DURAN -- Carmen Duran, 79, a long time resident of Albuquerque, went home to the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2010. She is survived by her son Arthur Duran and wife Pauline; grandchildren Glen Duran and wife Lara, Andrea Jaramillo and husband Juan, Michelle Etling and husband Scott, Marcie Ross and Jennifer Duran; 12 great-grandchildren; long time companion George Valdez all of Albuquerque; sisters Lucille Lucero of Sanford, CO and Joanne Sanchez of Arroyo Seco, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Duran; her son Bonifico Max Duran; her parents Bonifico and Emily Varos; her sister Rae Pacheco. Carmen was very family oriented - family was her number one priority. She was always very happy and loved to sing and dance. The family is very grateful to George for his love, dedication and support to Carmen. Pallbearers will be Samuel Arellano, Glen Duran, Joseph Duran, Juan Jaramillo, Michael Jaramillo and Tony Lucero, The Rosary will be recited Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona SE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
