Hills -- Robert G. Hills, 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1934, passed away Thursday, March 12, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Faye Hills (Lewis) of Albuquerque; daughters, Linda F. Massey and husband, James of Albuquerque, and Catherine L. Pires and husband, Richard of Phoenix, AZ; son, Robert G. Hills and wife, Ann of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Christman of Casper, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patsy Marie Hills; two brothers; and three sisters. Bob was born in Raton, NM on September 3, 1921 to George and Esther (Hanson) Hills. He was a veteran of WWII serving in Germany. He was owner and operator of B & D Mfg. Co. from 1951 to 1972. Bob was noted for his active participation in AA for 42 years. He served as secretary then delegate for the State of New Mexico in AA. Bob was a member of the Church of Christ. Graveside services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Dr. Harvey Porter officiating. Pallbearers will be Ronald Lippold, Todd Candelaria, Kevin Pires, Damon Tinley, Thomas R. Lippert and Eric Shreve. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Lippert, Jack Massey, Barry Waddleton and T.K. Connor. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Potts -- Barbara Potts, beloved wife of the late Frank Potts, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 1998 at the age of 62. Her life was a shining example of faith in Jesus Christ. She had retired after 30 years of service at Sandia National Laboratories and she was devoted to God and to her family. Mrs. Potts was survived by her mother, Helen Carl of Albuquerque; daughter, Debbie Harrington and husband, Tom; two grandchildren, Tom and Christy Harrington of Albuquerque; brothers, Lewis"Sonny" Carl and wife, Lora Mae of Fairborn, OH, Clifford Carl and wife, Barbara of Espanola, and Joe Carl of Albuquerque; sisters, Martha Thatcher and husband, Francis of Los Lunas, Sandy Peacock of Albuqerque, and Judy Fraker and husband, Bob of Willis, TX; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Lemuel Boyles and Pastor Galen M. Woodward officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Galaviz -- Robert Galaviz, 57, of Wichita, KS formerly of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, March 6,1998. Robert worked for Superior Building Maintenance. He is survived by wife, Mary, of the home; son, Leopoldo R., Jr of Wichita, KS; daughter, Deborah Kroulik of Bentley, KS; two brothers, Frank Montoya of Bellflower, CA, Orlando Galaviz of CA; four sisters, Grace of Norwalk, CA, Margie Delemar of Bellflower, CA, Rose Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, Patricia of Iowa; five grandchildren. Rosary will be held Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at 7:00 p.m., Hillside Funeral Home West, Wichita, KS. Martinez -- Priscilla O. Martinez, 67, passed away Saturday, March 7, 1998 at her home in Magdalena, NM. She was born February 11, 1931 to Antonio and Teofila (Valenzuela) Otero in Magdalena, NM. She was owner of the Ponderosa Cafe in Magdalena. She is preceded in death by her husband, Quirino Martinez Jr.; brother, Tony Otero; and sisters, Frances Montoya and Mary Serna. She is survived by his sons, Ray, Frankie, Nestor and Jeremy Martinez, all of Magdalena, NM; daughters, Rosemary Wilburn, Priscilla Lower and Dolores Martinez, all of Magdalena, NM; daughters, Rosemary Wilburn, Priscilla Lower and Dolores Martinez, all of Magdalena, NM; brother, Elvires Otero of Magdalena, NM; sister, Bennie O. Zamora of Magdalena, NM; grandchildren, Manual Martinez, Ruben Martinez, Dora Julian, Rosemary Wilburn, Raul Lower, Priscilla Lower, Anthony Lower, Daniel Martinez, Brian Martinez, Patrick Martinez and Andrea Martinez; great-grandchildren, Dylen Julian, Tyler Julian, Matthew Martinez and April Martinez; and other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, March 10, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Magdalena, NM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 11, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene with Father Jacob Joerger, OP as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Magdalena Cemetery. Pallbearers are, Nestor Martinez, Frank Martinez, Manual Martinez, Jeremy Martinez, Robert Zamora and Jessie Wilburn. Honorary Pallbearers are, Pat Lewis, Ben Otero, Jerry Nye, Danny Otero, Edward Martinez, Leo Martinez, Armando Martinez, Herman Gutierrez, Damacio Gutierrez, Bob Chamberlain, Matthew Zamora, Michael Zamora, Jimmy Latasa, Richard Torres, David Gardo, Joe Hernandez, and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and including all her very special friends.
