MARTINEZ -- Eliseo Martinez , age 72. It is with great sorrow that we mourn the passing of Eliseo L. Martinez, a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Martinez; their four children, Madlene (Maddie) Martinez, and her fiance, Sonny Vega, Linda Martinez-Scirone, and her husband, Joseph, David Martinez and his wife, Jamie, and Mariam Martinez-Ortega and her husband, Tony; grandchildren, Alisa D-Andrea and her husband, Greg, Jeremiah Aragon, Peter Lovato and his wife, Carla, LeAnne Lovato, Sarah and Kate Martinez, Melissa Gutierrez, Sally and Mary Jane Ortega; five great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Cassy, Santiago, and Zane Lee; and three sisters Emma Rivera, Frances Sanchez, and Celina Martin. A public viewing will be held on Thursday December 1, 2005 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary Chapel, a Rosary will follow. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Holy Rosary Church, Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven. CHAVEZ -- Clemente Salvador Chavez, 90, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2005. Mr. Chavez was born in Hurley, New Mexico on September 14, 1915. He is preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Chavez. Mr. Chavez is survived by his son, Leo E. Chavez; daughters, Linda E. Wright and Irma Y. Reza; grandchildren, LoRayne Y. Ortega, Rebecca M. Reza, Nicolas A. Reza, Timothy A. Chavez, Christopher A. Chavez, Meredith J. Wright, and Heather M. Wright; and great-granddaughter, Gianna Y. Reza Garza; and sister-in-law Ernestina Chavez . Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice El Paso. LUNA -- MANUELA. Mrs. Manuela Luna, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on November 6, 2005. Mrs. Luna is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Mr. Salomon Luna; three daughters, Maria Guzman and husband, David, Jolyn Murphy and husband, Patrick, Debra Marthe and husband, Mike; seven grandchildren, Daniel Guzman, Alicia Ortega, Michael Marthe, Jocelyn Marthe, Kathryn Murphy, Christian Murphy, and Isabella Murphy; Mrs. Luna was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Anthony Guzman. Mrs. Luna is also survived by her four sisters, Elva Rhodes, Edelmira Tomlinson and husband Frank, Elidia Nichols and Delma Dominguez; two brothers, Armando Dominguez and wife, Aurelia and Armin Dominguez and wife, Bernice; sisters-in-law, Terry Luna, Viola Luna, Irene Luna, Alice Luna, Amy Lucero and husband, Boni; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Luna and wife, Okie, Ernest Luna and wife, Erlinda and Napoleon Sisneros; special niece, Pablita Chavez; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Luna was also preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Catalina Dominguez; in-laws, Mariano and Francisca Luna; brothers-in-law, Marcelino Luna, Vidal Luna, Mariano Luna, George Luna; sisters-in-law, Josefa Sisneros, and Lugarda Saiz. Mrs. Luna was a member of the Catholic Church, a kindergarden teacher for 29 years for A.P.S. and worked for the state of New Mexico in District Court. A visitation will be Wednesday evening at Santuario de San Martin Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Terry Luna. Final visitation will be Thursday morning at Santuario de San Martin from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Mass of the Ressurection to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father James Vance. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Guzman, Daniel Guzman, Patrick Murphy, Mike Marthe, Michael Marthe, and Charles Luna. GUEVARA -- BELINDA R. Mrs. Belinda R. Guevara, 35, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 19, 2005. Belinda is the beloved wife to Robert Guevara, married for 12 years. She is also survived by her children, Marcus Andrew Guevara and Lorenzo Cortez Guevara; her mother, Rebecca Gurule: two brothers, Gabriel Gurule and wife, Elena, Lewis Casias and wife, Tanya; two aunts, Josephine Chavez and Flora Sanchez; one uncle, Waldo Perea; in-laws, Joe and Alice Guevara; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Belinda was preceded in death by her father, Richard Casias and her brother, Lawrence Casias. Belinda was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. SMITH -- Clara E. Smith, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1942, died Friday, July 22, 2005. She is survived by her son, Martin D. Smith and his wife, Beverly; grandchildren, Anthony D. Smith and Natalie K. Smith; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Anthony Z., Nathan Smith and Daniell Luna, all of Albuquerque; sister, Florence Lewis of Paris, TX; and former granddaughter-in-law, Alena Smith-Ortega of Albuquerque. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer D. "Jack" Smith. She was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was active in local Bridge clubs and also taught ceramics. Mr. Ortega is survived by his children, Benny Ortega and wife, Lela, Fermin Ortega and wife, Jennie, Mary Ann Chavez and husband, Paul, Benina (B.) Rochester and husband, Dee, Bernadette Kluding and husband, Mike, Martin Ortega, Irene Zamora, and Alex Ortega and wife, Lorraine; son in law, Santiago Abeyta; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and his second wife, Aurora Ortega. Mr. Ortega was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ortega; a daughter, Sylvia Abeyta; two sons, Patrick Ortega and Ernest Ortega. Mr. Ortega was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Rosendo and Eva Nieto; a sister, Mary Nieto; and two brothers, Danny and Louie Nieto. Jessie was a member of the Catholic Church.
