Obituary for Walker

Mr. Warren Noel Walker, 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 4, 1998. Mr. Walker was the beloved husband of 49 years to Mrs. Elizabeth Haley Walker. Mr. Walker is also survived by four sisters, Lela Smith and husband, John of Applevalley, CA, Clarice Haley and husband, Roy R., Lois Winifred Vickers, and Peggy Jewell from Chillicothe, MO; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, cousins and friends. Mr. Walker was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force, serving in WWII and a member of the V.F.W. Post #6216. He was a graduate of the Avalon High School in Missouri. A visitation will be Sunday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A visitation will be held Monday morning at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. with Deacon Tibo Chavez officiating. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Church with Father John Shedlock, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ray Lucero, Raymond Haley, Wilbur Maberry, Patrick Platero, Larry Nelson, Larry Maberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Maberry, Frank Maberry and Eric Maberry. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
