Galloway -- John Scott Galloway, beloved son and brother, died of a heart attack August 31, 1999 at the age of 45. He leaves behind his mother, Josephine D. Mechem and her husband, Edwin L. Mechem; his three sisters, Ann, Beth and Christin and their husbands, Gerald, Larry and Bill. He is also survived by his niece, Downie; nephews, Thomas, Stanley and Sean. John was preceded in death by his father, Stanley D. Galloway and his niece, Jennifer Ann Van Hanerbeke. It is impossible to express how much he will be missed. John was a graduate of Highland High School and the University of New Mexico's Robert O. Anderson School of Business with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Services will be held Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church, 601 Montano Rd. NW. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Helling -- Kenneth W. Helling, born on February 28, 1916 in Madison, South Dakota, died on Tuesday, August 31, 1999 at the age of 83 after a long illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 4, 1999, with Father Renfroe officiating at Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW. Interment will follow in Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the name of Kenneth W. Kessinger -- Frances Dale Kessinger, beloved mother of Claire Kessinger-Mathey, Christina Kessinger and Peter Kessinger, passed away on September 3, 1999 after a valiant battle with cancer. After retiring in 1992 from an award-winning career as a teacher of the gifted at Highland High School, she served as a docent at the Center for the Book at the Special Collections Library, as well as pursuing her talent as a writer of children's books and poetry. Dale's generous and loving presence will be dearly missed by her family and many devoted friends. May she rest in peace. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2:00 p.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, Albuquerque. Lopez -- Joey Lopez, 17, was called home to be with the Lord after courageously battling a lengthy illness, Wednesday, September 1, 1999, while surrounded by his loving family. Joey was a very outgoing and loving young man who was born on April 11, 1982 in Albuquerque; he was a student at West Mesa High School; an avid Dallas Cowboy fan; he was an honorary volunteer Fire Fighter for the Bernalillo County Fire Department. Joey believed in living life to it's fullest, which meant doing the things he enjoyed most. For Joey, Red Lobster and Furr's Cafeteria were his favorite places to eat; he was an inventor and loved to experiment; he loved life and his family. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Gavina Perea; his step-father, David Stewart. He is survived by his loving mother, Christina Stewart; his caring grandmother, Dottie Gonzales of the family home; one sister, Casandra Stewart; two brothers, Joshua and Jacob Stewart. Also surviving are a special father, Clarence Parker; a very special uncle, Dan Lopez; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends. Joey will be greatly missed by his loving family and those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning, 9:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Fr. James Moore as Celebrant. Casket bearers will be Dan Lopez, Vinnie Lopez, Ken Lopez, Dr. Jerry Beltez, James Velverde, Kirt Roepke and Casandra Stewart. Honorary bearers will be Sabrina Lopez, Tiffany Jaramillo, Clearence Parker and Paul Stewart. Vaughn -- William D. Vaughn, age 54, of Prewitt, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 1. Mr. Vaughn was born June 16, 1945 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to William Clifford Vaughn and Dorothy Wallace Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn is survived by his son, Rowdy Vaughn of Long Beach, CA; his daughter, Deanne and her husband, Daniel Torres of Coupland, TX; his grandson, Tristan Torres of Coupland, TX; his mother, Dorothy Vaughn of Edgewood; his two brothers, Jim Vaughn and his wife, Barbara of Prewitt and Jerry Vaughn and his wife, Pam of Tijeras; his sister, Sharon and her husband, Richard Crotwell of Edgewood; five nieces; two nephews; and three great-nieces. Mr. Vaughn was a member of UA Local 412 Plumbers and Pipefitters for 35 years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, was a member of the Prewitt Rodeo Association, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Memorial services will be Monday, September 6, 11:00 a.m., at Grants Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Jim Thompson officiating. Angelos -- 1955-1999 Nikie Angelos, 43, of Rio Communities, died on Friday, September 3, at her home. Nikie was preceded in death by her father, Louis Angelos of Roswell. She is survived by her mother, Pat; her sister, Kristy Groves; and her two brothers, Lou and Jim Angelos, all of Roswell. She is also survived by her husband of ten years, Dennis Coberly; and her four children, Christopher Sisneros, 19, Shiloh Sisneros, 17, Patrick Sisneros, 16, and Myriah Coberly, 12. She is also survived by her step-children, L.C., Troy and Spring Coberly. The family requests donations be made to the Shriner's Cripples Children's Fund in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6, at Riverside Funeral Home in Belen. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, at Riverside with Fred Kerns officiating.

Baca -- Mrs. Beatrice Aragon-Baca, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on September 3, 1999. Mrs. Baca was the loving mother to two daughters, Mary Lou Ames and Deluvina Carabajal; six sons, Johnny Griego and wife, Lillian, Joey Baca and wife, Priscilla, Tito Baca and wife, Linda, Alfred Baca, Benny Baca and wife, Laura, and Albert Baca and wife, Esther; one sister, Victoria Santana; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Rose Sanchez and husband, Pio and Angie Alderete and husband, David; step-daughter-in-law, Corina Baca; three step-sons, Eddie Baca and wife, Mary, Freddie Baca and Willie Baca and wife, Alice; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; relatives and friends. Mrs. Baca was preceded in death by her husband, Feliberto"Tito" Baca, 1974. Mrs. Baca was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday afternoon, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. Elfego Moya and Orlando Trujillo reciting. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Family Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with visitation after 9:30 a.m. Deacon Enrique Padilla officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gino Baca, Angelo Baca, Eric Ames, Herman Sanchez, Eddie Baca Jr., and Manuel Carabajal Jr. Honorary will be her granddaughters, Sara Ames, Kelly Sanchez, Cynthia Lucero, Patricia Carabajal, Ashley Baca and Dorothy Montano. Bell -- Clara Marie Bell, 100, born on April 3, 1899, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 1999. She is survived by one son, Albert Bell and wife, Janice of Albuquerque; one daughter, Mary Levine and husband, Jerry of Mesa, AZ; two grandchildren, Christina and Stixrud and husband, Ted, Greg Bell; five great-granddaughters, Heather Stixrud, Danielle Stixrud and Alyssa Stixrud, Brittany Bell and Amanda Bell. She was a resident of Albuquerque for 27 years. A private Memorial service will be held at Pickard Convalescent Center and burial of cremated remains will be in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.
