Eufemia Garcia, 91, a resident of La Jara, NM, passed away Tuesday morning. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Garcia; one daughter, Lugarda (Lura) Sosa; two brothers, Eustacio Duran, Tomas Duran; two sisters, Martha Montoya and Trini Velasquez. She is survived by two daughters, Carlota Eichwald of Cuba, Rafelita Chacon and husband, Pete of Albuquerque; three sons, Donald Garcia and wife, Mary of Albuquerque, Joe Garcia and wife, Pita of Los Lunas and Danny Garcia and wife, Rita of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Also surviving are three brothers, Antonio Duran of La Jara, Frank Duran and wife, Eleanor of Cuba, and Robert Taylor and wife, Rafelita of La Jara; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning, 11:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba. Interment will follow at Santo Nino Catholic Cemetery in La Jara. Casket bearers will be Art Eichwald, George Eichwald, Kenneth Eichwald, Raymond Eichwald, C. Sam Garcia and Daniel Garcia. Honorary bearers are Daryl Fluke, Allen Colwell, Pablito Sosa, Gilbert Duran, Cindy Garcia, Steve Garcia, and Valdo Garcia. Services are under the direction and care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover SW, 243-5222.
