She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Esther Esquibel and her grandson Frankie Baca. BERNSTEIN -- David Bernstein, 48, a resident of Rio Rancho for 34 years, passed away, Saturday, July 31, 2010. He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Rhoda Bernstein; children, Jim Panagakis and wife Laura Lee and children Jade and Jim Jr., Joe Panagakis and wife Amanda and children Kori and Joe Jr.; Kris Panagakis and wife Kristy and children Ashton, Triston, Kristyn, Talia and Chad; sisters, Andrea Lazo and husband Courtney, Lori Sisk and husband Brian, all of Rio Rancho; niece, Amber Lazo; nephews, Ryan Lazo, Brandon Sisk; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend, Della Knowles. DURAN -- Anita R. Duran, age 84, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 in the family home. Born in Las Vegas, New Mexico she raised her family there, then moved to Albuquerque in 1983. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gilbert and Eugene Duran; her husband Frank Duran, Jr; her parents, Rufina and Conrado Roybal; sisters, Virginia Sanchez, Mary Sena and Marcella Roybal; father and mother in-law Francisco and Lucia Duran; in-laws, Tony and Lucy Duran, Lee and Hope Duran, Annie Duran, Ernest Duran, Pat Romero; and daughter-in-law, Gladys Jaramillo. DURAN -- Carmen Duran, 79, a long time resident of Albuquerque, went home to the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2010. She is survived by her son Arthur Duran and wife Pauline; grandchildren Glen Duran and wife Lara, Andrea Jaramillo and husband Juan, Michelle Etling and husband Scott, Marcie Ross and Jennifer Duran; 12 great-grandchildren; long time companion George Valdez all of Albuquerque; sisters Lucille Lucero of Sanford, CO and Joanne Sanchez of Arroyo Seco, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Duran; her son Bonifico Max Duran; her parents Bonifico and Emily Varos; her sister Rae Pacheco. Carmen was very family oriented - family was her number one priority. She was always very happy and loved to sing and dance. The family is very grateful to George for his love, dedication and support to Carmen. FITZGIBBON -- Timothy James Fitzgibbon, born April 11, 1989, to Eva and Jim Fitzgibbon of Los Alamos, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 in Evans Mills, New York. Specialist Fitzgibbon served as an Army Cavalry Scout in the 1st Brigade, 10th Mountain Division of the United States Army, stationed at Ft. Drum, New York. He attended New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, NM, and graduated in 2008 from Los Alamos High School. He participated actively in his high school NJROTC unit, as well as being a competitive marksman and an avid outdoor sportsman. Following a long-standing ambition of serving in the U.S. Army, Timothy completed his basic training on November 20, 2008 as a member of the 5th Squadron, 15th Cavalry Scouts at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Timothy is survived by his wife, Samantha, of Evans Mills, NY; and his parents, Eva and Jim Fitzgibbon; and sister, Victoria, all of Los Alamos, NM. His grandfather, Francis Joseph Fitzgibbon, Sr., who served in the Army Air Corps in WWII, preceded him in death. Timothy loved to be with family. He cherished Mom's improvised sound effects, wrestling with Dad, and joining his sister in quality time. An amateur chef, he also enjoyed the movies and excelled at video games. Timothy's held most dear those times spent in the company of his four and two legged family members around the warmth of a camp fire. Timothy's large extended family from across the United States and overseas is extremely proud of Timothy's honorable service in the U.S. Army. He will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by family, friends, and fellow soldiers. A mass for Timothy will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 12:00 noon at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos, NM. