BRAND -- Bernadette Gunn Brand, 68, the loving mother of five children, passed away on June 15, 2009 after a long illness. She is survived by two daughters, Darleen Kosick and Lisa Brand; three sons, Tom Kosick, Scott Brand, and Michael Brand, all of Albuquerque, NM. She is also survived by her twin sister Eileen Stewart of Albuquerque, NM; her sister, Dorothy O'Sullivan of New Jersey; her brother Walter Gunn of North Carolina; seven grandchildren; along with many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brand; her brother, Hugh S. Gunn, Jr.; along with her mother and father. TREADWELL -- Jack R. Treadwell, 81, passed on June 13, 2009. Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years Carolyn; son Rick Treadwell and wife Debbie, daughter Marcia Treadwell; grandson Derek and wife Lucilla; brother Tom Treadwell and wife Gwen; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Loula Maude. Jack was an active member of First United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir, was a member of the Two Som Sunday School Class, and the Emmaus Community. He worked for The Nabisco Corporation as an Operations Manager before retiring after 40 years. He participated in the Nabisco Retirees Reunion Group and served our country in the US Army. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., June 19, 2009 at First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead Ave. NE, Albuquerque, N.M., 87102. MORRIS -- Patricia Ruth Morris (Patti) was born in Albuquerque on June 24, 1953. She graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1971 and went on to become a respiratory therapist. She married and had three children. Patti, an artist, enjoyed painting, drawing and playing classical guitar. She loved life, people and always had a smile on her face. She was preceded in death by her parents Morgan and Catherine Morris; brothers Tom and Michael Morris; sister Kay Curcio. She is survived by her husband Gil Moreno; her son Brian and his wife Sylvia, Kevin and Meghan. Her grandchildren Brian II, Reagan and Donovan. Her sisters Peggy Morris-Gonzalez and Debbie Valencia. Her uncle Gordon Eden; nieces Anna and Theresa Curcio and Tiffany Gutierrez. Rosary will be held Monday, June 15, 2009 at 6:30 p.m., Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at San Clemente in Los Lunas. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery following the funeral.

ROBLES -- Dominic Robles, 40, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away June 11, 2009. Dominic is survived by his father, Philip F. Robles; his children, Shaniah Lovato and Dominic Robles; his three sisters, June Robles, Dolores Robles and l. t. p., Lawrence Gonzales, and Joni Pacheco; his brothers, David Robles and wife, Suzanne, Tom Robles and wife, Diane, Paul Robles and wife, Tanya; the mother of his children, Tonya Craig; his aunts, Romana Gonzales and husband, Jack, and Dolores Nieto; his uncles, Joseph Robles, Tom E. Robles and wife, Orpha, Orlando Robles and wife, Trancy; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dominic was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Gerber and his mother, Isabel Robles. Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Father Vincent Dominguez, presider. MARTINEZ -- Susan McVey (Giese) Martinez, June 10, 1939 - June 2, 2009 First born of Frank Stearns Giese and Jane Walker (also known as Jess McVey); Susan was an avid reader and traveler. She graduated high school in Groton, Massachusetts and attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She retired from Mountain Bell (Qwest) after 30 years of service. She volunteered as a reading tutor at Los Padillas Elementary School Community Center, and for a local food bank delivering food to families on the west side, and volunteered at the South Valley Library. She also volunteered at the South Broadway Community Center preparing tax returns and was a proud and active member of her union the Communication Workers of America (CWA) and the South West Organizing Project (SWOP). She gave much of her time to her church, First Congregational United Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ruben, who will miss his beloved "navigator;" her mother Jess of San Francisco, California; her mother-in-law, Alicia of Chimayo, New Mexico; and her step mother, Jeanne of Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by her siblings, Nancy, Tom, Sam, Ellen, and Leslie; as well as her two children Donna and James; and her grandson, Nicholas. Her family and her many friends will miss her generous spirit and dry sense of humor. Mrs. Martinez was cremated at Riverside Funeral Home and there will be a Service at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah Witnesses located at 2605 Foothill Drive SW, 87105 at 2 p.m. on June 13, 2009, and a gathering will follow at 4 p.m. No flowers please.

NARVAIZ -- Louis Fairfax "Louie" Narvaiz, died Friday, June 5, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sylvia; children, Linda Friesen, Jim Bisson; grandchildren, Maria Friesen, Carl Friesen, William Bisson and Robert Bisson; sisters, Isabel Stanley and Sarah Foster; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Tom Bisson. Mr. Narvaiz retired from Sandia National Labs in 1983 after 28 years. Louie served in the US Navy at the end of WW II. He loved the outdoors, especially the Pecos area. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 12, 2009, 2:00 p.m., at French, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. VALDEZ -- Gina Michelle Valdez and her unborn angel passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009. Michelle has been missing for a long time. We all now can lay her to rest in peace. Michelle will always be missed and never forgotten. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Angelica Garcia; her son, Jeremiah Perez; her dear parents, Karen Jackson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Daniel Valdez of Albuquerque; sisters, Camille Valdez of Albuquerque, Kendra Bowen of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandparents, Margaret Turner of Albuquerque, William and Barbara Caldwell from Dexter, New Mexico.
