Dennis -- Easter J. Dennis July 10, 1919-April 20, 2000 Mrs. Easter J. Dennis, 80, passed away Thursday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Dennis in 1996. She had been a resident of Albuquerque for 56 years and of Moriarty for the past six months. She was a member of the Fruit Ave. Baptist Church since 1964 and most recently a member of the First Baptist Church of Moriarty. Mrs. Dennis is survived by her son, Roy G. Dennis and his wife, Connie of Moriarty; daughter, Lavonne Hext and her husband, Butch of Albuquerque; sister, Bonnie Roberts of Sudan, Texas; grandchildren, Clay Hext of Albuquerque and Rodney Hext of Arlington, Texas; step-grandchildren Andrea Mungle of Seattle and Elizabeth Mungle of Moriarty; several nieces and nephews and others that Mrs. Dennis claimed as her kids. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Highland Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church with Pastor Kenneth Long officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Moriarty. Arrangements by Riverside Funeral Care Center of Los Lunas 865-1386.
