Zaragoza -- Mary Zaragoza left this life peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Holy Saturday, April 11, 1998. She was 91 years old, born in Durango, Mexico. She joined her great-nephews, Steven C. Anderson and Robert J. Torres; her parents, Rosa and Lino Zaragoza; sisters, Maria Flores, Emilia Rodriquez; brothers, Antonio and Edwardo Zaragoza. She was a very special and caring Aunt. She is survived by her niece, Isabel Torres; great-nephew, Michael Anderson; great-niece-in-law, Angel Torres; great-great-nephews, Gino and Robert Torres; great-great-niece, Angela Torres and special great-great-great-nephew, Gabriel Robert Torres; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 1998 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Place S.E., where mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Gabaldon -- Ernesto"Ernie" Gabaldon, 71, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, April 9, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Helen J. Gabaldon of Albuquerque; sons, Raymond E. Gabaldon and wife, Lori of Oceano, CA and Steven M. Gabaldon and wife, Denise of Phoenix, AZ; sisers, Antonia M. Sandoval and Roberta Myers and husband, Henry, all of Albuquerque; and brother, Henry Gabaldon and wife, Bernice of Albuquerque. Mr. Gabaldon was past president of National Letter Carriers Association in Albuquerque and he was past president of Rural Letter Carriers Association. He was a member of American Legion, Post 99, the Elk's Lodge, and he was past Post Commander of American Legion, Post 72. Mr. Gabaldon retired after 37 years with the US Postal Service in 1985 and was a bailiff with the State 2nd Judicial District Court. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Deacon Bob Lewis reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 9:00 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Fr. Antonio Mondragon, Celebrant. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frederick Garcia, Henry Myers, Rick Starkey, Andrew Bencomo, Henry Gabaldon Jr. and Patrick Lucero. Peterson -- Norma H. Brosseau Peterson, 74, a resident of Albuquerque for 46 years, died Monday, April 6, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Peterson of the family home; sons, Eric J. Peterson and wife, Marlen and children, Isaac and Erica Lee of Rio Rancho, Steven Doerschlag and wife, Sandra and children, Kelly and Casey of Eaton, CO; daughter, Delmarie Cleland and husband, Roy and children, Julie and Kurt of Kansas City, KS; and a brother, Mahlon Brosseau and wife, Rose of Freeland, WA. Legendre -- Clarence E. LeGendre, 76, died March 28, 1998. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sofie LeGendre of Albuquerque; daughters, Gisela Noddin and husband, Chuck of New Hampshire, Renate Magee of New Hampshire, and Regina Circeo and husband, Bob of Albuquerque; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. Mr. LeGendre served over 30 years in the U.S. Air Force and he served during World War II and in Vietnam, before retiring in 1973 as a Master Sargent. He received the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 3:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery with Rev. Robert Circeo officiating. Pallbearers will be Steven Circeo, Michael Circeo, Kenneth Circeo, and Richard Circeo. Romero -- Mrs. Vangie"E.V." A. Gilliam-Romero, 51, went home to be with our Lord on March 29, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer. Vangie was the beloved wife of 1 1/2 years to Robert A. Romero. She is also survived by her loving sons, Joseph A. Segura and fiancee, Serena Beckett and Ray Segura and wife, Lilly; her parents, George and Andrea Gilliam Sr.; sisters, Cathy Sanchez and husband, Levi, Dorothy Sanchez and husband, Steven, Carmen Contreras and husband, Elfego and Ramona Aragon and husband, Richard; three brothers, George Gilliam Jr., John Gilliam and wife, Laura and Fred Gilliam and wife, Laura; one beautiful and special granddaughter, Devin Marie Segura and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Vangie was member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW.
