Ortiz -- Mr. Nick P. Ortiz died on Friday at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Ortiz; two sons, Gerald Ortiz and Richard Ortiz; two daughters, Carmen and Cecilia; step-children, Alviria, Alfred and Viola; step-children in law Gertrude and Rudy; one sister, Mary Moore of Denver, CO; five grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, two of which he helped raise Donna and Roxanne and a very dear step-great-granddaughter, Adriana. Funeral services for Mr. Ortiz will be held on Monday at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where the mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Fairview Memorial park. Pallbearers will be Al Tafoya III, Ernie Mascarenas Jr., Tim Gonzales, Ben Gonzales, Max Quintana and Sean Crespin. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Leyba, Rudy Crespin, Ralph Leyba, Richard Ortiz and Al Tafoya. Visitations will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW.
