Scanlan -- Pauline Elizabeth Scanlan, 83, passed away August 26, 2000. She was born in Denton, Texas, April 29, 1917 to Webster and Maude Coffey. She met and married Miller Scanlan in Del Rio, Texas in 1944, and they have resided in Albuquerque since 1944. She was employed by L.B. Price Mercantile Co. for 25 years. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Miller Scanlan; children, Volney Scanlan and wife, Dorothy of Mountainair, NM, Robert Scanlan and wife, Penny of Mesa, AZ, Timothy Scanlan and wife, Wanda of Las Cruces, NM, Linda Kay Beeson and husband, David, Kathy Ann Casias and husband, Henry of Albuquerque; 16 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at Fruit Ave. Baptist Church, 812 Fruit Ave. NW, Tuesday, August 29, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Frank Malizzo, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Felts -- Millard H. Felts, age 91, passed away on August 2232, 2000 at the Sierra Health Care Center in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. A former longtime resident of Albuquerque, he retired from the AT & SF Railroad in 1958. He was born on September 2, 1908 in Macksville, Kansas, the son of George M. and the former Effie B. (Keith) Felts. Mr. Felts married Ethel E. (Beye) on September 28, 1927 in Dodge City, Kansas and she preceded him in death on March 28, 1999. A resident of Truth or Consequences since 1987, he was a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 13 AF&AM; enjoyed woodworking, jewelry making, fishing and hunting. He leaves to mourn his passing, his two sons, Howard Lee Felts of Truth or Consequences, Harold Dee Felts of Palacios, TX; five grandsons, Dr. Ricky D. Felts of Truth or Consequences, Millard Dee Felts of Silver City, James Felts of Los Lunas, David Felts of Louisiana and Steven Felts of Artesia, NM; two granddaughters, Vicki Lee Rutan of Tulsa, OK and Janet Lynn Felts of Waco, TX; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Mary Nadean Dawson. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2000, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of French Mortuary (TorC). Services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Ann Madden officiating. Servings as pallbearers will be Dr. Rick Felts, Jim Felts, Matt Felts, Dave Rutan, Andy Rutan and Bob Wickems. Interment will be in the Vista Memory Gardens Cemetery. Hampton -- John"Gardner" Hampton went to be with our Lord on August 24, 2000, surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Acomita, NM, after a lengthy illness. Gardner was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 21, 1935 to Juan Franco Delgado and Loella Rivers. He was the eldest of a family of four, of whom all preceded him in death. He served in the Armed Forces during the Korean Conflict, and was Honorably discharged in 1960. He also served in the National Guard. He was also a highly respected businessman/contractor, and built numerous homes throughout New Mexico. He worked in the uranium mining industry for numerous mining companies throughout New Mexico. His most prized accomplishment was that of being an Ordained Minister. He was proud of being the Sheriff's Chaplain of Cibola County. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hampton of Acoma, NM. They had recently celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends on February 5th of this year, their actual wedding was February 6th of 1954. He is also survived by his children, Veronica Salvador (deceased), John G. Hampton III and his wife, Elaine of Bremerton, WA, Donald W. Hampton and his wife, Eugenia of Albuquerque, Mark T. Hampton and his wife, Beverly of Port Orchard, WA, Anita J. Herberling and her husband, Mike of Port Orchard, WA, Josephine M. Gardner and her recently deceased husband, Jeffery of Hatch, NM, Margarita V. Oritz and her husband, Dwayne of Acoma, NM, Aurelia L. Siow and her husband, James of Milan, NM, Celia J. Hampton of Acoma, NM; his 26 grandchildren include Lorie June, Clorinda Ann, Myron James, twins, Annette Marie and Jeanette Marie, Leslie Deanne, Gregory Thaddeus, Thaddeus Eugene, Matthew Odell, Shoshoni Don, River Wind, Vanessa Renee, Daniel, David, Annette, Dwayne Michael, Franklin Joshua, Nicole Marie, Felicia, David, Caitlin Jean, Jamie, James"Hawk", Jocelyn Mae, Josiah Caleb, Mary Anita, and Bubba; his 12 great-grandchildren include Salvador, Tessa, Kristen, CJ, Austyn, Traci, Dominique, Veronica"Nicca", Eric Jr., Elaine, Troy and Esperanza; his many nieces and nephews still reside in and around Saginaw, MI. His wake will be held at