Easter J. Dennis July 10, 1919-April 20, 2000 Mrs. Easter J. Dennis, 80, passed away Thursday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Dennis in 1996. She had been a resident of Albuquerque for 56 years and of Moriarty for the past six months. She was a member of the Fruit Ave. Baptist Church since 1964 and most recently a member of the First Baptist Church of Moriarty. Mrs. Dennis is survived by her son, Roy G. Dennis and his wife, Connie of Moriarty; daughter, Lavonne Hext and her husband, Butch of Albuquerque; sister, Bonnie Roberts of Sudan, Texas; grandchildren, Clay Hext of Albuquerque and Rodney Hext of Arlington, Texas; step-grandchildren Andrea Mungle of Seattle and Elizabeth Mungle of Moriarty; several nieces and nephews and others that Mrs. Dennis claimed as her kids. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Highland Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church with Pastor Kenneth Long officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
