Boughey -- Alma S. Boughey, age 91, of Marble Falls, Texas, formerly of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998. She was born in LaGrange, Texas, attended public schools in Texas, The University of Texas, Austin, and Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy. She practiced her profession in hospital in Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan with the U.S. Army Hospital Corps at Camp Blanding, FL, and in New Mexico, retiring from the Veterans Administration in Albuquerque in 1969, where she had been Chief of the Services for 17 years. Her hobbies included hiking, world wide travel, crafts and gardening. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Marble Falls, TX, American Occupational Therapy Assn., and the National Association of Federal Employee Services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donley of Tranverse City, Michigan in 1944; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Cusack of Albuquerque in 1978, Mrs. Martha Byrd of San Antonio, TX in 1993; and a brother, Mr. Emil Sumbera of Austin, TX and Atlanta, GA in 1991. Survivors include nieces, Mrs. Patricia Logan of Marble Falls, TX, Mrs. Joe Anne Hallgren of Atlanta, GA; nephews, Mr. William Byrd, Mr. Robert Byrd of San Antonio, TX, and Mr. Richard Byrd of Canyon Lake, TX; many great-nieces and nephews; several great-great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great-niece. Memorial services will be in Altura Park on Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at 10:00 a.m., in Albuquerque.

C'debaca -- Jose (Joe) Maria C'De Baca, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1928, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 4, 1998. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Martinez and husband, Isaiah of Belen, Esther Blea and husband, Johnie of San Antonio, TX, and Mary Van Ginkle and husband, Gary of Sandia Park; sons, James C'De Baca and wife, Rose of Bernalillo, Dr. John C'De Baca and wife, Sharon of Midway, KY, and Ben C'De Baca and wife, Alice of Albuquerque; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Josie Garcia of Santa Fe; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his companion of 25 years, Loretta M. Smith. Mr. C'De Baca was proud of being a direct descendent of the Spanish explorer, Cabeza de Vaca. He was also a member of a pioneer New Mexican family whose uncle, Ezequiel C'De Baca was Governor of New Mexico. Mr. C'De Baca was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Navy. He was a barber for 42 years in New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Illinois, being proud of prominent customers, US Marshall Don Marshall, City Sheriff Felipe Zamora, Senator Dennis Chavez, and Deputy Elfego Baca. Mr. C'De Baca's hobbies were boxing, fishing, hunting and music. Prayer services will be held Sunday, 8:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Dr. John C'De Baca officiating. Funeral services will be held Monday, 9:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Dr. John C'De Baca officiating. Interment will take place at 11:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Connell -- Eugene"Gene" Stratton Taft Connell, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died peacefully in the presence of his wife and eight children, Wednesday, March 4, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Billie Connell of the family home; sons, Charles Connell and wife, Joann of Oregon, and Steve McClure and wife, Karen of Springer, NM; daughters, Julia Horton of Albuquerque, Eileen Weber and husband, Jeff of California, Elizabeth D. Connell, and Linda Kaiser and husband, Chuck of Oregon, Mary Lynn Perkins and husband, Bob of Texas, and Amy Monsees and husband, A.J. of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Pauline Garza and husband, Zaragoza of Texas; former wife, Elizabeth H. Connell of California; and mother-in-law, Verlyne Younger of Texas. Mr. Connell was born in New York City, NY. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy and graduated from Bates College, where he excelled in Track and Field. Gene was a veteran of WWII and Korea, having served in the US Army. He was the owner of Commercial Office Supply for 15 years. Gene was an avid UNM Lobo fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Services will be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, 10,000 Spain NE, with Pastor Russell Sorensen officiating. Evans -- Jarold"Jerry" W. Evans, 78, born November 19, 1919, died Thursday, March 5, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the family home; daughter, Sheribeth James and husband, Burnell of Albuquerque; son, Gary Evans and wife, Marilyn of Tijeras; grandchildren, Heather Blakeman of Albuquerque, Tres James and wife, Jenni of San Diego, CA, and Barry James and wife, Cece of Albuquerque; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Blakeman; sister, Ruth Barnes and husband, John of Wichita, KS; sister-in-law, Eva Marie Evans of Lees Summit, MO; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Anabel Dockery of Quanah, TX; and also many close nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold. Mr. Evans attended West Texas State University. Before WWII, he managed the airport in Clayton, NM. Mr. Evans was one of the first instructors of primary and basic training for pilots during WWII. Later, he was a member of the Army Air Corps and the Air Transport Command. During the end of the war, he served as a test pilot at Greenwood, MS. Mr. Evans moved his family to Albuquerque in 1957 and worked with the F.A.A. until his retirement in 1977. He was an active member of Central United Methodist Church. He loved collies, horses, and Corvettes; but most of all, his family and God. