Parsons-Maes -- Christopher Travis Parsons-Maes, 2 months and 7 days, passed away April 24 at his home in McIntosh. He is survived by his parents, Danny and Elizabeth Maes; three sisters, Bianca, Mariah and Kasandra; and one brother, Aaron; his maternal grandparents, Ray and Cindi Parson of Jemez Springs; paternal grandparents, Albert Maes and Ramona Castillo of Willard, NM; maternal great-grandparents, Ruby Parsons, Ruth and Doyle Dobbs of Albuquerque; paternal great-grandparents, Casianita Gonzales; his aunt and uncle, Kenneth and Joanna Claxton of Seattle, WA. Also surviving are numerous great-aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Herman Parsons, Alfredo Gonzales, Barbara and Cirilio Maes. Viewing will be Thursday, April 27, 2000, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Harris-Hanlon Chapel in Moriarty. Services will be Saturday, April 29, 2000, 3:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Moriarty with Kenny Long officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty. Pallbearers will be Joe Gonzales and Christopher Romero. Christopher will be greatly missed by all. He was loved very much and brought so much joy to us in the short time he was here. Arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.

Peterson -- Carl W. Peterson, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1943, was called to his heavenly mansion, which his Savior had gone 2000 years before to prepare a place for him. "I DREAMED I DIED THE OTHER NIGHT" "I dreamed I died the other night and Heaven's gates swung wide, An angel came with friendly Grace and ushered me inside, And there to my astonishment, stood friends I'd known on earth; Some I'd judged and called unfit, and some of little worth; Indignant words rose to my lips, but never were set free, For every face showed stunned surprise, not one expected me". Mr. Peterson is survived by his children, David Peterson of Albuquerque, Shirley Ann Williams and husband, Linville of Mesa, AZ, and James R. Peterson and wife, Kathleen of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Sherry Peterson of Arvada, CO; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by is wife of 68 years, Ruth B. Peterson in 1997; and son, Nathan C. Peterson of Denver, CO. Mr. Peterson was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was general manager of Fox-Vliet Wholesale Drug CO. Services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4311 12th St. NW, with Pastor Randall B. Senn officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be James Peterson, Stephen Peterson, Travis Moss, Justin Moss, Erik Fritz, and Cruz Martinez. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Schell -- Herb Schell, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2000. Herb enjoyed fishing, rodeo, trips to Las Vegas, and was a loyal Lobo fan. He is survived by his wife, Margie of Albuquerque; son, Gerald and wife, Robbie of Los Lunas; daughters, Cheryl Polnaszek, Lavonna Blye and Sandra Beasley and husband, Jack; step-son, David Fladseth and wife, Marina; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Richard Shaw; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be Saturday, April 29, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Stromberg -- Thomas Daniel Stromberg, born May 5, 1953 in Albuquerque, died Monday, April 17, 2000, in a traffic accident in San Mateo, CA. Tom's charismatic personality brought spirit, creativity, adventure, and a sense of fun to both his family, and hundreds of devoted friends in San Mateo and San Francisco CA, and Seattle, WA. Tom leaves behind a distinguished career in Information Systems, most recently serving as CIO for Walmart.com. He held similar positions in banking and retail services, but more than anything, Tom was a totally dedicated family man. Tom leaves behind Louise, his beloved wife of 17 years; his sons, John and Michael; and his daughter, Katherine. No child was without a playmate if Tom was nearby, and the Stromberg home was a constant center of action, sports and play, always open to friends and visitors. Tom attended St. Pius X High School and the University of New Mexico. Tom is also survived by his parents, Patricia and Robert; sisters, Mary Ann and Marcella (Albuquerque); brother, Mark (Carmel Valley, CA), Peter and James (Albuquerque), Paul (Portland, OR); and numerous nieces and nephews. His brothers, Joseph and John preceded him in death. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, April 24, 2000, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Burlingame, CA. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, 7500 Paseo del Norte, with Father Jerry Plotkowski, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A reception will be held at the home of Jim and Cheri Stromberg. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.

Thompson -- Kathleen J. Thompson, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for 55 years, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 25, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Donner and husband, Jack and Betty Bruskas and husband, Tom; granddaughter, Karen Britt and husband, Craig; grandsons, David Bruskas and wife, Kara, Bill Bruskas and wife, Buffy; nine great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. God used her mightily within her own family and her church family. Her family is forever grateful that she left them such a godly heritage. She faithfully served at First Presbyterian Church 50 years as a greeter, Sunday School teacher, deacon, and elder. She is currently a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where her grandson, David leads an outreach ministry (Midtown Fellowship). A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Rd. NE, with Pastor David Bruskas officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midtown Fellowship, in care of Heights Cumberland, 8600 Academy Rd. NE 87111.

