Yonkers -- Theodore H. Yonkers, age 83, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2002. He was born in Whitesboro, NY, September 30, 1919, the son of John and Hannah Yonkers. Mr. Yonkers was a graduate of Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, and had a career as a self employed insurance adjuster. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Army in the CBI Region, (China, Burma, India). He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #799 of Oriskany, NY. Mr. and Mrs. Yonkers moved to Albuquerque in 1975 following retirement. Survivors include Derfla, his beloved wife; children, Alfred Williams, Kirk Williams and wife, Shirley, and Cindi Williams and husband, Peter Jamison; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cassandra Geiger. Mr. Yonkers was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4. The church is located at 1100 Indian School NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, or a charity of your choice are suggested.
