HERRERA -- Jose Rosendo Herrera, 17, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on March 29, 2004. Jose is the beloved son to Gloria Herrera and husband, Manuel Munoz. Jose is also survived by one sister, Gloria Najar and fiance, Kevin Baca; one brother, Chris Herrera and girlfriend, Gaila Selgado; his grandparents, Joe and Helen Hererra, two nieces, Aleaha Baca and LunaMonique Herrera; his girlfriend, Shamaine Segovia and daughter, Erica; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jose was a member of the Catholic Church and a Senior at West Mesa High School. A visitation for Jose will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Mark Sutton. A final visitation will be Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be, Chris Herrera, Martin Mondragon, Randy Vigil, Ben Rios, Porfie Maldonado, Lorenzo Teupel, Tony Fernandez and Josh Griego. MARLITT -- Dorothy G. Marlitt, born in Long Beach, CA and long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2004. She was preceded in death in 1974 by her husband, Bob, a retired naval officer. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Marlene Elkins and husband, Neil, of St. George, UT; son, Douglas Marlitt and wife, Deanna, of San Martin, CA; and granddaughter Rebecca Marlitt of Santa Clara, CA. As a Navy wife, Dorothy raised her family in many worldwide locals. She also worked in these many locations in jobs that included various secretarial responsibilities and nursing assistant duties. In Albuquerque, Dorothy volunteered her time at many organizations. For over 11 years she volunteered at Catholic Social Services as a driver and coordinator. She also sewed many items of children's clothing and tote bags which she donated to charity. Dorothy also volunteered at Meals on Wheels and tutored children under the Oasis Program and adults through TVI. Dorothy enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing Bridge with her friends in Albuquerque. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 3, 11:00 am, at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE with Pastor Lemuel Boyles officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory be made to charities of choice. Interment will take place in Long Beach, CA next to her husband. MARTINEZ -- Theresa M. "Tere" Martinez, age 94, passed away at her home in Tucumcari, NM on Tuesday, March 30, 2004. Theresa Martinez was born November 3, 1909 at San Rafael (Montoya) in the Territory of New Mexico. She had made her home in Tucumcari, NM since 1958. She was a member of the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari. She was active in the Sociedad de Nuestra Senora and the Del Carmen Parroquia De Tucumcari (Carmalita Society). Surviving Theresa Martinez is her daughter, Dolores Marsh of Logan, NM; sons,, Gilbert Martinez and Rosendo and wife, Darlene all of Tucumcari, NM., Charles (Binky) Martinez, and wife, Jane of Albuquerque and Robert Martinez and wife, Delfie of Las Vegas, NM; brother, Tony Ortega and wife, Hortencia of Tucumcari; two sisters, Adelina Ortega and husband, Clemente, Romona Gonzales and husband, Martin all of Albuquerque. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cirilio Martinez; one daughter, Ida Martinez; two sons, William Martinez and Cirilio Martinez Jr. Rosary will be recited on Friday evening in the St. Anne's Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Anne's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Leo Padget as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Montoya, NM. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.

GURULE -- Martin Isaac Gurule. The angels in God's Heavenly Garden grew lonely and called Martin to join them. Martin was born just four months ago, on November 10, 2003, to his loving parents Martin Gabriel Gurule and Maydel Wood. Martin is also survived by two brothers, Gabriel and Isaiah; paternal grandmother, Frances Valdez; maternal grandmother, Kyle Wood; great-grandparents, Mary L. Gurule, William Keiser, Shirley Keiser; special aunts and uncle, Tonya King and Michelle Marr, Cheryl Gurule, Dominic Gurule; and numerous other beloved family members. Martin Isaac will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, in Bernalillo; where a rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning followed by Mass of the Angels at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Placitas Catholic Cemetery. ZAMORA -- Alex Zamora, 63, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, March 21, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Regina Zamora of Abq.; daughters, Rose Olguin, Diane Zamora and husband, Gabriel Becerra, Annette Aragon and husband, Francisco, Jr., Angeline Chavez and husband, Paul and Amanda Perea; sons, Albert Olguin, Jr. and wife, Mary Helen, Nick Olguin and Alex Zamora, Jr.; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Zamora and wife, Martha, Anastacio Zamora and wife, Yvonne, all of Abq., Perfecto Zamora and wife, Liz of CA and Frank Zamora and wife, Lucy of Abq.; sisters, Mary Maldonado, Rose Estrada and husband, Frank and Felicita Gutierrez and husband, Fidencio Gutierrez, all of CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and family who loved Alex very much. KOMEN -- Peter J. Komen, Jr., beloved husband of Rhoda P. Komen,, married 63 years, died Saturday, March 20, 2004. Peter and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1954, when Pete went to work at Sandia National Laboratories as an engineer. He worked at Sandia for over 28 years. He is survived by his wife, Rhoda; children, Diane E. Martin, Mary J. Komen, Peter J. Komen III, Janet L. East and Brian W. Komen; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his dog, Bonnie. GUTIERREZ -- Inez Trujillo Gutierrez, age 90, died on Monday March 22, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Village in Socorro, NM. She was born June 25, 1913 to Pablo and Eduvijen (Lopez) Trujillo in Aragon, NM. She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Gutierrez in 1993. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Jennings and husband, Gary of Yakima, WA; grandchildren: Joshua, Megan and Phillip, all of Yakima, WA; her brother, Jose L. Trujillo of Cruzville, NM; and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to all the caregivers of Helping Hands, the nurses and staff of Socorro General Hospital and Good Samaritan Village who provided her with treatment and loving care and tireless dedication. Also a very special thanks to her caring friends at Vista Montano apartments and her nieces, Alicia, Adela, Margie and Sue whom she considered her guardian angels. A very special thanks to her nephew and Godson, Pat Gutierrez who was constantly at her side and whom she considered as her son. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church. BEAUDET -- Lorna Catherine (Foster) Beaudet, daughter of Thomas Henry Foster and Florence Rose Laydon Foster of San Francisco, CA, born 12/10/1931 and a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, became our Angel on 3/18/04. She was the loving wife of James A. Beaudet for 53 wonderful years. She was Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, friend, and spiritual advisor to Linda Evans; Larry Evans; Jennifer, Erika and James Elwell; James II and Sandra Beaudet; James III, Jami and Zachary Beaudet; Rachel, Scott and Morgan Riley Smith; Heather, Cole, and Abigail Magdaleno, Lorna and Paul Morrow; Chris and daughter, Danielle Beaudet; Matthew and Shelly Beaudet; Andrew, Kathy, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Meghan, and Erin Beaudet; Margaret and Michael Johnson; and Miss Daisy. Lorna is survived by her loving sisters, Jane Duane, Edna Martin, Florence Gillespie, her younger twin sister Dolores Sargent, Janet Casey; and brother, Paul Foster.
