Jeraldine E."Jeri" Hamm, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, died Friday, April 23, 1999. She is survived by her sons, Shaun Newton and wife, Nina of Albuquerque and Steve Newton and wife, Linda of Des Moines, IA; granddaughters, Natalie Newton, Dawn Barreras and husband, J.B., all of Albuquerque, Niko Newton of Santa Fe, and Lisa Newton and Kathy Newton of Des Moines, IA; grandsons, Mike Newton and Bob Newton of Des Moines, IA; brother, Delbert Madsen of Merrit Island, FL; and sisters, Jean Zaccagnino of Flemington, NJ and Phyllis Berling of Middleton, NJ. Mrs. Hamm retired from the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District. She loved to travel and was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and friends. Services will be Tuesday at noon at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Lem Boyles officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the service. Donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation of New Mexico, 124 Alvarado Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 or the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