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico. GARCIA -- Salome T. Garcia, 88, passed away July 31, 2010. He will be remembered as a kind, loving and extraordinarily strong man, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He was born in Pasamonte, NM on August 7, 1921. He married his wife, Theresa, 63 years ago on May 15, 1947. He has five children; daughters, Margaret Wells and husband John, Elizabeth "Betty" Grange and husband Gary; sons, Philip Garcia and wife Elma, Richard Garcia and wife Elizabeth "Liz", Timothy Garcia and wife Patricia; He has 14 grandchildren; Elizabeth "Lizzie" Sadlo-Tegland and husband Kirk, Frank Sadlo and wife Tracy, Chad Grange, Adam Garcia, Kacie Grange, Michael Brandon Garcia, Jennifer Detrana, Catherine Garcia, Aaron Garcia, Christopher Garcia, Brian Garcia, Nickelas Garcia, Hillary Garcia, and Hailey Garcia; He has three great-grandchildren, Legacie Sadlo, Samantha Detrana and Jaxon Sadlo; He has two sisters, Josephine Garcia and Cleo Barbara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fructuoso and Modesta Garcia; brothers, Vidal Garcia, Louis Garcia, Frank Garcia, Emilio Garcia, Fructuoso Garcia Jr.; and sister, Rafaelita Garcia. He served his country in the Navy as a radioman from 1942-1945. He retired in 1995 from the All Indian Pueblo Housing Authority. Special thanks to the staff at the New Mexico Cancer Center. They showed such care and concern and made his last few days comfortable. HARRINGTON -- Glenna Clement Harrington, 86, of Albuquerque passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010. She was born Glenna Nadine Clement in Mena, Arkansas June 7, 1924 to Don Dickinson and Ora Mena Rabb Clement. Glenna married the love of her life, William Emery Harrington October 14, 1945, a 53 year love affair until his death. Glenna and Bill delighted in dancing and traveling; Glenna often said she had danced on five continents. Glenna is survived by her sister Donna Yuronka of Mena, Arkansas; children, Jane Harrington and husband Pat McNamara of Albuquerque, Drew Harrington and her husband Don Jansen of Portland, Oregon, and Don Harrington and wife Margaret of Albuquerque; grandchildren Amy Favour, Megan Mayes, Rachael Lawrence, Elizabeth Biersgreen, Laura Harrington, and Deborah Harrington. Glenna loved New Mexico and lived in Albuquerque and Corrales for 51 years. She was active in the arts and was a docent at the Albuquerque Museum, frequently giving tours of both the museum and Old Town. She placed great value on life-long learning, earned her Master's degree in 1968, and actively pursued puzzle writing and intellectual development until the end of her life. Glenna taught 2nd grade at Montgomery Elementary, and was a school counselor at Alameda and McArthur elementary schools. Glenna had a wide social circle, and was a gracious hostess who appreciated good company, good food, and good wine. She was a member of the Unity Church of Albuquerque. HILT -- Col. George Harrison "Harry" Hilt, RET. U.S. Army, 79, a resident of Albuquerque for 27 years, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010. Harry was born in Phoenix, AZ and was a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served two tours in Vietnam. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and George W. Hilt of Phoenix; and his son-in-law, Mike A. Dwyer of Albuquerque. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Isabelle F. Hilt; daughters, Nancy A. Dwyer of Albuquerque and Pamela L. Hilt; grandchildren, Amanda L. Smith and husband Karl of Flower Mound, TX, Capt. Christopher T. Greeley of Clovis, CA, and Robert H. Dwyer of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Kathryn Elwell and Hailey Smith of Flower Mound, TX; brother-in-law, Nelson M. Funkhouser and wife Christine of Show Low, AZ; a niece, two nephews, and two cousins. Harry enjoyed a successful career in the Army Corps of Engineers, taught computer programming, and enjoyed gardening. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. KATSAROS -- Angeline "Aggeliki" Katsaros, 82, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010. She was born March 25, 1928 in Kalamata, Greece. Angeline immigrated to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1955. On February 16, 1958, she married the love of her life, Michael Lykourgos Katsaros who died in 1989. She leaves four children: Maria Cassimus and her husband Marcus, Gina Katsaros, Lou Katsaros and Donna Padilla, and George Katsaros; She had three beloved grandchildren, Chris Marcus Cassimus, Angela Christina Cassimus, and Michael Constantine Theocharidis. She was the best Yiayia in the entire world. Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Constantine Argyres; and her sisters, Stavroula Pappas and Eleni Argyres; and niece, Mary Piches. She leaves behind her brothers, Pete Argyres and his wife, Mary and George Argyres and his wife, Katy; Angeline loved her cousins, Voula Petropoulos and her husband, Stavros of Albuquerque, Dimitri and Evangelitsa Seremetis of Greece; and other cousins, nieces and nephews that she deeply loved; She leaves her beloved dog, JJ, who stood by her through her entire illness. Angeline was the owner of Monte Carlo Steakhouse and Liquor Store. Angeline loved her customers, many becoming close friends. She appeared on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives where she became known for her "Mama's Money Meatballs" and her exceptional abilities as a restraunteur. Angeline was an excellent cook and baker. She was an avid gardener. Her garden was a paradise filled with over one hundred roses, fruit trees, and vegetables. Angeline was a member of Saint George Greek Orthodox Church and was a devout Orthodox Christian. She was a fifty year member of the Philoptochos Society. She loved people and was an "Arhondisa". A Trisagion will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, 7:00 p.m., at French - University Chapel, with visitation starting at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010, 10:00 a.m., at St. George Greek Orthodox Church., 308 High Street S.E. 87102. MALDONADO -- Frank Pablo Maldonado, age 53, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 1, 2010. Frank, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend is survived by his loving wife, Edi; his father, Frank; daughters Sara, Kim, and Traci and husband Danny; sons Jeremy and Jeff; grandchildren Gage, Bella, Lily, and Zachary; brother George and partner Dennis; brother Richard, brother Chris and wife Rachel; sister Mary and husband Scott; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his brother Andrew; and his mother Susie. Frank touched many lives and will be missed. MCOSKER -- Kenneth Frank McOsker, 34, of Edgewood, NM. Born 5/9/76 went to meet the lord on July 19, 2010, after a tragic accident at Rodeo de Galiseto, which he was a three time bareback riding champion. Kenny had ridden bareback horses for 15 years, winning over 30 buckles and a saddle. Kenny was a competitor his entire life starting with baseball at Thunderbird LL, a Super Bowl champ at YAFL, a black belt in Tae Kwon-Do, a varsity baseball player selected to the all city team while attending Sandia HS. He was a state conference participant in DECA representing N.M. in Detroit, Mi. Kenny also received the Presidential Academic Award signed by President Bush. Kenny graduated from UNM with a degree in engineering. He was a proud member of SAE. Kenny was also an organ donor, giving the gift of life to five people, three in NM. Kenny is survived by his wife Tay; daughter Bailey; sons Kole and Zeb; and an unborn son, all of Edgewood, NM; his mother and father, Neddie and Martin of Albuquerque; and his forever grandparents, Walt and Priscella Newlin of Sandia Knolls NM; best friend Kevin Cox; and many aunts and uncles and cousins as well as his extended rodeo family. Kenny was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Trinidad Castor of Las Vegas, NM, Kenneth and Willie Mae McOsker of Humboldt, AZ. A memorial service will be held at the Moriarty Community Center on August 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Moriarty, NM. Service to be conducted by close friend Luis Escudero. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kenny McOsker Memorial Fund, at any Wells Fargo Bank. His epitaph will read "I'd rather have eight seconds in the saddle than a life time watching from the stands." Some of Kenny'ss ashes will grace the rodeo grounds throughout the SW. Kenny died doing what he loved and wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

MOLINE -- Kelsey L. Moline, 76, passed away on July 26, 2010, in Huntsville, AL. He was born on June 10, 1934 to Roland and Grace Moline, in Kewanee, IL. After four years service in the United States Air Force, he received his B.A. Degree from St. Ambrose College, graduating with honors as a member of the Delta Epsilon Fraternity. He received a degree in Economics from DePaul University, Chicago, IL, and his CLU Degree and Pension Certificate from American College, Bryn Mawr, PA. In Phoenix AZ, he was employed as Trust Officer/Manager for Valley National Bank, President/CEO of Marshall & Ilsley Trust Co. and President/CEO of Independent National Bank. He was employed by Sanwa Bank as VP/Trust Business Development Manager, Los Angeles, CA, and by Sunwest Bank, Albuquerque, NM, until his retirement in 2000. Board Memberships include the Arizona