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave. NE, with Dr. Charles Crutchfield and Rev. Marty Singleterry officiating. Private interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Garrett -- Wylie Ewing, 58, a resident of Albuquerque since 1987, died Monday, March 2, 1998 at Presbyterian Hospital. Wylie was born July 20, 1939 to Victor and Opal Garrett in Belton, Texas. Following high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps. Later, he attended the University of Houston. At the time of his death, Wylie was Executive Director of The Grand Court, at the retirement community's Albuquerque location. Wylie is survived by his wife of 24 years, Noemi, and their children, Kevin and Ashlee Garrett; his former wife, Bevelyn Garrett, and their children, Dena Engel and husband Alan, Brett Garrett and wife Kim, and Bart Garrett. Wylie is also survived by brothers, Tandy Garrett and wife Pat, Robert Garrett and wife Retta; sister, Vicky Thompson Bair and husband Ken; grandchildren, John, Kelsee and Kaylee; and other family members. Wylie was eternally a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, great-uncle and friend. His presence among us will be dearly missed. Levy -- Karroll J. Levy, 58, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998. Olmstead -- William"Bill" Allen Olmstead, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, died Thursday, March 5, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia of the family home; daughters, Debbie Olmstead and Cindy Andujo and husband, Alex, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Frank Olmstead of Albuquerque, and Edwin Olmstead and wife, Cecilia, all of Albuquerque; and sister, Eva DeLeon and husband, Russell of Pueblo, CO; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Army. Mr. and Mrs. Olmstead were married March 14, 1959 in Las Vegas, NM. Mr. Olmstead was a member of the Church of the Risen Savior, where he was very active in the Spanish Choir. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the German Club, and the American Legion. Mr. Olmstead worked in Santa Fe with the State Auditor and the State Land Commission for 25 years, retiring in 1984. Peters -- Spencer Douglas Peters, infant son and angel of Douglas and Sandra Peters, died peacefully and with dignity on Monday, March 2, 1998. Spencer is survived by his mother and father; his loving brother and sister, Sam and Alyssa ("Libby") of the family home. Spencer is also survived by his grandparents, Mike and Chizuko McCulloch and E.H. and Mary Hildebrandt of Albuquerque; and his great-grandmother, Angela McDonald of El Paso, TX. Spencer leaves behind his loving uncles and aunts, Alex and Lillian Peters of Albuquerque, Pat and J.P. Soden of Sebastopol, CA, Jean and Manuel Lucero of Albuquerque, Drs. Richard Hildebrandt and Teri Longacre of Menlo Park, CA, Russell and Kathy Hildebrandt of San Antonio, TX, Fred Hildebrandt of Albuquerque, Susan and Robert Biernacki of Albuquerque, and Joe Hildebrandt of Albuquerque. Spencer will be remembered and missed by his special cousins, Amanda and Alexandra Peters, Alex and Max Soden, Emma Lucero, Nicole, Jesse and Danielle Hildebrandt, Steffani, Aubrey, Bryan and Rebecca Rose Hildebrandt, and Katie and Beau Biernacki. Sussman -- Allan J. Sussman, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1990, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 1998. Allan was born November 30, 1929, the son of Isaac and Rebecca Telsen Sussman in Brooklyn, New York. He had been a Postmaster with the US Postal service in New York. Allan served in the US Army during the 1950's in the Medical Corp. He had been a Senior Vice Commander of the DAV of Rio Rancho, Chapter 5, Past Commander of the Jewish War Veterans, Post 203, Past President of the Futurama Civic Association in Brooklyn, NY, had been instrumental in developing schools, parks, and transportation in Brooklyn, was President of the Jewish Community Friendship Club. Allan is survived by his wife, Grace of Albuquerque; children, Sheryl Glazer and Ira Sussman and Gregory Glazer of Brooklyn, NY; brother, Milton Tempkin and wife, Blance of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Gregory Glazer of Brooklyn, NY, Erica Glazer and Jo Jo Valdez of Albuquerque; great-grandchild, Dominique Valdez of Albuquerque. A Memorial service for Allan will be held on Monday, March 9, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with Rabbi Isaac Celnik officiating. Valtierra -- Mr. Edward (Eddie) Valtierra died in Albuquerque at the age of 40. Eddie was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Valtierra; brother, David Valtierra; and step-father, Bill Potts. He worked for the Albuquerque Boys and Girls Club, and at Salazar and Sons Mortuary. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend, and he will be greatly missed. Eddie is survived by his mother, Aurora Potts; brothers, Frank Valtierra and wife, Ilene, George Valtierra, Tony Potts and wife, Leticia, and Charles Potts; sisters, Dolores Valtierra, Theresa Lopez and husband, Charles, and Diane Potts; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Eddie will be held on Saturday at Calvary of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna NE, where the service will begin at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Walker -- Mr. Warren Noel Walker, 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 4, 1998. Mr. Walker was the beloved husband of 49 years to Mrs. Elizabeth Haley Walker. Mr. Walker is also survived by four sisters, Lela Smith and husband, John of Applevalley, CA, Clarice Haley and husband, Roy R., Lois Winifred Vickers, and Peggy Jewell from Chillicothe, MO; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, cousins and friends. Mr. Walker was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force, serving in WWII and a member of the V.F.W. Post #6216. He was a graduate of the Avalon High School in Missouri. A visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A visitation will be held Monday morning at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. with Deacon Tibo Chavez officiating. White -- R. Berneice"Bee" White, 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 25 years, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Stephens of Peralta; grandson, Fredric Stephens and wife, Marcia of Grand Rapids, MI; granddaughter, Sheree Osborn and husband, Rick of Bosque Farms; beloved nephew, Richard Moore and wife, Patti of New Castle, IN; and great-granddaughters, Leslie Osborn, Taylor Stephens, Lexington Stephens, and Samantha Stephens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred R. White; son, Hugh Frederick White; sisters, Ethel Moore and Glenda Johnson; parents, David and Allie Dakin; and brother, Murray Dakin. Mrs. White spent many years as Director of Halls at Central Missouri, Northern Arizona, and the University of New Mexico. She was the oldest living member of the First Christian Church of Mooreland, IN, joining in 1915. Services and burial will take place in Mooreland, IN at a later date.
