GILBERT -- Dolores Gilbert, 93, passed away August 1, 2010. Surviving are son, Tony and wife, Linda; granddaughter, Gail Consuelo Feller and husband, Scott of Louisville, KY; grandson, Beau Carlos Gilbert and wife, Amy of San Antonio, TX; great-grandchildren, Meredith, Clayton and Curtis Feller, Reid and Claire Gilbert. Also sisters, Susana Kocina and husband, Neil of Atlanta, GA, Atanasia Trujllo of Las Vegas, NV, Fabiola Morgans and husband, Bob of Collinsville, OK; sister-in-law, Mellie Chavez; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Arthur; parents, Julian and Eloisa Chavez; and brothers, Ted and Paul. Dolores graduated St. Mary's High School and was an organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Special thanks to Michelle Reeves and the loving, caring staff at Wellesley Care Home. Rosary is Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Memorial Mass is Monday, August 9, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. DURAN -- Carmen Duran, 79, a long time resident of Albuquerque, went home to the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2010. She is survived by her son Arthur Duran and wife Pauline; grandchildren Glen Duran and wife Lara, Andrea Jaramillo and husband Juan, Michelle Etling and husband Scott, Marcie Ross and Jennifer Duran; 12 great-grandchildren; long time companion George Valdez all of Albuquerque; sisters Lucille Lucero of Sanford, CO and Joanne Sanchez of Arroyo Seco, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Duran; her son Bonifico Max Duran; her parents Bonifico and Emily Varos; her sister Rae Pacheco. Carmen was very family oriented - family was her number one priority. She was always very happy and loved to sing and dance. The family is very grateful to George for his love, dedication and support to Carmen. Pallbearers will be Samuel Arellano, Glen Duran, Joseph Duran, Juan Jaramillo, Michael Jaramillo and Tony Lucero, The Rosary will be recited Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel. DURAN -- Anita R. Duran, age 84, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 in the family home. Born in Las Vegas, New Mexico she raised her family there, then moved to Albuquerque in 1983. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gilbert and Eugene Duran; her husband Frank Duran, Jr; her parents, Rufina and Conrado Roybal; sisters, Virginia Sanchez, Mary Sena and Marcella Roybal; father and mother in-law Francisco and Lucia Duran; in-laws, Tony and Lucy Duran, Lee and Hope Duran, Annie Duran, Ernest Duran, Pat Romero; and daughter-in-law, Gladys Jaramillo. She is survived by her son Frank Duran III; daughter Gloria Dooley and fiance Eloy Garcia; grandchildren Natasha Duran and fiance Eric Lynch, Francisco and Conrado Duran, Frank Dooley and wife Heather and Stephanie Dooley and friend Tony Leon, Yvette Quintana, Janice Padilla, and Edward Quintana; great-grandsons, Stephan and Nicholas Dooley, and Joshua Gabaldon; she is also survived by daughters-in-law, Demi Duran, Chavela Esquibel and Jace Cunningham; sisters-in-law, Josie Romero, Josie Duran; and brother-in-law Manuel Duran; numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. A rosary followed by a mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2010 at Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd, NW, Albuquerque, NM. BRIDGES -- Charles "Chuck" V. Bridges, born May 29, 1921, in Silverton, TX passed away at the age of 89, Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Veteran's Hospital in Albuquerque, NM after suffering from a long illness. He was preceded in death by parents, Garret and Lillie Bridges; two brothers, Lloyd and Myers; and sister, Myrtle. Chuck is survived by his son, Chipper Bridges and his wife, and six grandchildren of Nevada; a daughter; as well as other family and friends who loved and will miss him. He is also survived by his eldest brother, Newell "Slim" Bridges, 94, who he dearly loved and respected, and his wife Grace. Chuck will also be missed by the Duran family who were longtime friends. Private family services have taken place, and Chuck has been interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St, NW, Abq, NM 87107. 505-343-8008.