Kidney Foundation, Western Pension Conference, American Society of CLU, Goodwill Industries and United Way. He was an Alumnus of the 1980 Class of Valley Leadership, Phoenix AZ, and a published author of numerous Estate Planning and Trust Marketing articles. Kelsey is survived by his wife, Lynn White Moline of Somerville, AL; his sister, Betty Cerney (John), of Bettendorf, IA; daughter Karen Hall Moline, Farmington, NM; son Michael Moline, Phoenix, AZ; daughter Laura Moline Merritt ( Kevin), Scottsdale, AZ; and daughter Lisa Moline Murphy, Menifee, CA; eight grandchildren, Martin McAllister, Monica Merritt, Daniel Merritt, Jennifer Merritt, Jenna Hall, Kelly Merritt, Riley Murphy, and Matthew Merritt; one great grandson expected on or before August 11, 2010. NEVELOS -- George J. "Papa" Nevelos was born September 8, 1931 in Plainville, Ct. He settled in Albuquerque in 1962. He married Sonja Kay Thorn on October 1, 1965. George worked as a truck driver and was also an ordained minister. He was a simple, hardworking man whose unwavering faith in God saw him through many tough times in his life. There wasn't a more generous and forthright man on this earth. George left us on August 1, 2010 and was preceded in death by his loving wife; and his son Brad. He is survived by his dear friend Eva Hobbs; best buddy Mike Grimalauskso; magnificent daughter Ava Caruso, her caring husband Tim, their children Jaylee, Kayla, and Mya; granddaughter Lori; his beloved dog Tiny; and countless extended family and friends. PADILLA -- Jennie B. Padilla, beloved wife of the late Esquipula Padilla Jr., her husband of 63 years, passed away on July 31, 2010 at the age of 79. Mrs. Padilla is survived by her children, Jerry Padilla Sr., Tony Padilla, Loretta Contreras and husband, Carlos, Henry Padilla and wife, Emily, Liz Contreras and husband, Juan, Richard Padilla and wife Patricia, Anna Wharton and husband, Alan, and Esquipula Padilla III and wife, Denise; 29 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Padilla was preceded in death by her daughters, Elizabeth Padilla and Frances Chavez; and her son, Robert (Bobby) Padilla. Our family has been touched by the love Jennie surrounded us all with. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten for the love and values she embedded in our hearts and will be carried on for generations to come. RIVERA -- Eliseo Joseph Rivera, born March 7, 1929, passed July 31, 2010. He has gone home to join his first wife, Helen; parents, Condrado Rivera and Beatrice Garcia Rivera; brother, Conrad Rivera Jr; son-in-law, Eddie LeFebre; daughter-in-law, Carol Rivera; brother-in-law, Lawrence Vigil. Joseph is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Dan Rivera, of Creede, CO; Rey Rivera, and wife Pat of Centerville, UT; and Connie Maier, and husband Bill of Albuquerque; his stepchildren, Robert Vigil, and wife Rhonda of Los Alamos, Anita Boggs, and husband Gene of TN; and Barbara Montoya, of Albuquerque. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Rosalie Schultz, of Albuquerque, and Clorinda Rivera Garcia, of Rio Rancho. Joseph was a lifetime resident of NM and a three time Golden Glove Champion of NV. He was also a career cattle rancher, Twin Willow Ranch, Ocate, NM, for many years. Joseph loved to play the violin and guitar, and was an avid golfer and hunter. He was an old school craftsman, there was nothing he couldn't figure out or do. Joseph was also known as a "Recycler of many jokes". Rosary will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., Daniels Family - Wyoming Chapel. Mass will be held, Friday, August 6, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave NE, with reception to follow, a private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. ROMERO -- Gene Harold Romero passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2010 at the age of 90. Gene was born in Raton, NM. After the death of his mother, Veronis, he was reared by his beloved aunt and uncle Beatrice and Paul Romero. Gene was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Maureen Bernice Romero. He is survived by his sister, Helen Crow of Denver, CO; his devoted wife of 68 years, Minerva P. Romero; his loving children Evelyn Romero and Jon Mustonen; Gary and JoAnn Romero; Gene F. Romero; Claire Romero and David Bomse; Larry and Irma Romero; and nine grandchildren, Michele Rutledge, Misa Romero, Alex Romero, Christopher Romero, Aaron Romero, Gene L. Romero, Sofia Romero