Baca -- Antonio Jose Baca, 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday December 19, 1998. He was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his loving wife, Senaida Baca; his two sons, Raymond L. Baca and wife, Sharon, Christopher J. Baca and wife, Patricia; his three daughters, Rosemary Olguin and husband, Ernest, Theresa Baca, Vina M. Baca; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Baca and a sister, Guadalupe Otero all of Albuquerque. Visitations will be held today from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, corner of 8th and Iron SW where a rosary will also be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday December 21, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, NM. Interment will follow at the Tome Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Christopher Olguin, Jason Baca, Mark Baca, Raymond Olguin, Ernest Baca and Robert Candelaria. Clifford -- Nora Odessa Clifford, age 65, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Friday, December 18, 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Bernice King, and by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Clifford. Odessa is survived by her husband of 44 years, Raymond; two sons, Richard and wife, Dianna and Nathan and wife, Leanne; five daughters, Ronda Nichols and husband, Denver, Tammy Martinez and husband, Vince, Lisa Clifford, Gidget Ledbetter and husband, Gary and Tonya Arnold and husband, Kip; two brothers, Leroy King and wife, Betty, and Bill King and wife, Anne; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 22, 1998, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Lindrith, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Lindrith Cemetery.

Digneo -- Ellen Hartnett Digneo, educator and long time Santa Fe resident, died Thursday, December 17, 1998 in Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ellen Hartnett; and her brothers, Sam and Ernest Harnett. Mrs. Digneo was born in Oswalt, Iowa, the daughter of Ellen and Samuel Harnett. She received her B.A. in Education at Drake University and a Masters Degree at Columbia University in New York. She did her graduate work at Iowa State University. She taught elementary and High School for 10 years in Colfax, Iowa, then worked as the County Superintendent of Jasper County, Iowa. She was a Professor of Drake University in Des Moines, then worked for 16 years for the New Mexico Department of Education and as a professor at the College of Santa Fe for 10 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a National Education Sorority. She was also a member of the Santa Fe Pilot Club, was named Santa Fe Woman of the Year in 1973, was National President of the County and Rural Superintendents, President of the Rocky Mountain Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, chairperson of the Deans of State Colleges of Education and is listed in Whos Who in American Education. Mrs. Digneo is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Ralph J. Digneo of Santa Fe; sisters-in-law, Louise Hartnett of Albuquerque and Dolly Spelts of Valentine, NE; nieces, Mary Ruth Hanna and husband, Norman of Colfax, IO, Jeanne Hagy of Colfax, IO, Dolores Quintana of Santa Fe, Adrienne Jenkins of San Diego, CA, Barbara Hanna of Colfax, IO; cousins, Edward and Stella Digneo; daughter, Bernadette and son, Vince, Robert Digneo and sons, Robert, Charles and James, Merici Schenberber, Mr. & Mrs. Bernard Quintana, Robert Quintana, Mr. & Mrs. Roy Mignardot, and Mr. & Mrs. Don Giese. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 1998 at St. Francis Cathedral. A reception will follow at the Fr. Crespin Hall immediately after Mass. Dodd -- Walter L. Dodd, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died on Wednesday, December 16, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, B. Joan Dodd of Albuquerque; daughter, Elizabeth S. Dodd of San Francisco, CA; son, Jeffrey L. Dodd and wife, Carolyn M. Voss of Albuquerque; and granddaughter, Meredith R. Russell and husband, Thomas Gerdes of California. Mr. Dodd was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Coast Guard. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. Mr. Dodd also loved to read and enjoyed ballooning with his family. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. Mr. Dodd retired from Sandia Labs after 17 years of service in 1973. He later worked with the State of New Mexico, Human Service Department for approximately five years; then with Albuquerque Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher's Aide. He will be remembered for his positive nature and wonderful sense of humor. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, December 21, 1998, 11:00 a.m., at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Reverend Harold T. Nilsson officiating. Loring -- Margaret H. Loring, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died Wednesday, December 16, 1998. She is survived by her son, Randall Loring of Albuquerque; daughter, Patricia Loring McCormick of Sandia Park, NM; grandson, John Loring of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Hilary Loring McCormick of Albuquerque and Jennifer Loring of Florida; and brother, Harold Hald of Cumberland, WI. Mrs. Loring was a devoted military wife and cherished mother. She was an associate member of the CMDR Simpson/LTC Loring Chapter of the Military Order of World Wars which was named in honor of her husband. During her life she lived throughout the United States, Germany, and Korea. He is also survived by three daughters, Betty Lucero-Stevens and husband, Jack, Julia Lucero-Lopez and husband, Danny and Suzanne Lucero-Provencio and husband, Chris; two sons, Michael Lucero and Leonard Lucero; one brother, Raymond Benavidez and wife, Judy; one step-brother, Joseph Villegas and wife, Natosha; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, Tiffany, Jennifer, Marisa, Cheyenne, Joshua, Jordan and Ryan; a daughter-in-law, Rosenda Lucero; his mother-in-law, Ruby Gallegos; and all his special nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Morrison -- Charles W. Morrison, was born November 3, 1918 in Gotebo, OK. He died December 18, 1998 in Albuquerque at the age of 80. He served in Europe during World War II with the 442 Regimental Combat Team and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a graduate of Midwestern University and NM State University and taught Vocational Agriculture in Des Moines and Moriarty, NM. He was retired from the State Department of Education. He was a long time member of Rotary International and Moriarty Bethel Methodist Church. He was a loving husband of 58 years, a devoted father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; sons, Randy and Pat of Tempe, AZ and College Station, TX; daughter, Sharon Martinez of Castle Rock, CO; and nine grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 Monday, December 21, 1998 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 9500 Constitution NE with the Reverends Gerald White and Brian Peterson officiating. Robert, as he was known here, is finally at peace after suffering for many years after a tragic hit and run accident in September, 1980. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carminda Moreira de Sampaio and his father, Genezio Pelboiares de Sampaio. He is survived by beloved wife, Mary, his daughter, Sasha and son, Scott; his family in Belo Horizonte, Brazil; his sister, Artlet and dear brother-in-law, Delio Janneu; his godson, Betino; his brother, Edvard and sister-in-law, Elanie, nephew, Glason and niece, Patricia; his sister, Maria Helena, niece, Roberta, nephew, Etalo; also his wife's family in Scotland and sister-in-law Brida and brother-in-law George Gregory in New Jersey. Before his accident, Robert was diesel mechanic and photographer, he loved to play soccer, he always had a courageous and indomitable spirit and was concerned with world affairs. There will be a memorial service for Robert at the UNM Alumni Chapel at 6:30 pm on December 21st. Cremation has been arranged.

