WILKINSON -- J.D. "BUD" Age 86, a longtime resident of Albuquerque and more recently of Corrales died peacefully in his sleep at home Wednesday, October 5, 2011, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He is survived by his wife Joyce; their children, Jerry and wife, Lana, and Dennis and wife, Maye; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Bud was a Mason and member of the West Lodge No. 475 of West, Texas and a member of Hoffmantown Church of Albuquerque. He had a long career in the business forms industry in both sales and manufacturing and was a member and leader in the National Business Forms Association. He was a loving husband, father and mentor to his sons. Services will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at French - Lomas Chapel with a reception immediately after. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park at a later time. For friends who wish, memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Eagles' Wings Youth Ranch, P.O. WRIGHT -- OLGA HENDRICK Memorial services for Olga Hendrick Wright will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in The First United Methodist Church Lubbock with the Reverend Keith Wiseman officiating. She passed on with family by her side on October 4, 2011 Born May 19, 1923 to Andrew Gustavus Hendrick and Pearl Jackson Hendrick in Marlin, Texas. Graduated from Marlin High School, received a Bachelor of Science from North Texas State, Magna Cum Laude, Master of Science from University of New Mexico and did post graduate studies at the University of Texas. Taught at Junction High School, San Marcus High School and Southwest Texas University. Lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 30 years. Served as President of the Albuquerque Little Theater Auxiliary. Director of the Child Development Center at Kirtland Air Force Base for 20 years. Director of the Child Development Center in Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan from 1985-1987. The following years, she consulted for childcare centers throughout the world. Married to Caddo Wright in 1987 at which time moved to Lubbock. A member of the First Methodist Church, Phi Upsilon Omicron, Trowel and Error Garden Club, Heritage Study Club, Lubbock Country Club, and several bridge and Mah Jongg groups. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons Barry Borden and wife Jennifer of Charlotte, N.C, Bob Borden and wife Maria of Santa Fe, NM, three grandchildren Tracy Borden-Geor and husband Raphael Geor, Auckland New Zealand, Myla Borden, and Peter Borden of Santa Fe, NM; and two great-grandchildren Jayden Geor and Shaymos Geor, Auckland, New Zealand, and her beloved sidekick; Precious. YOUNGER -- LAVANA S. Age 56, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011. She was born on August 12, 1955 to the late Jimmy and Marilyn Ginther Osborn, in Newton, IA. She was preceded in death by her sons, Jerol Younger, Jr., and Daniel Arnold Lee Younger. Lavana is survived by husband of 32 years, Jerol Younger, Sr.; daughters, Rosa Younger, Diana and husband, Adrian Lewis, Ladonna Younger, Antonia Younger, Kasandra Younger; sons, Patrick and wife, Vanaty Winchell, Fitzgerald and wife, Tekisha Younger; 27 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. DAUNER -- ROBERT K. Bob was born in Davenport, Iowa on August 15, 1927. He was the son of the late Ursula and Clarence Dauner. They lived there until he was five when his family moved to Springfield, Illinois. After graduating from Springfield High School, he joined the Navy and served during World War II. After the war, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bradley University. He moved to Albuquerque in the nineteen fifties where he was a photographer for the University of New Mexico for nine years. He later became a photo archivist for the Albuquerque Museum where he oversaw the organization and cataloging of over forty thousand images. He was coeditor and coauthor of several books and articles dealing with the early history of Albuquerque. A generous individual, he was honored by the New Mexico state legislature for outstanding community service. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Gross of Rainbow City, AL.; nephews, John Gross (Shari) of Springfield, IL., and Steve Gross (Kathy) of Gadsden AL.; as well as many great-nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank Pastor Bruno Alfieri of Legacy Church for leading Bob to our Lord, Jesus Christ, as well as Susan and Larry Elliott for all of the care, kindness and help provided to Bob and his family.

