Obituary for Price

Louis J. Price, 94, most beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Saturday, January 22, 2000. He is survived by his daughters, Coewena Dinkle and her husband, George, and Ann Van Horn, all of Albuquerque; step-son, Lewis Sullivan; grandchildren, Thomas Dinkle of New Mexico, Stephan Bradley Van Horn of Rio Rancho, Michael Gayle Van Horn and wife, Susie L. of Albuquerque, Louis Gregory Van Horn and wife, Debbie of Mosquero, NM, Melissa Ann Sanchez and husband, Randall of Albuquerque, Louis J. Price III and wife, Annette of Los Angeles, CA, Ryan Price and wife, Marieke of UK, Adrian Harjo and husband, Paul of Broken Arrow, OK; step-grandchildren, Susan, David and Jackie; great-grandchildren, Desiree Dinkle, Eric Estevan Van Horn, Ryan Van Horn, Jessica Nicole Van Horn, Jacob Michael Van Horn, Grace Van Horn, Lucas Van Horn, Trenton Van Horn, Savanah Marie Sanchez and Mariah Price. Mr. Price was preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva C. Price in 1959; second wife, Lois A. Price in 1997; and son, Louis Johnson Price Jr. in 1994. Mr. Price worked as an electrician for nearly 20 years at Sandia National Laboratory and had previously served as a District Manager for Oklahoma Power and Water. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Mr. Price was known for being very generous, loving, and lived to help others. We are very grateful for the fine Christian example his life demonstrated, and he leaves those memories for all of us. Services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2000, 2:00 p.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd. SE, with Rev. John B. Wild officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 1250 Hylan Blvd., Stanton Island, NY 10305 or to Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd. SE 87106.
