WRIGHT -- OLGA HENDRICK Memorial services for Olga Hendrick Wright will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in The First United Methodist Church Lubbock with the Reverend Keith Wiseman officiating. She passed on with family by her side on October 4, 2011 Born May 19, 1923 to Andrew Gustavus Hendrick and Pearl Jackson Hendrick in Marlin, Texas. Graduated from Marlin High School, received a Bachelor of Science from North Texas State, Magna Cum Laude, Master of Science from University of New Mexico and did post graduate studies at the University of Texas. Taught at Junction High School, San Marcus High School and Southwest Texas University. Lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 30 years. Served as President of the Albuquerque Little Theater Auxiliary. Director of the Child Development Center at Kirtland Air Force Base for 20 years. Director of the Child Development Center in Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan from 1985-1987. The following years, she consulted for childcare centers throughout the world. Married to Caddo Wright in 1987 at which time moved to Lubbock. A member of the First Methodist Church, Phi Upsilon Omicron, Trowel and Error Garden Club, Heritage Study Club, Lubbock Country Club, and several bridge and Mah Jongg groups. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons Barry Borden and wife Jennifer of Charlotte, N.C, Bob Borden and wife Maria of Santa Fe, NM, three grandchildren Tracy Borden-Geor and husband Raphael Geor, Auckland New Zealand, Myla Borden, and Peter Borden of Santa Fe, NM; and two great-grandchildren Jayden Geor and Shaymos Geor, Auckland, New Zealand, and her beloved sidekick; Precious.
