REED -- Frankie T. Reed passed away on Monday, September 12, 2005. He is survived by his son, Darrell Reed and wife, Lavon; daughter, Vone Hess and husband, Rob; his wonderful sister, Ruthan Thwaits and husband, Bill; brother, John Goodwin and wife, Lavon; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to any charity you wish to choose.

CARMIGNANI -- Susan Elaine Carmignani, age 59 passed peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital - Hospice Unit after battling with breast cancer for 121/2 years. She grew up in Pierce City, MO and earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1967. She then worked as a pharmacist in Albuquerque, NM, Tallahassee, FL, Spruce Pine, NC, and Santa Fe, NM. She concluded her 35-year career in the city where she started: Albuquerque, NM. In 1994 she earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of New Mexico. Susan was a breast cancer survivor facilitator for many years following her initial remission. Due to her desire to find a cure and her abilities as an accomplished scholar, she was a consumer reviewer for the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program for several years as well. This alone speaks volumes of her character and her regard for the welfare of those around her. She was a loving and devoted wife of George Carmignani, who still resides in Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by son, Craig Keith Carmignani, married to Tina, daughter, Suzanne Elise Ortiz, married to Michael, and son, Jon Patrick Carmignani. She has three granddaughters, Celeste Marie Carmignani, AnaLisa Miquela Ortiz, and Elena Clorinda Ortiz. She was preceded in passing by her father, Keith H. Stotts, who lived in Pierce City, MO. Her mother, Helen Stotts, currently resides in Springfield, MO. Her brother, Bill and his wife Pat Stotts also reside in Springfield, MO. Their daughter Jerri-Ann Stotts and her partner Ron Travis live in Linn Valley, KS. Susan's ashes will be present at the memorial services, to be held on Tuesday September 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel of the Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. N.E. Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital - Hospice Unit, 8300 Constitution Ave. N.E. 87110. MURPHY -- Michael "Homer" Murphy, 1949-2005, was born in Little Falls, New York on 25 June 1949. Reflecting on a full, meaningful and eventful life, he found solace and comfort as he crossed over and entered the spiritual chapter of his life on Friday, September 9, 2005 in Albuquerque after a long bout with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Bolz; daughter, Bre; son, Jonah; daughter-in-law, Jasmine; and two grandchildren, Jude and Jade. His mother, Grace Murphy and brother, Bill resides in New York, and his sister, Maryann, in Boston. Michael moved to New Mexico in 1975 and investigated, explored and mastered many diverse professions, including; house painter, tile setter, roofer, architectural ceramic artist, co-owner of Claywork in Corrales and completed installations for ME Productions of California as a muralist. Towards the end of his life he was extremely grateful to his many good friends, including; Kivie & Libby Wolf, Patrick Markwith, the Sterling family, John Williams, as well as many others who he befriended and affected during his 30 years in New Mexico. KOLKMEYER -- Donald W. Kolkmeyer passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at home with family members by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Donald was an Albuquerque resident for 55 years, moving to Albuquerque from his hometown of Rockford, Illinois. Donald had a long career in sales and owned and operated several small businesses during his lifetime. He enjoyed family dinners and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great -grandchildren. Throughout his life he was an avid gardener, Lobo basketball fan, and all around handyman. He had a knack for fixing (rigging) up almost anything. He especially loved camping and fishing in the lakes of northern New Mexico. After retirement, Don volunteered at the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau and enjoyed international travel. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Frances Kolkmeyer; and his eldest daughter, Helen Norris. He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Fraser and husband, J.D., and Mary Garcia; one son, Bill Kolkmeyer and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Meghan and Trevor Fraser, Mariana Gallegos and husband, Patrick, Jessica Lucero and husband, Christopher, and Zachary Kolkmeyer; great- grandchildren, Natalia and Jocilyn Gallegos, and Aeneas and Matias Lucero. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. SNIEZEK -- Frances B. Sniezek, 85, a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years, passed away suddenly at home Friday, September 2, 2005. Frances was born June 5, 1920 in Flagstaff, AZ. She is survived by her daughters, Mary S. Cromer and Michelle F. Beg and her husband, Gary; grandson, Jeff Beg and his girlfriend, Suzy Sanchez; Suzy's children, Nichole, Ariel, Aaron, and Christine; Nichole's daughter, Anya; granddaughter, Kari Beg and her boyfriend, Sean Schnakenberg; Sean's daughter, Mia; and great-granddaughter, Krista Rose Beg. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Bushner, her sister, Inez Gill and her husband, Bill Gill, and her grandson, Matthew Alan Beg. Frances retired from the Department of Energy in 1981. She had moved to Los Alamos in 1943 as an original member of the Manhattan Project. She was devoted to her family and to her beloved pets. Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m., at Chester T. COLOMBE -- Frances Eunice (Mershon) Colombe, age 91, passed peacefully into the next life the morning of September 6, 2005, at her daughter's home in Lake Mills, WI. She was born on May 5, 1914, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, the daughter of Fred and Constance (Waite) Mershon. She was especially proud of her French and Cherokee Indian heritage. Her parents were influential in the founding of the Oklahoma Territories, where they were schoolteachers. Frances completed high school in Sallisaw and then attended the Oklahoma College for Women. She met and married her husband, Hubert, in 1937 in Washington, D.C. Frances was a paralegal for the Federal Government most of her working life, and upon retirement enjoyed many hobbies, her favorite being china painting. She lived in Albuquerque, N.M. for 35 years, and moved to Wisconsin in 2001 to be near her daughter. The final two years of her life were some of her happiest, when she moved to Meriter Heights in downtown Madison. She made many new friends there. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert; a son, Andrew; her sisters, Lena and Robbie; and her brother, Bill. She is survived by a daughter, Denise (Roland) Frye of Lake Mills; a son, Philip (Kathy) Colombe of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 11, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at Claussen Funeral Home, 416 W. Lake St., Lake Mills, WI. The Rev. Russ Leeper of Burke Lutheran Church in Madison will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, WI.

HETH -- Gene "Blackie" Lee Heth, age 77, a resident of Jarales, NM, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2005. Blackie was born in Williamsburg, Kansas on July 20, 1928 to the late Irwin and Faye Heth. He was lovingly known as Blackie to his family and friends. After moving to Belen he worked as a purchasing clerk for AT&SF, retiring in 1990 after 42 years of outstanding service. Blackie was a founding member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Los Lunas, NM, and the founding father of People Living Through Cancer Support Group, Belen Chapter, PLTC. Blackie was a true family man and his family was everything to him. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine; his 2nd wife, Jean; and his daughter, Pamela. Blackie is survived by his loving wife, Linda of the family home in Jarales; nine children, Robert Heth and wife, Vickie of Houston, TX, Larry Heth and wife, Nancy of Waukegan, IL, Kathy Lopez and husband, Sammy of Farmington, NM, Kelly Heth and wife, Chris of Bloomfield, NM, and Donna Bauer and husband, Fred of Albuquerque, Patricia Fairchild, Lisa Jones, and Steven Jones, all of Mt. Vernon, MO, and Harold Jones Jr. and wife, Robin of Sedalia, MO. He is also survived by many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, AnnaLou Brown and husband, Ralph, of Mullinsville, KS; his loving brothers and sisters-in-law; and many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel beginning with a viewing on Friday, September 9, 2005 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Alan Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Terrace Grove Cemetery, Belen, NM.
