TRUJILLO -- Jerome G. Trujillo, 70, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Friday, September 25, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Elva; two daughters, Sherri Lynn Hall and her husband Larry and Stephanie Lovato and her husband Jude; two grandsons, Joshua Charles and Logan Alexander Hall; sister, Andrea Trujillo and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Jerome graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1957. He graduated from the University Of New Mexico College Of Pharmacy in 1962. Jerome proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was a pharmacist at Madigan General Hospital in Tacoma, WA. Following his Army service he returned to Albuquerque and went to work for Victor's Pharmacy. In 1966 he went to work for Walgreen's Pharmacy, retiring in 1999 as the District Pharmacy Manager. He continued to be involved in the College of Pharmacy at UNM and he belonged to many professional organizations. In his retirement years he pursued his hobby of pencil drawing by taking classes through UNM Continuing Education. Jerome was an avid supporter of Men's and Women's Lobo Basketball. He was a very caring and loving person, especially with his grandsons. He will be remembered as a generous and supportive man by all who knew him, always lending a hand to those in need. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas location. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 11401 Indian School Rd NE (Indian School between Morris & Juan Tabo) Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. REMILLARD -- Sergeant First Class David Charles Remillard, 39, a resident of Colorado Springs, CO., formerly of Laguna, NM passed away on September 21, 2009. Mr. Remillard is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Tina Remillard; his daughters, Shelby Remillard, and Brittany Remillard; his mother, Ruth Remillard; his sisters, Virginia Carr and family and Charlene Ramirez and family; foster father, Donald Gonzales; parents in-law, Marvin and Molly Erice; brothers-in-law, Marvin Erice II and family and Wayne Erice and family; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mr. Remillard was preceded in death by his father, Gabriel Remillard; and his foster mother, Jacqueline Gonzales. David was a strong man of Faith who loved the Lord and encouraged others to do the same. David was an active duty Army soldier serving for 21 years. A Wake service will be held Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at his mother's home in Seama, NM. A Funeral Service will be Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Laguna Acoma Baptist Indian Mission Church, 1564 State Rd. 124, Cubero, NM, Brother Franklin Williams, and Brother Byron Sarracino, presiding. Full Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army. Private burial will take place at a later date. Pallbearers will be servicemen of the United States Army. WALTERS -- Beatrice Lucille Walters, 89, was born March 18, 1920 in Prosper, Texas. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She went to be with the Lord, September 19, 2009, in Yakima, Wa. As a child, she moved to New Mexico with her family; graduating from Albuquerque High School in 1938. She worked for Fred Harvey as a "Harvey Girl" in Albuquerque; then during WW II as a "Rosie the Riveter" in Dallas. She married John Walters November 11, 1943, in Dallas, Texas; they moved to New Mexico shortly thereafter. In 1970, she and her husband moved to Reserve, New Mexico, where she lived until December 2001, when she came to Washington, to live with her daughter, Eva and husband Charles Bonner. She loved life and having fun. She often was heard humming, whistling and singing hymns. Her favorite hymn was "Amazing Grace." Over the years, Beatrice was a Girl Scout leader; stamp and post card collector and a rock hound. As an avid reader, she has read the dictionary completely through as well as encyclopedias. She loved crosswords and anagrams, working them for hours. She once anagrammed a friends name and found over 300 words. Bea loved camping, hunting and traveling. Living in Texas and New Mexico, Bea loved to attend rodeos, festivals, fairs etc. and also looked forward to Christmas, birthdays and party's, having lot of fun. Beatrice received the Lord as her Savior in 1932 and was baptized in 1953, at the Riverside Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Eva (Walters) Bonner, and Rev. Charles Bonner of Yakima, Wa. and son John Walters of Elephant Butte, New Mexico. One brother, J.B. Norris of McKinney, Texas; Five sisters; Ruby Freeman of Sacramento, Ca.; Dorothy Henderson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Nellie Baker , Alamogordo, New Mexico; Jeannie Roberts, Keller, Texas; Joann Howard, of McKinney, Texas. Four grandchildren; Malissa (Bonner) Chapin of Oshkosh, Wi.; Rebekah (Bonner) Kotlar of San Leandro, Ca.; Rachel Bonner of Yakima, Wa. and John Bonner of Milwaukee, Wi. Two great-grandchildren; P.J. Chapin, Oshkosh, Wi; and Hailey Bonner of Yakima, Wa. and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John Thomas Walters; a sister Berniece; and her parents, A.B. Norris and Ella (Justice) Norris. Viewing will be Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m. at Langevin - Mussetter Funeral Home, 1010 W. Yakima, Ave, Yakima, Wa. Funeral services will be Monday, September 28, 2009 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Wenas Cemetery, Selah, Wa. Dr. Charles Bonner, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Selah, Wa. MINTEER -- Ruth Jean Minteer, 82, died September 21, 2009. Ruth was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania March 27, 1927 and was a resident of Bosque Farms since 1981. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Minteer Sr.; granddaughter Dawn Gill; and grandson Michael Streets. Ruth is survived by her daughters Lana Minteer of Sharon PA, Linda Poteet and her husband Buck Poteet of Sparks OK, Bonnie Yesko and her husband David Yesko of Bosque Farms; and Son Charles F. Minteer and wife Ella of Las Cruces NM; Grandchildren Chris and Norman Stull of Pennsylvania, Charlene Haase of Mesa AZ, Melissa Zebley of Lompoc, CA, Burt Foor of Sparks, OK, Amber Gill of Pennsylvania, Alicia Akhteebo of Yuma, Az, Kendra Riley of SLC, UT and Craig Streets of Florida, granddaughter Barb Miller and husband Tim Miller of Los Lunas, NM. GARCIA -- Homer Garcia, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret), 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960 passed away September 17, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia of the family home. He was preceded in death by his son, David Garcia Lt. Col.USMC (Ret). He is survived by daughter-in-law Victoria Garcia, wife of David, Val Rico, Fl; sons Charles Garcia of Raleigh, John and wife Connie of Virginia Beach, and Richard and wife Bridget of Albuquerque; daughters Barbara and husband Pier Carrara of Albuquerque, Christine Garcia of University Park, Md., and Anne Ramirez of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren Amy Driscoll of Albuquerque, Aaron Garcia of Charlotte, NC; David A. Garcia of Val Rico, FL; Matthew Garcia of Raleigh, NC; Brianna and Dominique Garcia of Albuquerque; great grandchildren Noah and Simon Driscoll. A World War II veteran, Homer was a past president and active member of the New Mexico Chapter of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. He was a graduate of the University of Albuquerque with a degree in accounting. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish. Rosary will be recited September 23 at 8:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of Mass of Christian burial at 8:30 at Annunciation with Father Bennett Voorhies celebrant. Reception follows at Magdalene Hall. Interment will be September 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
