Garcia -- Manuel Garcia, 81, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 20, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Lillian of 55 years; sister, Mary Torres; son, Anthony and girlfriend, Emily Archuleta; daughter, Gloria Ruiz and fiance, Tony Cordova; grandchildren, Fran Ruiz, Antoinette Sanchez and husband, Rodney, Alice Butler and husband, Leroy; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Adrien and Tiffany; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Rosary will be held Sunday, April 25, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be Monday, April 26, 10:00 a.m., at San Felipe de Neri Church, with burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Garcia -- Patrick Matthew Garcia, 32, a resident of Belen, passed away on Friday, April 24, 1999. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. He graduated from the New Mexico Corrections Department Academy on December 16, 1994, and was a correctional officer for the past seven years at the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Los Lunas, where he was a member of the Tactical Response Team and the Designated Armed Response Team. He was very proud of his career in corrections. Patrick was the coach of the Belen Little League Rookies and the Youth Basketball League. He was a member of the men's softball league, and a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He owned Starfire Disc Jockey Service and was a well known area chimney sweep. He loved playing Santa Clause for his children and all his nieces, nephews and family members, as well as the Belen Recreation Center. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Prudencio and Lucinda Hurbina, his paternal grandmother, Patsy Serna, and his uncles, Prudencio and Macario Hurbina. Patrick is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Victoria Maestas Garcia, who is expecting their third child; his two sons, Patrick and Diego; his mother, Valerie and Frank Sanchez; his father, Andrew Garcia and his wife, Nila; his brother, Andrew Garcia and his wife, Louise; two sisters, Julie Garcia and Carla Mora and her husband, Tunney; his step brother, Shawn Garcia; his step sister, Isha Garcia; his grandfather, T.J. Serva; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenny and Nora Maestas; and his sisters-in-law, Eugena and Monica Maestas. He is also survived by his many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Andrew Garcia, Feliciano Garcia, Ken Carrejo, Danny Sedillo, Leonard Jaramillo, Jack Williams, Gilbert Flores, and Andrew Lauer. Honorary Pallbearers will be all correctional officers at the Central N.M. Correctional Facility. The Honor Guard is made up of members of the Critical Emergency Response Team Honor Guard. Gorgone -- The family of Virginia H. Gorgone, who passed away in Albuquerque, on April 3, 1999, would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been so kind and supportive during this difficult time, and to invite friends to join them in a Memorial Service celebrating Virginia's life, on Saturday, May 1st at 10:00 a.m., at La Vida Llena Retirement Community, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE. Greenwell -- James Russell Greenwell passed away April 21, 1999. He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvan D. Greenwell and mother, Kay Russell Greenwell. Jim was born in Vincennes, IN, October 31, 1933. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1950 and subsequently joined the US Navy. After a tour of duty in the Mediterranean he returned to New Mexico to apprentice as a journeyman machinist. He lived and worked in New Mexico the remainder of his life. Jim is survived by his son, David Greenwell; daughter-in-law, Betsy; daughter, Cindy Joseph; son-in-law, Patrick; youngest daughter, Renee Glass; son-in-law, David; his stepchildren, Cherryl Greene, Randy Travis, Brett Travis, Robbie Travis, Kari Lynch and their families; his grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Dustin, Lane and P.J.; also the soulmate of his life, Ava Lovell and her daughter, Tasha. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and hospital staff at Lovelace for their loving care."Surely goodness and mercy have followed me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Services were held Saturday at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Pastor Lemuel Boyles officiating.

Groshong -- Amanda Groshong, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Thursday, April 22, 1999. She is survived by one son, Ernest Groshong, Jr. and wife, Betty of Sequim, WA; two daughters, Carol Baldwin and husband, Harry of St. Charles, MO and JoAnn Milks and husband, Raymond of Albuquerque; two sisters, Hattie Martin and husband, Harvey of Moscow Mills, MO and Dolores Stigemier of St. Charles, MO; one brother, Albert Schnarr of St. Ann, MO; one sister-in-law, Hazel Groshong of Troy, MO; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Groshong was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Groshong on March 29, 1980; three sisters; and one brother. She and her husband were custodians for 27 years for Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in Albuquerque. She was active for many years with the Immanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Aide. She also was active in the Kachina Grandmothers Club for several years. Services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Gold Ave. SE, with Pastor Randy Walquist officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Ted Whitney, Alan Geuder, Ken Dick, Ernie Beck, Ralph Brandt and Gene Fischer. Gurule -- Viola Gurule, 68, a resident of Albuquerque for the past nineteen years, passed away on Friday, April 23, 1999. Viola was born December 18, 1930, the daughter of Jose Cayetano and Rogeria Gurule, in Alameda, New Mexico. She had been a Franciscan Nun with the Catholic Church and taught elementary school and Novica's. She had traveled to Rome, Panama, and California as part of her duties. She was a member of the Legion of Mary. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Elena Sanchez, and one brother, Jose de La Luz Gurule. She is survived by five brothers and one sister, Epifano T. Gurule of Alameda, Estefanita Peralta of Albuquerque, Jose Domigo Gurule of Alameda, Moises Gurule of LaPonte, CA, Jesus Maria Gurule of Paramont, CA, and Agustin Gurule of Oakley, CA. The Rosary for Viola will be held on Monday, April 26, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Alameda. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 27, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nativity Church. The Interment will follow in the San Carlos Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Epifano Gurule, Jr., Leroy Gurule, Jerry Lee Gurule, Dennis Gurule, Jose Cayetano Gurule, and Carlos Gurule. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.

Hall -- Geraldine"Jerry" D. Hall, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Friday, April 23, 1999. She is survived by her son, Robert S. Hall and wife, Suzanne of South Gate, CA; daughter, Shellie Morcom and husband, Michael of Orono, NE; granddaughters, Trina Hall of South Gate, CA and Laura Hall-Morcom of Orono, ME; and grandson, Preston Hall of South Gate, CA. Hamm -- Jeraldine E."Jeri" Hamm, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, died Friday, April 23, 1999. She is survived by her sons, Shaun Newton and wife, Nina of Albuquerque and Steve Newton and wife, Linda of Des Moines, IA; granddaughters, Natalie Newton, Dawn Barreras and husband, J.B., all of Albuquerque, Niko Newton of Santa Fe, and Lisa Newton and Kathy Newton of Des Moines, IA; grandsons, Mike Newton and Bob Newton of Des Moines, IA; brother, Delbert Madsen of Merrit Island, FL; and sisters, Jean Zaccagnino of Flemington, NJ and Phyllis Berling of Middleton, NJ. Mrs. Hamm retired from the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District. She loved to travel and was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and friends. Services will be Tuesday at noon at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Lem Boyles officiating. Harvey -- Ronnie Mack Harvey, 62, of Lubbock passed away at his son's home in Lubbock, Friday, April 23, 1999 under Hospice care. He was born June 16, 1936 in Guymon, OK. A celebration of life will be his Memorial in June in Amarillo. He was raised in the Amarillo area where he graduated from Amarillo High School. He graduated from North Texas State where he played basketball for the university. His career took him to Dallas and Albuquerque in various financial institutions. He is survived by three sons, Kyle Harvey of Lubbock, Jeff Harvey of Ada, OK, Tim Harvey of Antlers, OK; two brothers, Donald Harvey of Albuquerque, NM and John Harvey of Dallas; one sister, Susan Allen of Ada, OK; eight grandchildren.