Bomse, Andrea Romero and Marisol Romero. After a three-year military duty in the South Pacific during WWII, Gene worked for the Santa Fe Railway Company and the NM Highway Department. He then worked in Mexico for the US Department of Agriculture's Aftosa Program established to eradicate hoof and mouth disease. Upon his return to the US, he was employed by Sandia Laboratories for 32 years. Everyone remembers Gene as a warm, outgoing, gregarious person who was generous with his time and talents. He was always willing to lend a hand to friends, family, or community charities in need of help. Gene was the man you could count on to pick up used clothing and supplies to distribute to the needy. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society and he was an active member of American Legion Post 69, where he served as chaplain for ten years. He was also active in the local Democratic Party and served as Precinct Chair. Rosary will be prayed on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Church, 5712 Paradise Boulevard Northwest. Celebration Mass will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of French Mortuary, 898-0300. RYDER-GUERRERO -- Patricia Ryder-Guerrero was born October 31, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away on August 1, 2010 in Centennial, Colorado. Pat was the only child of Loran and Lena Jones. Wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and long time resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by her son James P. Ryder and his wife Hing; her daughter Janis L. Winterhof and her husband Roger; she is also survived by her step children, Charles Guerrero and his wife Patricia, Mark Guerrero and Mary Connor and her husband Dan; three grandchildren, Wendy and Katherine and Chad; and three great-grandchildren Corey, Shane and Josie. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip Thomas Ryder in 1979; and her second husband Samuel J. Guerrero in 2002. A graduate of the Chicago Art Institute and daughter of two artists she was an enormously gifted artist and creative personality who painted, drew, quilted, manufactured teddy bears, raised AKC champion Golden Retrievers and Beagles, built furniture, remodeled her home, owned an antique store and won awards for her miniature creations. SEGURA -- Domingo Jesus Segura Born 12/23/1934, died 7/22/2010, Domingo was a long time resident of Albuquerque. Born in Tucumcari,he worked all around the state, and considered Watrous, NM home. Services will be this Saturday, August 7, at the Sacred Heart Church in Watrous at 11:00am. He is survived by his wife, Susan, a son, Gene and his wife Brenda, a daughter, Cindy. He also had three grandchildren and two great grandkids, one brother, several neices and nephews, and in-laws. He also had a great friend in Gary Randolph. Domingo was a man of great strength, a tremendous love of family, and a giving heart.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, James Slater; sister, Leona Baros; nephew, Richard Shelton. She was born to the late Lito and Elizabeth Baros. She leaves behind her sister, Evelyn Roseberry; two daughters, Lisa Corbin, Elaine Jaramillo; two precious grandchildren, Eric and Mark Jaramillo and fiancee Stephanie. She took the opportunity to enjoy and embrace as her own, her nieces and nephews, Buster, Dawn, Jundae, Vander and Truddie; great nephew and nieces. Her loved ones will miss her dearly. TERRY -- Elizabeth "Bettie", 88, a resident of Albuquerque died Saturday, July 31, 2010. She was born on March 16, 1922 in Baltimore, MD. Bettie was a dedicated Air Force wife. After retirement she and husband Jack loved to travel and participate in the Elder Hostal Program. Bettie loved Archeology and participated in digs with the University of New Mexico. She was a volunteer and docent with the Albuquerque Museum. She also volunteered at Lovelace Hospital on Gibson in her later years. She is survived by three daughters, Carol Gellman and husband Joe, of Albuquerque, Diane Pattison and husband John, of Albuquerque, Susan Glen and husband Bill, of Roswell; son Richard Terry and wife Melinda of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Rachel Gellman, Michael Glen and wife Shawn, Christopher Glen and wife Jennifer all of Phoenix, AZ, Camille Terry of Tucson, AZ; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Gio and Owen of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. John L. Terry; and son John Robert Terry.
