Garcia -- Eufemia Garcia, 91, a resident of La Jara, NM, passed away Tuesday morning. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Garcia; one daughter, Lugarda (Lura) Sosa; two brothers, Eustacio Duran, Tomas Duran; two sisters, Martha Montoya and Trini Velasquez. She is survived by two daughters, Carlota Eichwald of Cuba, Rafelita Chacon and husband, Pete of Albuquerque; three sons, Donald Garcia and wife, Mary of Albuquerque, Joe Garcia and wife, Pita of Los Lunas and Danny Garcia and wife, Rita of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Also surviving are three brothers, Antonio Duran of La Jara, Frank Duran and wife, Eleanor of Cuba, and Robert Taylor and wife, Rafelita of La Jara; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning, 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba. Interment will follow at Santo Nino Catholic Cemetery in La Jara. Casket bearers will be Art Eichwald, George Eichwald, Kenneth Eichwald, Raymond Eichwald, C. Sam Garcia and Daniel Garcia. Honorary bearers are Daryl Fluke, Allen Colwell, Pablito Sosa, Gilbert Duran, Cindy Garcia, Steve Garcia, and Valdo Garcia. Hauser -- Lois Pearl Hubbard Hauser, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Wednesday, September 1, 1999 in her home with her family around her. Lois was born November 22, 1922 in Kansas to Winn and Laura Hubbard. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dean A. Hauser; daughter, Peggy Jeanne Hauser; son, H.D."Pat" Hauser; and daughter, Dianne K. Hauser, all of her seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Hubbard of Fargo, ND; and sister, Zelma Brand of Ketchikan, AK. Mrs. Hauser was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was a lifemaster in duplicate bridge. She competed and won in many state and national bridge tournaments. Her wit, wisdom and happiness shed joy to us and those who knew her. Cryptside services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Babbitt -- Frances H. Babbitt, 61, of Mountain Shadow Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 1999 at her home. Frances was born November 28, 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Fred J. St. Amour and Olga M. Maurice St. Amour. She was raised in Racine, Wisconsin. She graduated from St. Catherine's Catholic High School and attended the University of Wisconsin for 1 1/2 years. She married Lon Babbitt and while her husband was in medical school they lived in Madison, Wisconsin, settling in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1968. They moved to Carlsbad in 1984. In 1991, she earned her BS degree from College of the Southwest, and went into Christian Counseling, working with Life Management at Guadalupe Medical Center and with Laurie Reif. She was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, on the Board of Directors of Sun Country Amateur Golf Association, and was President of the Riverside Country Club Women's Golf Association, as well as being on the Country Club Board of Directors. She was an avid golfer and won awards in Senior Olympics and Carlsbad City championships. Her parents; and a brother, David St. Amour preceded her in death. She is survived by Dr. Lon Babbitt of Carlsbad, NM; son, Stephen Babbitt and wife, Tammie of San Diego, CA; daughters, Jennifer Babbitt of Napa, CA, Theresa Babbitt-Kline and husband, Donald of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mary Babbitt of Carlsbad, Kathleen Marshall and husband, James of Salt Lake City, UT, Rachel Babbitt of Fort Collins, CO; sisters, Anne Stelzner and husband, Harry of Waterford, WS and Jane Lees and husband, Bob of Bagley, WS; and grandchildren, Katie Jo Boaz, David Boaz, Adrienne Kline, Jocelyn Kline and Sarah Frances Marshall. Frances will lie in state Friday, September 2, 1999, 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 4, 1999, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel. A Vigil will be Friday, September 3, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 4, 1999, 3:00 p.m., at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Father Noel Kramer officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Interment of cremains will be Thursday, September 9, 1999, 9:00 a.m., at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Bradley -- Charles A."Jack" Bradley, 84, a resident of New Mexico since 1938 and of Albuquerque since 1943, died Monday, August 30, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Francis M. Bradley of Albuquerque; sons, Charlie E. Bradley of Bloomfield and David L. Bradley and wife, Jackie of Albuquerque; daughters, Roselyn