Berlier -- John Michael Berlier born January 23, 1984 in Albuquerque died much too soon in an auto accident June 20, 2001. John is survived by his parents, Jim and Vicki Berlier; and sister, Jennifer. He is also survived by grandparents, Oscar and Wilma Berlier of Los Chavez & Encino, NM., and Audra Lee Crossland of Fritch, TX; aunts and uncles, Eileen and Ken Goode, Shannon & Joe McCaleb, Alan and Linda Crossland and Richard and Debbie Crossland; cousins, Sheila and Dominic Aragon, Bret Crossland, Tobie Crossland and Allyson Crossland; along with numerous other family members and friends. John loved the Lord and had a special zest for life. He also had an exceptional sense of humor and with that love and humor he ministered to those around, touching the lives of people across the nation. John was a member of the class of 2002 at Estancia High School. He loved being with family and friends. John especially enjoyed basketball, music, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, the youth group at Immanuel Baptist Church, the LOGOS youth group, FFA activities and showing animals at the fair. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2001 at the Estancia High School gymnasium. Albert Hagan of Immanuel Baptist Church will conduct the services. Burial will follow at the Estancia Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Connell, Ken Goode, Joe McCaleb, Andy Otis, Victor Powell and Breck Walden. Honorary Pallbearers are Nick Mahaffey, Kyle Autry, Cole Gardner, Kris Kelley, Randall Bates, Matthew & Colvin Connell, Joey Autry, Brady & Stevie Ness, David Walden, Ben Wilson, Gene Moya and Andy Otis. Chavez -- Beatrice M. Chavez, 71, a resident of Tome, NM has gone to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 21, 2001. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. Beatrice was a well known area Avon Sales Representative working with the Avon Corporation for over thirty years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Ignacio and Isabel Moya; her mother-in-law, Beatrice B. Chavez in 2001. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Eloy of the family home in Tome; three children, Priscilla Montano and her husband, Willie of Tome, Louie and Rita Zamora and Marcelino and his wife, Mary, all of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Erminio Moya and his wife, Rita of Bosque Farms, Tony Moya and his wife, Martha, and Paul and his wife, Ramona, all of Tome; and a very special sister-in-law, Sally Baldonado of Tome. Beatrice is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. A Viewing will be held at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary following at 6:00 p.m., on Monday, June 25, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 26, with Father Jose A. Hernandez officiating at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. Interment will follow services at the Tome Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her three grandsons, Danny Montano; Edric Chavez and Louie Chavez Jr. Leonard Chavez; Edward Sedillo and Tony Padilla. Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM in charge of arrangements.

Perea -- Agnes Ross Perea went to the loving arms of our Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2001. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, she was employed as a"Harvey Girl" for 20 years at the original Alvarado Hotel, and continued her career as a waitress at the Albuquerque Hilton Hotel until she retired. She was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Lorenzo who has been patiently waiting for almost 40 years. Daughter, Irene Lermusiaux of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Thaddeus Perea and great-granddaughter, Stephanie Lynne Sanchez-Chavez also preceded her. Survivors are daughter, Florence Grace Johnson who unselfishly nurtured and cared for her these past 12 years, son, Mel"Archie" Perea and wife, Roseline, adopted son, Barry David Perea and wife, Sharon of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Joseph L. Ross and sister, Helen Ross both of Albuquerque, sister, Louise Blea of Hawthorne, CA; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren who fondly referred to her as"Nana" and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her love of music, dancing and nights under the stars at Jemez Springs were shared with her husband "Lori" who was a musician. Her love of books and reading were reflected by her knowledge and wisdom. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church and last few years attended Mass at Ascension Parish. She was a member of the Order of St. Francis. We were fortunate to have her here for 95 years and know she is resting in peace. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001 with a Rosary immediately following in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary. An additional Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2001 with Mass to follow immediately at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 9502 4th NW. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lawrence"Larry" Lermusiaux, Gordon Michael Perea, Stanley Ross Perea and Steven Espinosa. Honorary Pallbearers are Barry"Sonny" Perea, Rhiannon Chavez-Ross, Robert Anthony Sanchez, Patrick Sanchez, David Perea Jr. and Phillip Cordova. Serrano -- Alberto Santos "Serri" Serrano, age 48, passed away unexpectedly June 18 at the Guadalupe County Hospital. Albert was born November 1, 1952 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Charles H. and Angela Gerhardt Serrano. Albert attended St. Rose Catholic School and graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1970. Immediately after graduation Albert went to work with the New Mexico State Highway Department until 1988 and then went to work for the Truck Stops of America for four years. He was currently employed with the City of Santa Rosa. Albert was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church. He enjoyed playing pool, reading, working on cars and fishing. Albert is preceded in death by his nephew, Francisco Delgado and his grandparents. Survivors include his parents, Charles and Angela Serrano of Santa Rosa; his son, Jason Serrano and wife, Jeatonne of Edgewood; his daughter, Adina Chavez of Clovis; grandchildren, Erin and Shaelynn Serrano of Edgewood. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Bertille Serrano Delgado of Santa Fe, Charlene Serrano Urban of Las Vegas, NM, Darlene Bonney and husband, Leroy of Santa Rosa, Enrico Serrano and wife, Lucille of Milagro, NM, Joe Serrano and wife, Barbara of Santa Rosa, Gwendolyn Serrano of Santa Rosa, Hilario Serrano and wife, Lori of Taos, Ian John Serrano and wife, Yolanda of Santa Rosa, Jorge Serrano and wife, Michelle of Santa Rosa; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary Services will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church in Santa Rosa. Jaramillo -- Jose W. Jaramillo Sr., 81, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on June 18, 2001. Mr. Jaramillo is survived by his loving children, Raymond Lopez, Sam Lopez and wife, Lisa, Florence C de Baca and husband, Steve, Lillian Ortega, Frances Chavez and huband, Alfredo, Louie Cuevas and wife, Betty, Benny Gonzales and wife, Priscilla and Jose G. Jaramillo Jr. and wife, Yolanda. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Tony Jaramillo, Alfred Jaramillo, Manualita Jaramillo and Daisey Vigil; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Jaramillo was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U. S. Army serving in World War II. A Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Gabriella Nieto, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with final viewing at the church after 8:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be David Michelback, Larry Michelback, Gino Jaramillo, Joe Montano, Billy Baske and Fermin Gonzales.