the family home at Acoma Skyline #52, Acomita, NM, on Friday, August 25th, at 7:00 p.m. Services to be held on Saturday, August 26th at Family Life Assembly of God (1 mile east of San Fidel, NM) at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow services at Mount of Peace Cemetery in McCartys, NM. Stewart -- Alfred (Al) M. Stewart, a resident of Albuquerque since 1942, passed away suddenly of an abdominal aneurism on August 19, 2000 in Elk City, OK. Al was born in San Angelo, TX on November 24, 1933. He was a machinist by trade and worked for American Car Foundry (ACF). He was a pioneer in the automotive wrecking and towing business. Al was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Joy Stewart; and daughter, Rita Griego. He is survived by his two sons, Steven Stewart and wife, Debbie, Delbert Stewart and wife, Gail; daughter, Beverly Stewart; five grandchildren, Bryan and Krystal Stewart, Doren, Aubrey and Cheyenne Griego; and son-in-law, David Griego. Also three four-legged grandkids, Peaches, Lucky and Rascal Stewart; two brothers, Foster Atkins and Joe Stewart; and sister, Betty O'Bryan, all of San Angelo, TX. Al will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2000, 4:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 8904 Menaul NE, Albuquerque, NM, with Matthew Holt officiating. Bundy -- Nicki Lynn Bundy, 54, a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, died Tuesday, August 22, 2000. Nicki is survived by her husband, Kenneth B. Bundy; sons, Justin Bundy and wife, Samantha of Augusta, GA, Jonathan Bundy, and David Bundy, both of Albuquerque; brother, Gary Voich of Hopedale, OH; two nieces and aunt, all of Hopedale, OH. She worked as a RN nurse for Presbyterian and for Kaseman in the ICU. She was a certified CPR (BLS Instructor) and also taught CPR classes. Raising her children was a top priority in her life. She was a member of the NM Nursing Association and St. Stephens United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2000, 2:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Burial will be celebrated at Hopedale Cemetery in Hopedale, Ohio on Monday, August 28, 2000. Friends may visit Thursday, August 24, 2000, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Page -- David R. Page, 74, resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2000. Stong -- Donavan M. Stong, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 12 years, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2000. Donavan was born June 1, 1917, the son of Harry F. and Lola E. Burkhart Stong in Stanley, Wisconsin. He had been a bartender/manager of clubs for 30 years before retiring. Donavan served in the US Army during WW II. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 11, in Lafayette, Indiana for 45 years, and a 40 & 8 Member in Lafayette, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Lenora of Albuquerque; two daughters, Sandra Lee Schrader of Westminster, CO, and Peggy Jo Wells of Commerce City, CO; five grandchildren, Michael Odom, Timothy Odom, Tammy Eberle, Christine Schrader, and David Schrader; and three Great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2000, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with the graveside service at 11:00 a.m. in Vista Verde Memorial Park with Pastor Ray Wells and Jerry Wells officiating. Torrez -- Eloy M. Torrez, age 78, passed away August 23, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Amelia of 57 years; his children, Priscilla and husband, Dr. Larry Smith, David Torrez and wife, Kathy, Dr. Michael Torrez and wife, Rosanna, Mary Louise and husband, Jim Bermudez, Kathleen and husband, Dr. Steven Bloom, Yolanda and husband, James Lunsford; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Alice Garcia and husband, Gregorio; and one brother, Santiago Torrez and wife, Maria. Mr. Torrez was a World War II Veteran and retired from Albuquerque Public Schools in 1982. He will be remembered by his WWII stories, vegetable garden, prize-winning chili, wonderful sense of humor, and most of all, his loving generosity. He was a longtime member of Southside Church of God and was very active in the Armijo Senior Citizens Center. A Prayer service and viewing will be held tonight, 6:30 p.m., at Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, with Pastor Richard Mansfield officiating. Cremation will take place and interment of cremated remains will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. We thank all that have touched Eloy's heart and the continued support from all our friends and family.
