Roberta D. Demaret, 73, an Albuquerque resident since 1949, died Monday, August 30, 1999. Mrs. Demaret was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the New Mexico Retired Educators Association, Albuquerque Public Schools Science Teacher Association and the Stanford University Alumni Association. She received her graduate degree from the University of New Mexico. Mrs. Demaret was a former teacher at West Mesa High School. She is survived by a daughter, Beryl Smith and husband, William of Valdez, AK; son, Robert D. Demaret of Livermore, CA; grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Demaret, David R. Demaret and Melissa M. Demaret, all of Livermore, CA, Donald H. Smith and wife, Carrie, D. Scott Smith, James R. Smith and Allison D. Smith, all of Alaska; great-grandchildren, Chase Smith, Tiffeny Smith, Jerren Smith and Mandy Sky Smith, all of Alaska. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial service will be held Sunday, September 5, 1999, at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain Rd. NE.