Stephens -- T. Ruth Stephens, 90, born Dec. 8, 1908 died Dec. 14, 1998. She is survived by sons, Jerry W. Stephens and wife, Donna, J. Michael Stephens; grandchildren, Jerilynn Huebschman and husband, Martin, Anthony M. Stephens, Robert M. Stephens and wife, Tonya, David M. Stephens; and seven great-grandchildren. She was a teacher for approximately 50 years, teaching in Las Vegas, NM, El Rito, NM, El Paso, TX, and Albuquerque. Children and books were two of the most important things to her, so, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate or read a book to a child. In accordance with Ruth's wishes, a private memorial service will take place.

Thompson -- Gordon James Thompson, age 77, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 14, 1998 at his home after a courageous battle with heart disease. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945. After his discharge he lived in Southern California before moving to Albuquerque in 1962 to form Push Button Container Corporation, which he ran as President until he sold the business and retired in 1982. He became a member of Four Hills Country Club in 1962 and enjoyed many years on the golf course. He loved to travel and he visited many countries. Some of his happiness times were spent with his family. He loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy; his daughter, Dianne Hall and husband, Melvin of Aztec, NM; two grandsons, Garrett Hall of Aztec, NM and Wesley Hall and wife, Katherine of Las Cruces, NM; and great-granddaughter, Aspen Hall. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Hilda and John Bird of Great Britain. Cremation has taken place. Thompson -- Ruth S. Thompson, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for over 50 years, passed away on December 10, 1998. Born March 3, 1915 in Trinidad, Colorado, she was the youngest daughter of Anton B. and Lula C. Stromberg. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Oliver Thompson of Albuquerque. She is survived by her daughter, Susan D'Lamater and husband, Gary of Carlisle, PA; two sons, William Thompson and wife, Bobbie, and James Thompson, both of Albuquerque; and five grandchildren, Faith, Alison, Evan, Erin and Brent. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 11:00 a.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd. SE. Trujillo -- Becky Aragon-Montoya-Trujillo, 41, passed away on December 17, 1998. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred Aragon. She is survived by her husband, Florenio Trujillo; her two sons, Tony Gordon Montoya & Ray A. Van Driel -- Robert Van Driel, passed away on December 18, 1998. Robert Holle Van Driel was born to Frederick and Libbie Van Driel on October 19, 1912 in Pewaukee, WI. His wife, Louise preceded him in death on February 10, 1997. They were married April 5, 1942. Making their home in Albuquerque for 55 years. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John and a sister, Marie Van Driel Survivors include five nieces, Kitsy, wife of Alton Boyd of Ruidoso, NM, Rachel Bingamen, CA, Debra Washkkuhn, WI, Holly and Linda Van Driel, WI, brother-in-law, John F. Ball and wife, Pauline, Roswell, NM; nephew, Senator Jeff Bingamen, Washington, DC. Robert also called Bob graduated from Pewaukee High school and Marquette University. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged January 3, 1946. He wrote songs and played the trumpet, playing in bands and singing when possible. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 1998, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Walker -- Juanita Virginia Walker, 68, a resident of Albuquerque, since 1948 went to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 17, 1998, after a long illness. She was a member in good standing at New Hope Baptist Church for 44 years. Preceding her in death was her husband of 37 years, Rev. Herbert Hoover Walker. She is survived by her daughter, Gwendolyn F. Mosley and husband, E. Stanley; son, Herbert S. Walker and wife, Alesia F.; son, Steven T. Walker and wife, Mary Ann all of Albuquerque. Eight grandchildren and one-great-granddaughter; Kevin G. Mosley of Pasadena, CA, Herbert M. Walker of Dallas, TX, Anitra L. Walker, Donavan S. Mosley, Kenneth M. Mosley, Ryan S. Walker, Steven R. Walker, Mary R. Walker, and Elexis Drennan all of Albuquerque. Ware -- Mr. Benjamin (Ben) R. Ware, 49, a resident of Los Lunas, NM passed away on December 18, 1998. Zamora -- Precilla Zamora, 80, passed away of a broken heart on December 17, 1998. Precilla is preceded in death by her beloved husband Antonio of 52 years just four months ago.