SPLINTER -- SCOTT DR. Dr. Scott Splinter was born May 2, 1946 to Mary Splinter (nee Jones) and Don Splinter in Evanston, IL. He died October 3, 2011 following an accident in Grand Junction, CO. Scott was a 1968 graduate of Northwestern University and a 1972 graduate of the University of Colorado Medical School. He served in the USN in San Diego, CA as a LCDR with commendation from 1972 to 1978. Following his Naval service, he moved to Tijeras, New Mexico where he practiced anesthesia in Albuquerque, also serving as President of The New Mexico Society of Anesthesiologists. In Grand Junction, he practiced at Community Hospital. He is survived by his brother and sister, Craig (Jackie) Splinter, Dick and Beth (Splinter) Gochnauer, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was a member of The Colorado Draft Horse Association, National Rifle Association, Western Slope Antique Power, Single Action Shooting Society and Grand Junction Narrow Gauge Railroad Club. ASHMAN -- ELIZABETH (BETTY) Age 82, passed away on October 2, 2011. Betty served as a nurse during WWII in England, and after moving to the States to marry Bob, continued her career in Albuquerque as a pediatric nurse. Betty is survived by son Rob, his wife Nancy, their children, Kelly and Stephen Smith, Valerie and David Gorm, and great-granddaughter, Addison. She is also survived by son Mark, his wife Amy, their children Leigh Ashman, Peter and Miranda Ashman. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Glory Christian Fellowship, 2417 Wyoming Blvd NE. BAZINET -- NORMAN L. Age 84, passed away October 3, 2011. He was born in Natick, MA in 1927, the only son of Germaine Boisvert and Louis Bazinet. He is survived by his wife, Dian and his son, Jason. Norman was proud to have served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He came to Albuquerque in 1951 with the US Air Force. After he left the service, he stayed in Albuquerque because he fell in love with the state. He enjoyed the open spaces, big skies and arid climate. Although his formal education was limited, he had a good sense of human nature and possessed sound business judgment. Over the years, he started several small businesses and was a successful real estate investor. He retired in 1980. He had no formal hobbies, but enjoyed attending UNM basketball games, having lunch with his friends at "The Table" and taking long drives with his wife across New Mexico. His friends and his family enjoyed his stories, his sense of humor and his quick wit. In lieu of flowers, Norman would probably have preferred that his friends just keep their money. The Bazinet family will receive guests at their home on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.

CARMIGNANI -- ROBERT LEE Age 58, passed away at his home on Monday evening, October 3rd. Bob was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on December 11, 1952, and has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1957. He graduated from Manzano High School in 1970, where he held the position of quarterback for the MHS football team, Honorable Mention All-American Quarterback. Bob graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1975, and then completed his technical training in California. He owned, and ran, two successful dental laboratories in Albuquerque between 1978, and 2011. Bob is survived by his mother, Joyce Morello, of Albuquerque; his brother, Lawrence T. Carmignani, of Seattle, Washington; two daughters, Christen Pike and Lawren Carmignani, both of Albuquerque; Christen's husband, John Pike; their two sons, Jackson and Parker; and numerous extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carmignani, D.D.S. Bob was an athlete, a connoisseur of art, classical music, history, and a member of the Alamo Society. He was a devoted son, father, brother, and grandfather, and he is dearly loved. DIAZ -- CHRISTOPHER, SSGT September 4, 1984 - September 28, 2011 "Christopher, Thank you for what you've given, no one could ask for more; may you rest with God in Heaven from now through evermore." SSgt Christopher Diaz was an accomplished young man; he graduated from La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, NM and went on to enlist in the United States Marine Corps in 2003. Chris "Fatso" comes from a long line of military tradition which includes his great-grandfather Jesus Diaz, grandfather Salvador Diaz, father Salvador Diaz, Jr. and older brother Raynaldo S. Diaz. SSgt. Diaz was assigned to Headquarters Battallion Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center and served for III-MEF. During his eight years of loyal service he did one tour in Iraq, one tour in Israel, and one tour in Afganistan. Knowing the dangers that came with his career he bravely served with honor, courage and commitment to the very end. Motocross, shooting, golfing, scuba diving, paint ball and cooking were all ways to relax after a long days work. Left to honor the memory of his life are his children, Jeremy C. Diaz, Mia E. Davis; parents, Salvador Diaz Jr., Sandra Diaz; and fiancee, Tonya Jackson. Other survivors include his brothers, Raynaldo S. Diaz (Lori Wilcox), Jeromie Diaz (Marisa Godoy); faithful K-9 companion, Dino and numerous family members and friends. His decorations consist of Combat Action Ribbon, Marine Corps. Good Conduct Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Navy and Marine Corps. Overseas Service Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Certificate of Commendation (Individual Award), and Letter of Appreciation. Visitation for SSgt. Diaz will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home, with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Mark Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, with Full Military Honors.
