and wife, Annette of Los Angeles, CA, Ryan Price and wife, Marieke of UK, Adrian Harjo and husband, Paul of Broken Arrow, OK; step-grandchildren, Susan, David and Jackie; great-grandchildren, Desiree Dinkle, Eric Estevan Van Horn, Ryan Van Horn, Jessica Nicole Van Horn, Jacob Michael Van Horn, Grace Van Horn, Lucas Van Horn, Trenton Van Horn, Savanah Marie Sanchez and Mariah Price. Mr. Price was preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva C. Price in 1959; second wife, Lois A. Price in 1997; and son, Louis Johnson Price Jr. in 1994. Mr. Price worked as an electrician for nearly 20 years at Sandia National Laboratory and had previously served as a District Manager for Oklahoma Power and Water. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Mr. Price was known for being very generous, loving, and lived to help others. We are very grateful for the fine Christian example his life demonstrated, and he leaves those memories for all of us. Putnam -- Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Joseph W. Putnam, 81, died peacefully January 22 with family at his side. A resident of Albuquerque for more than 35 years, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Loraine Beatley Putnam. He is survived by his brother, Garnet Putnam of Strasburg, VA; son, Phil Putnam, daughter-in-law Lin Putnam and granddaughter, Hollie Putnam; daughter Bonnie Putnam Verardo and son-in-law Walter Verardo; daughter Donna Putnam; son Mark Putnam all of Albuquerque; son Michael Putnam, daughter-in-law Katherine Putnam and granddaughter Claire Putnam of Houston; and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews in Virginia. Born March 2, 1918, in Hume, Virginia, to Joseph Pendleton and Mary Elizabeth Putnam, Joseph serving during World War II as a B-26 pilot and in the Vietnam War as an airborne battle staff commander. During his 33-year career that spanned five continents, Joseph flew 6875 hours of left-seat time, including 1825 hours in combat. His last assignment in Albuquerque was as a high-altitude pilot flying the RB-57F with the 58th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron ("F-Troop"). During this time, he became the oldest man in the Air Force to fly in a pressure suit. He retired in Albuquerque in 1975 to spend time with his family, restore antique cars, and build"just about anything." A brief committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico, followed by burial alongside his wife and lifelong partner, Mary. The family wishes to thank his kind and loving caregivers and friends at The Cottages of Albuquerque where he resided for the last year. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions designated to fund stroke research be made to The American Heart Association. Reiner -- John Carl David Reiner passed away January 15, 2000. He was a self employed computer programmer who loved the outdoors. He is survived by his two sons, Jeff Reiner and Jesse Reiner; one brother, Donald Reiner; three sisters, Mary Lou Reiner, Karen Hayes, and Janice Cotner. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, Thursday, at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of John Reiner to his son, Jeff Reiner, for funeral expenses. Riley -- Henry W. Riley Sr., 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, died Saturday, January 22, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Rose N. Riley of the family home; daughters, Linda Wright and husband, Leslie and Gillian Gibbs and husband, Barry, all of Norfolk, England, Pamela Riley Angeles of Albuquerque and Debra Ann Wade and husband, Will of Alamogordo, NM; sons, Henry W. Riley Jr. of Phoenix, AZ and Harold J. Riley and wife, Sylvia of Gallup, NM; seven grandsons; six granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Angeline Costa of Simi Valley, CA, Alice Roule of Greenfield, MA and Yvonne Ferguson of Norwich, NY; and brother, Bill Riley of Glendora, CA. Mr. Riley was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Riley Duran. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force after 23+ years of service, including service with the 8th Air Force Division in England during WWII. He was a longtime member of Belen B.P.O.E. Roberts -- Connie Laura Roberts, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1982 and a former longtime resident of Pampa, TX, died Saturday, January 22, 2000. She is survived by her granddaughters, Connie Muniz and husband, Michael of Albuquerque and Susan Carl and husband, Jeff of Santa Rosa, CA; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Marion Roberts; daughter, June Murtha; and grandson, Earl L. Murtha Jr. Mrs. Roberts was a member of First Baptist Church in Albuquerque and First Baptist Church, Pampa, TX. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Pampa, TX for over 50 years. Graveside services will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, TX, with Rev. John N. Glover officiating. Romero -- Moises S. Romero, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 23, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Sophie and husband, Robert, Virginia and husband, Ronnie, and Pauline; sons, Moises Jr., and Marty and wife, Mary; also surviving is sister, Lucianita Mejia; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Moises received the Purple Heart during World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Post #3; he had a great sense of humor, was an excellent auto mechanic, and enjoyed restoring antique vehicles and raising his cattle. He was an active member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Moises Romero Jr., Marty Romero, Robert Archibeque, Ronnie Herrera, Ronald Herrera, and Moises Herrera. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Alameda Chapel. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel. Sultemeier -- Richard Simpson Sultemeier, age 77, and a longtime resident of Santa Rosa, passed away January 24, 2000 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an extended illness. Richard was born March 17, 1922 in Corona, New Mexico to the home of Richard G. and Ila Joe Simpson Sultemeier. He was in the United States Army during WWII, serving as a Staff Sergeant in the 7th Medical Battalion. He married Peggy White on December 26, 1947 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Richard was a longtime Cattle Rancher, he was a member of the United Methodist Church in Santa Rosa, the Liberty Lodge #51 AM & FM, Scottish Rite Valley of Santa Fe, Sunshine Chapter #44 O.E.S., Legion of Honor Order of De Molay, and a longtime member of the New Mexico Cattle Growers Association. Richard loved working with cattle, horses and sheep. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sister, Lucille. Survivors include his wife, Peggy of the family home in Santa Rosa; three sons, Don and wife, Kathie of Santa Rosa, Charles and wife, Candace of Dalhart, TX, and J. Joe and wife, Karen of Duncanville, TX; grandchildren, Melvin, Elisabeth, Elaine, Emma Jo, Jessica and Jeffery. Also surviving are numerous relatives and a host of friends. Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Luis Orozco officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Santa Rosa with Masonic graveside services provided by Liberty Lodge #51. Serving as pallbearers are all his Masonic Brothers. Tilton -- Corwin Curtis"Bill" Tilton, 87, passed over on January 23, 2000 at home in Sandia Park, surrounded by his family. He was born March 6, 1912 in Catlin, IL, the youngest of nine children of Cora Little Tilton and Ralph Russell Tilton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in September, 1999; a son, Corwin; his parents; and his brothers and sisters, Clara, Helen, Eunice, Bernice, Vance, Sam and Frank. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Elizabeth Tilton and Mallinda Dempsey; son-in-law, Frank Dempsey; and grandchildren, Kirk Grubbs, Matthew Grubbs, Christopher Dempsey, Aaron Dempsey, Dacia Dempsey; and his special friend and namesake, Corwin"Cory" Dempsey. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph and sister-in-law, Blanche Tilton of Houston, TX, sister-in-law, Charlotte Toulouse and Jim Toulouse of Albuquerque, and sister-in-law, Betty Johnson also of Albuquerque; and a host of loving nieces and nephews who adored him. In addition, he leaves Gerl, the last in a long line of Boston Bull dogs with the same name. Bill came to Albuquerque in 1926 to join his mother and brother, Vance. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1930 and served his country in the Navy during World War II. He and his family ran Tilton's Store in Sandia Park for 43 years, and was Postmaster until 1977 when he retired. He married Margaret Johnson in 1948 and raised two daughters. They had the good fortune to be surrounded by their children and grandchildren up until the end. Bill was a quiet, unassuring man who counted among his good friends through the years and old villagers of San Antonio, authors, nuclear physicists, vacationers, picnickers, and hundreds of children to whom he handed out candy to the dismay of their parents. His passing will leave a void in the life of his family and friends and a last link with a world we will never know. The sorrow of his loss is mitigated by the joy in knowing he is with Margie. In accordance with his wishes, he has been cremated with no services.