Anaya -- Claudine S. Anaya, age 73, passed away April 25, 2000 at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Claudine was born May 18, 1926 in Duran, NM to the home of Serapio and Juanita Sanchez. She was reared and attended schools in Duran. Claudine worked as a waitress in Vaughn for many years and also worked for Dr. Lapp in Vaughn for several years. She had been a resident of Albuquerque for the past five years. Claudine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam F. Anaya; her only two grandchildren, Joseph Edward Apodaca and Corrina Anaya; and her brother, Joe V. Sanchez. Survivors include her daughter, Helen Apodaca and Valentine Lopez of Clovis; and her son, Sammy Anaya Jr. and wife, Shirley of Texas; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Joseph Montiego. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Tillie Chavez of Albuquerque, Ernestine Zaragoza of Arizona, Merlinda Mendoza of Arizona, Ida Sanchez of Albuquerque, Abran Sanchez of California, Julian Sanchez of Arizona, Henry Sanchez of T or C, and Max Sanchez of Vaughn. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Bernie Sanchez of Santa Rosa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. from St. John the Baptist Church in Duran. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. also from St. John the Baptist Church with Father Patrick Duffy officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Arguello -- Joe Arguello, 70, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952 died, Monday, April 25, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Trinidad Arguello of the family home; six children, David Quintana and wife, Dora of Las Vegas, NM, Joseph Jones of Albuquerque, Isabel Folwell and husband, Henry of Williamsburg, KY, Lorraine Pilkinton and husband, Jerry, Edward Arguello and Laura Lee Olonia and husband, Bob all of Albuquerque; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mariquita Rodriquez and husband, Carlos of Las Vegas, NM; and two brothers, Tony Arguello and wife, Alice of Belen, NM and Jimmy Arguello of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilario and Adella Arguello; brother, Cipriano, Bennie, Cruz and Ramon; and sister, Stella Gonzalez. Mr. Arguello was a member of the Catholic Church. He owned and operated Joe's Barber Shop for 45 years. He was also a member of Moose Lodge #1517, Faternal Order of the Eagles Arie #2811, Santa Fe and American Legion Post 100. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Baca -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBBA JOSEPH NICK BACA JR. 4-27-89 TO 1-29-92 Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or to help you figure out who you are and what you want to become...and sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful and unfair at first but on reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you will never have realized your potential, strength, willpower or heart. Bubba, you taught us how to love, laugh, believe and especially to have faith. We have wonderful memories of you and want your name to live on FOREVER. Bay -- INEZ BAY Born: June 26, 1930 Died: April 15, 2000 Inez died at the home of her daughter, Cherie (Steve) and her family in Safford, Arizona on April 15, 2000, following a long illness. Inez leaves behind four children, Cherie Forsythe (Steve) of Safford, AZ, Garth Bay of Clear, AK, Kim Jensen of Arvada, CO, and Steve Bay of Arvada, CO; three sisters, V.J. Bolinger of Albuquerque, Eileen Walsh (John) of Wichita, KS and Midge Slupnianik (Slup) of Wichita, KS; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and Eddie Clayton, longtime partner who resides in Albuquerque. Inez was a proofreader of court transcripts in the Albuquerque area for many years and was an avid BINGO player. Also left behind are many friends and extended family and her beloved animals, Mutley and Tom. She will be greatly missed, but we feel blessed for the time we had with her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society. Following cremation, services will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe this June.

Bell -- Edna Pearl Bell, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1937, born December 22, 1911 in Hobart, OK, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Berneice Gardner and husband, Bruce of Thoreau, Ella V. Haralson and husband, Ernest, and Pearl Winters and husband, Steve, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Jacqui Gardner of Thoreau, Keith Gardner and wife, Jeana of Clarksville, TN, James C. Haralson and wife, Kathryn of T or C, Barbara Day and husband, Brett, Chris Haralson and wife, Deanna, Doni Winters, Stephen Winters and wife, Angela, Bonnie Foreman and husband, Richard, and Mary Winters, all of Albuquerque; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Bell in 1976. Mrs. Bell managed the snack bar at Albuquerque City Hall for several years. She was devoted to her Christian faith. She attended 1st Baptist Church of Alameda, where she taught Sunday school. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at 1st Baptist Church of Alameda, 8818 2nd St. NW, with Pastor Marvin Capehart and Rev. Bruce Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
