Ballejos -- Ciprian Ballejos Sr., 67, resident of Mountainair, NM, loving son, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at University of New Mexico Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Isabel Ballejos of Mountainair; daughter, Mary Frances Lucero and husband, Arthur Lucero; sons, Ciprian Ballejos Jr. and wife, Yolanda Ballejos and Ted Ballejos and wife, Terry Ballejos, all of Mountainair; and daughter, Rebecca Ballejos, of Belen; he is also survived by his father, Antonio Ballejos, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Arturo Lucero, of Albuquerque, Christina Lucero, and Jeremiah Lucero. Christopher Ballejos, Joseph Ballejos, Joshua Ballejos, Carrie Archuleta, and Franchesca Ballejos, all of Mountainair; great-grandchildren, Felicity Archuleta and Savanna Archuleta of Mountainair. Survived by four brothers, Leo Ballejos and wife, Mary Ballejos, of Albuquerque, Ismael Ballejos and wife, Lillie Ballejos, of Yuma City, CA, Vincent Ballejos, of Albuquerque, and Raymond Ballejos, of Albuquerque; one sister, Mary Chavez, of Albuquerque; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson, Robert John Lucero. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alice Church in Mountainair, officiating by Father Edward Domme. Burial will immediately follow at Mountainair Cemetery.

Blackmon -- Edna Blackmon, 87, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away at home on January 22, 2001. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 26, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Chapel. Pastor Monty Weiss will officiate. Pallbearers are, Ladd Coleman, Tommy Coleman Jr., Ricco Baca, Brandon Baca, Robert Sanchez, Larry Bryant. Carrillo -- Jimmy Carrillo, 55, passed away January 22, 2001. He was a veteran, having served in the USAF. Jimmy was a graduate of Albuquerque High School, and graduate from St. Josephs College with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in bilingual education. He is survived by his mother Louisa Carrillo; five brothers, Nick Jr., and wife Mary, Johnny, Louie, Ray, and Joseph; four sisters, Frances Carrillo, Mary Ann Tenney and husband John, Gloria Carrillo, and Jeanette Martinez; nephews, Adrian, Gilbert, Rico, Anthony, and Lawrence; nieces, Suzie, Beverlie, Valerie, Kim, Erika, Rosebud; and other family and friends who loved and will miss him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2001 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services. Services will be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2001. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2001, with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Davalos, Louie Carrillo, Alfred Gonzales, Gilbert Serna, Adrian Carrillo, and Anthony Aragon. Lawrence Carrillo will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Chavez -- Mrs. Mary T. Chavez, 68, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on January 25, 2001. Mrs. Chavez is the beloved wife of 52 years to Mr. Jimmy S. Chavez. She is also survived by two daughters, Christine C. Chavez and husband, Louie and Karen Torres and husband Ralph; one son, Eugene C. Chavez and fiance, Carol Lucero; one brother, Charles Tapia and wife, Alda, Phoenix, AZ.; six sisters, Betty Tapia Thayer and husband, Allen, JoAnn T. Chavez and husband, Richard of Parker, AZ., Dolores T. Reeves and husband, Albert, Ruth E. Noe and husband, George of Springfield, Missouri, Rebecca Venegas and husband, Issac and Alice Kozlowski and husband Robert; Grandchildren, Rene, Michelle, Ralph L., James, Elicia, Alex, Robert, Marcos, Eugene Jr., Isaac Lee, Santiago, Louie Jr., and Dalilah; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Charlene; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by two sons, James and Leroy Chavez and a brother, Felix Tapia. Gallegos -- Mr. Gilbert Gallegos, 45, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 24, 2001. Mr. Gallegos is survived by his mother, Gavina Gallegos; grandmother, Estelle DeLuna; a daughter, Gloria Marlene Gallegos; a son, Gilbert Samuel Gallegos; granddaughter, Natalie Duran; three sisters, Dorella Rael and husband, Eddie, Mollie Marquez and husband, Anthony; Mary Jean Chavez and husband, Jerry; two brothers, Alonzo Gallegos and wife, Petra, Ronald Gallegos and wife liz; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Gallegos is preceded in death by his father, Emiliano Gallegos. Mr Gallegos was a member of the Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with visitation after 6:30 p.m., Valario and Trini Lucero, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with final visitation at the church after 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetey. Grajeda -- Irene Nan Grajeda, 54, a 12-year resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Reynaldo Rey Grajeda of the family home; son, Dominic Grajeda of Albuquerque; daughters, Dina Giovale and husband, Joe of Phoenix and Regina Grajeda of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Ryan Giovale and Floyd Grajeda; mother, Lupe Alvarado of Pirtleville, AZ; and sisters, Ramona Santamaria and husband, Charlie of Douglas, AZ, and Mary Marshall of Rio Rico, AZ. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Alvarado and brother, Ramon Alvarado. Irene was a member of the Albuquerque Garden Club (Blue Belles), and Risen Savior Prayer Group. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Rosary will be recited Saturday, January 27, 2001, 6:00 p.m., at Risen Savior Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with reception to follow. Mass will be celebrated in Douglas, AZ with interment following at Pirtleville Cemetery in Pirtleville, AZ. Lucero -- Mr. Juan (Chunque) Lucero, 58, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on January 24, 2001. Mr. Lucero is survived by his wife, Maria (Liz) Lucero; one daughter, Diana Contreras and husband, Ray; two sons, John Lucero and Vicente Lucero; two step-sons, Lawrence Lovato and Gabriel Mondragon; grandchildren, John Lucero, Erika, Ray, Anthony and Matthew Contreras and Santiago Lucero; a sister, Dolores Herrera; three brothers, Parrick Alderete, Frankie Lucero and David Lucero; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; brothers and sisters in the Lord. Ludmer -- Graciela Ludmer, 59, a resident of Albuquerque for 28 years, died on Wednesday, January 24, 2001. Graciela was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Silvia Finkel and husband, Jeff; grandson, Joshua Finkel; brother, Raul Salzman; sister, Amalia Salzman and numerous nieces and nephews. Graciela was in the nursing career for many years and was currently working with Presbyterian Hospital. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2001, 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, 700 Yale SE, with Rabbi Joseph Black, officiating. Nieto -- Josefina G. Nieto, 72, of Fort Sumner, NM died Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe following a short illness. Josefina was born April 8, 1928 in Puerto De Luna to the home of Ezequiel Garcia and the former Victoriana Angel. She was reared and attended school at Puerto De Luna. Josefina married Flavio Nieto on February 5, 1945 in Puerto De Luna. They made their home in Fort Sumner where Flavio worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. Josefina was a devoted mother to her ten children. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, spending time in her vegetable garden. She maintained a beautiful flower garden. Josefina was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Flavio on September 20, 1985, two infant children, Estellita and Anthony, a son, Victor Nieto in 1983, and Eva Nieto Salazar on July 5, 1985. Survivors include two sons, Ernest Nieto and wife, Lourdes of Rio Rancho, Orlando Nieto and wife, Jenny of Placitas, NM; six daughters, Gloria Gebman and husband, Allen, of Albuquerque, Helen Sena and husband, Anthony of Espanola, NM, Jane Nieto Sena of Portales, NM, Frances Nieto of Clovis, NM, Martha Casaus and husband, Johnny Ray of Hobbs, NM, Eugenia Casaus and husband, George of Albuquerque; two sisters, Isabel Anaya of Albuquerque, Tircia Garcia of Puerto De Luna; six brothers, Nestor Garcia of Puerto De Luna, Luis Garcia of Willard, NM, Arsenio Garcia, Ezequiel Garcia, Isidro Garcia, and Mike Garcia all of Albuquerque. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews other relative and many friends. Rosary Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2001 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2001 from the church with burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez. Ouellette -- Dorothy T. Ouellette, 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001. She is survived by her son, Robert H. Ouellette and wife, Mary Ann of Albuquerque; grandson, Brian J. Ouellette of Columbus, IN; son Arthur B. Ouellette of Wenatchee, WA; grandson, Andrew B. Ouellette; and granddaughter, Alyica Ouellette, all of Wenatchee, WA. Mrs. Ouellette was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Herve O. Ouellette in 1991. She initially moved to Albuquerque in 1959 and returned in 1968 after her husband retired from the service. She was a devoted housewife and she touched the lives of many friends. Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 26, 2001, 11:00 a.m., at John XXIII Catholic Church, 4831 Tramway Ridge NE, with Father Arkad Biczak, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
