Obituary for SPLINTER

SCOTT DR. Dr. Scott Splinter was born May 2, 1946 to Mary Splinter (nee Jones) and Don Splinter in Evanston, IL. He died October 3, 2011 following an accident in Grand Junction, CO. Scott was a 1968 graduate of Northwestern University and a 1972 graduate of the University of Colorado Medical School. He served in the USN in San Diego, CA as a LCDR with commendation from 1972 to 1978. Following his Naval service, he moved to Tijeras, New Mexico where he practiced anesthesia in Albuquerque, also serving as President of The New Mexico Society of Anesthesiologists. In Grand Junction, he practiced at Community Hospital. He is survived by his brother and sister, Craig (Jackie) Splinter, Dick and Beth (Splinter) Gochnauer, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was a member of The Colorado Draft Horse Association, National Rifle Association, Western Slope Antique Power, Single Action Shooting Society and Grand Junction Narrow Gauge Railroad Club.