M. Ruona and husband, William of L'Anse, MI, Maggie Sarber and husband, Frank of Ketchikan, AK; sons, Donald L. Bradley and wife, Patricia, Paul H. Bradley and wife, Juanita, Omar C. Bradley and wife, Doris and Bob Mathes and wife, Sue, all of Albuquerque; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick J. Bradley; parents, Dave and Sallie Bradley; sisters and brothers, Edna Cherokee Amos, Ed Bradley, Delila B. Holson and Raymond Bradley. Jack was born on May 29, 1915 in Sequoyah County, OK as a birthrite member of the Cherokee Nation. In 1935, after graduating from the Haskell Institute, he began working in Oklahoma with the C.C. Camps, as part of the W.P.A. until 1938. Jack then began working with the Jicarilla Agency, Bureau of Indian Affairs, in Dulce, NM and after moving to Albuquerque, worked with the United Pueblo Agency, retiring in 1972. He was instrumental in helping to work with flood control in the North Valley before A.M.A.F.C.A. was established. Jack was a founding member and first president of the Albuquerque Archaeological Society and a founding member of Cherokees of New Mexico. He was also a member and former president of the Haskell Club Alumni Association in Albuquerque and had affiliated memberships in Arizona and Oklahoma. Jack was active with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, who loved to fish and hunt. Jack was also a member of the Harwood United Methodist Church. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Demaret -- Roberta D. Demaret, 73, an Albuquerque resident since 1949, died Monday, August 30, 1999. Mrs. Demaret was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the New Mexico Retired Educators Association, Albuquerque Public Schools Science Teacher Association and the Stanford University Alumni Association. She received her graduate degree from the University of New Mexico. Mrs. Demaret was a former teacher at West Mesa High School. She is survived by a daughter, Beryl Smith and husband, William of Valdez, AK; son, Robert D. Demaret of Livermore, CA; grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Demaret, David R. Demaret and Melissa M. Demaret, all of Livermore, CA, Donald H. Smith and wife, Carrie, D. Scott Smith, James R. Smith and Allison D. Smith, all of Alaska; great-grandchildren, Chase Smith, Tiffeny Smith, Jerren Smith and Mandy Sky Smith, all of Alaska. Dugan -- Michael and Marta DuGan, 58 and 51, residents of Moriarty, NM passed away Monday August 30, 1999 near Fort Sumner, New Mexico. Michael was born May 22, 1941 to Marquis and Hattie (Conant) DuGan in Boone, Iowa. Marta was born January 10, 1947 to Cayetano and Simona (Trujillo) Chavez in Vaughn, NM. They were married November 11, 1969 in Kansas City, MO. Mr. DuGan is survived by his daughters, Victoria DuGan of Moriarty, NM, Cayetana Thompson of Albuquerque, NM, Michelle DuGan of AZ and Dena DuGan of CA; his sons, Marquis and his wife, Jennifer DuGan of Moriarty, NM and Guy DuGan of Moriarty, NM. Also surviving him are his brother and sister, Thomas"Kip" DuGan and Carolyn Rew. Mrs. DuGan is survived by her daughters, Victoria DuGan and Cayetana Thompson and her sons, Marquis and Guy DuGan; also surviving are her brothers, Cayetano Chavez, Jr. and wife, Julie of Moriarty, NM, Antonio N. Chavez, and wife, Mary Louise of Moriarty, NM, Joe M. Chavez and wife, Jane, Albert Chavez and wife, Clare Belle, Carlos Chavez and wife, Leslie; her sisters, Frances Cuellar and husband, Mario, Maria Thompson and husband, Dave, Dee Carson and husband, Wade, Elena Chavez and husband, Donald; and their three grandchildren, Daniel and Isaiah Thompson and Quintin DuGan. The rosaries will be recited for Michael and Marta Wednesday and Thursday September 1, 2, 1999 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. Mass will be celebrated Friday September 3, 1999 10:00 a.m. also at the Catholic Church with Father Tony officiating. Greenwoll -- Clara Louise Merchant Greenwoll, 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1986, passed away Sunday, August 29, 1999. She is survived by her sons, James I. Greenwoll and Donald A. Greenwoll and wife, Helen, all of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Laura A. Wyse and Joann L. Greenwoll, both of Albuquerque, and Nancy K. Chandler and husband, Michael of Aurora, CO; great-grandchildren, Tracey Wyse, Jenine Wyse, and Dean Wyse, all of Albuquerque. Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ivan A. Greenwoll in 1986. She was a homemaker, caregiver, and a longtime volunteer of the Methodist Church in Chicago and in Albuquerque.
