Nellos -- Joanna Nicholas Nellos, 87, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, died Sunday, May 9, 1999. She is survived by her four sons, George Ernie, Constantine, and Basil; grandchildren, Nicholas George, Robert, Nicholas Basil, Nicholas Constantine, John Constantine, Joanna Constantine, Anastasia Nicol, and Efstratios; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Nellos was born in 1911 in Mitilini, Greece. Her beloved husband, Nicholas George Nellos, born in Pyrgos, Greece, preceded her in death in 1959. Services will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High Street SE, with Father Mario Giannopoulos officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High St. SE 87102. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
