APODACA -- ANTHONY M. Mr. Anthony M. Apodaca, 33, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 11, 2005. Anthony is survived by his beloved mother, Margaret Gallegos and husband, Lawrence; his son, Anthony Matthew Apodaca; his sister, Renee Chavez and fiance, Randy Castillo; two brothers, Rudy Chavez and fiancee, Jeannie Peralta, and Robert Apodaca; three step-sisters, Sherri Lee Lopez, Ida Rose Lopez and Lori Ann Lopez; three nieces, Alyssa and Reyanna Chavez, and Kylei Castillo; one nephew, Randy Castillo; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Anthony was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 Stover Ave. SW, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Monsignor Antonio Gonzalez. ARGAUD -- Marie Argaud, 62, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 11, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Marie was born in Roswell, NM and was raised in Artesia, NM. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Eastern New Mexico University, and was a dedicated middle school teacher for 26 years. Marie dearly loved her family and friends. She helped fill their days with fun and laughter, and she will be deeply missed. Marie is survived by her son, Darrell Argaud; daughter, Dianna Blom and husband, Corey; grandsons, Christopher and Jacob Blom; sister, Marjorie Pool; brother, James Herbert and wife, Mary; best friend, Lana Finley; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2005 from 12:00 -1:00 p.m., and Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Marie will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven following the Service. CHAFIN -- Loretta "Jackie" Chafin, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Monday, September 12, 2005. She is survived by her son, Daylon Chafin Jr. and wife, Deborah of Las Cruces; daughter, Janice Horne and husband, Terry of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Daylene Horn and husband, Paul of Albuquerque; grandson, Shawn Horne of Albuquerque; great-grandsons, Brett Horne and Dezmond Gutierrez; great-granddaughter, Alyshia Horne, all of Albuquerque; and a large, extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daylon Chafin Sr. She was a member of Los Altos Christian Church. CLIBURN -- Randy Joe Cliburn, 49, died Friday, September 9, 2005. He was born July 27, 1956 in Mendenhall, Mississippi, a son of Erma Lee Cliburn. He married Lisa Ramos, September 20, 1975. He served his country in the US Air Force in Southeast Asia. Survivors include his wife of Albuquerque; daughter, Amanda and husband, Brandon of Corona, CA; three grandchildren, Devan, Mia, and Layla; sisters, Cindy (Lou), and Denise both of San Bernardino, CA, Angela of Macon, GA; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother. Memorial service will be conducted Friday, September 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel. COX -- Stevan Jo Cox, 58, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 25 years, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2005. He was born July 3, 1947, the son of Glenn F. and Betty N. Carver Cox in Wichita, KS. Stevan was a Special Education Teacher at Cibola High School. He was an avid Denver Broncos Fan. He loved the theater, the arts, and politics. Stevan worked for the Vortex Theater as a light specialist. He enjoyed the flights and the crew of the hot air balloon "Miss Behavin". Stevan is survived by his father, Glenn Cox and wife, Dorothy of Williams, AZ; his mother, Betty Caveny and husband, Jim of Oklahoma; brother, Kevin Cox and wife, Cheri of Arkansas City, KS; uncles, Gary Carver and wife, Linda of Oklahoma, Val Carver and wife, Joan of Missouri, and Leo Cox of Iowa; aunts, LaVeta Holmes and husband, Ray of Kansas, and Helen Cox of Kansas; nephew, Chris Waggoner and his wife, Kelli and their children, Andy, Geoffrey and Krystal Waggoner. DALE -- Cynthia (Cyndee) L. Saiz-Dale, age 45, beloved and devoted mother, daughter, sister, and granddaughter, was taken from her earthly home to live eternally with the Lord, Friday, September 2, 2005. Cyndee was a resident of New Orleans and was a victim of Hurricane Katrina. Prior to making her home in New Orleans, Cyndee was a resident of Albuquerque, and a member of the Catholic Church. She graduated from Estancia High School. She was preceded in death by a son, Lenny Dale, Jr.; her brother, Alex Saiz, Jr.; and her grandparents. Cyndee leaves her precious children whom she loved so much, Monique Fellows, Ross Gallegos, Jr., Christian Gallegos, Brittany Dale, and Logan Dale; her loving parents, Mary Louise Garica, and Alex Saiz and wife, Barbara; two sisters, Julianne Saiz-Telles and husband, Angel, and Emily Saavedra and husband, Tom; grandmother, Margaret Segura; and many other beloved family members and a host of friends. Cyndee will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. DELOACH -- Dana Engstrom DeLoach, of Cromwell CT, died September 9, 2005 after an extended battle with cancer at the age of 36. The mother of Anabella Stout DeLoach and wife of Mark Benson DeLoach, Dana grew up in Albuquerque. After receiving her bachelor's degree from Arizona State University, and her master's degree from the University of North Texas, she worked at both the Dallas Museum of Art and the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford in their education programs. Committed to education and the arts, she worked in a variety of settings in order to help make art accessible and meaningful to individuals from all age groups. In addition to her husband and daughter, she is survived by her mother, Gayle Bator and stepfather, Dan Bator (of Albuquerque); and her father, Richard Engstrom and stepmother, Pam Engstrom (of Los Lunas, NM). Dana is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends from around the country. A memorial celebration was held in Hartford, CT and another celebration will be held on Friday, September 16, 2005 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Prairie Star Restaurant on the Santa Ana Pueblo north of Albuquerque. HARRIS -- Richard Harris, age 61, died Monday, September 12, 2005 in Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Charlotte Harris of Albuquerque, NM; children, Jeffrey Harris and wife, Allison, of Phoenix, AZ, Paige Harris and companion, Anthony Larson, of Atlanta, GA, and Randy Harris and wife, Kelly, of Northern Virginia. Richard is also survived by a granddaughter, Madelyn Grace Harris of Phoenix, AZ and a brother, Robert Harris and wife, Shirley, of Alexandria, VA. Richard had worked on Capital Hill for many years and also worked for ARTBA in Washington DC. Locally in Albuquerque, he had worked for the Associated Contractors of New Mexico for eleven and a half years. MELTON -- Robert E. Sr. (Bob), age 67, died peacefully on September 12, 2005 at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit after an extended illness. He resided in Albuquerque since 1966. Bob was an attorney in private practice until the time of his death. Bob was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed hunting. He served as Secretary and General Counsel of the Amateur Trapshooting Association of America for 18 years, and was a Life Member of that association. He particularly enjoyed shooting on the squad with his son, Rob. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Flois; a son, Rob and his wife, Melissa; and a granddaughter, Jaycee; his mother, Margaret; all of Albuquerque; his sister, Ann Johnson of Riverside, CA; two brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and -nephews; and many friends. Many thanks to Shirley and Cynthia, for their compassionate care; to Dr. Robin Tuchler and his staff, and to the staff of the Hospice Unit at Kaseman for their loving support.
