Hammock -- Maxine Clariece Hammock, 84, a resident of Albuquerque for 67 years, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2000, at Sandia Springs Assisted Living Facility. Her husband, Alton, and her daughter, Loraine were at her side. Maxine is survived by Alton, her husband of 64 years; her son, Glen; and her daughter, Loraine. Other survivors include granddaughters, Gloria Sands, Patricia Littell, and Sally Garcia; two great-granddaughters, Jesica Sands and Vanesa Garcia; one great-great-granddaughter, Samantha Rodgers; brothers, Walter, Wayne, Hilton and Ellis Wilson and their families; sister, Lola Davis; sister-in-law, Lillian. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; and by her brother, Lloyd Wilson. Maxine was born on May 30, 1916 in Meeker, CO to Blair and Elsie Wilson. She grew up on a ranch in Meeker and lived there until the family moved to Albuquerque in 1933. Maxine graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1934. She married Alton Hammock in 1936 and was a homemaker for 64 years. She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing and working in her yard. Friends looked forward to Maxine's Christmas boxes filled with her homemade canned pears and peaches, bread, cookies, and candies. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor Paul Gleason officiating. Entombment will follow at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be John Harding, Jimmie Yeats, Charles Valerio, Cervando Molinar, Scott Porter and Sal Esparza. Honorary pallbearers will be La Vern Chapman and David Lewis. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Monday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Maxine to Sandia Hospice, 4775 Indian School Rd. Dearholt -- Evelyn Isabelle Dearholt, age 68, and a resident of Placitas, died on August 31, 2000. She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild and is survived by six children, Linda Malloy and husband, Ray of Rio Rancho, John R. Dearholt and wife, Jennifer of Ohio, Jim D. Dearholt and wife, Tara of Albuquerque, David L. Dearholt and wife, Jodie of Pennsylvania, Charles E. Blount of Colorado, and Cynthia Davis of Albuquerque; a sister, Joycelyn Sue Lynd of Rochester, NY; 19 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Hay -- George Brown Hay, 96, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Wednesday, August 30, 2000. He is survived by his son, David George Hay and wife, Pam of Ontario, CA; daughters, Sandra Westerfeld and husband, Norman of Albuquerque, and Shareen Gray and husband, Pete of Irving, TX; seven grandchildren, Norman Westerfeld, Jr. and wife, Vicki, Cal Dean Herron and wife, Liz, Cindie Corvin and husband, Chris, Mark Hay and wife, Debbie, Boyd Hay, JoAnna Welsh and husband, John, and Cheryl Morgan and husband, Mike; 15 great-grandchildren, Norman, III, Jared, Michelle, Jacob, Nathan, Alexander, Will, Esther, Taylor, Tyler, Kelly, Glenna, Denelle, Trenda and Garrett; brother, Thomas Hay; sisters, Margaret Hay Roper and Mary Hay Torquato. Mr. Hay was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Nelle Lucille Voorhees Hay; and his great-grandson, Cal Dean Herron, Jr. Mr. Hay immigrated to northern New Mexico in 1909, with his parents and three siblings from Kilwinning, Scotland. In 1941, Mr. Hay became a citizen of the United States. He started working at the age of 12 and retired at 82. Mr. Hay worked as a coal miner in Van Houten, