Obituary for Gurule

Viola Gurule, 68, a resident of Albuquerque for the past nineteen years, passed away on Friday, April 23, 1999. Viola was born December 18, 1930, the daughter of Jose Cayetano and Rogeria Gurule, in Alameda, New Mexico. She had been a Franciscan Nun with the Catholic Church and taught elementary school and Novica's. She had traveled to Rome, Panama, and California as part of her duties. She was a member of the Legion of Mary. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Elena Sanchez, and one brother, Jose de La Luz Gurule. She is survived by five brothers and one sister, Epifano T. Gurule of Alameda, Estefanita Peralta of Albuquerque, Jose Domigo Gurule of Alameda, Moises Gurule of LaPonte, CA, Jesus Maria Gurule of Paramont, CA, and Agustin Gurule of Oakley, CA. The Rosary for Viola will be held on Monday, April 26, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Alameda. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 27, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nativity Church. The Interment will follow in the San Carlos Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Epifano Gurule, Jr., Leroy Gurule, Jerry Lee Gurule, Dennis Gurule, Jose Cayetano Gurule, and Carlos Gurule. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
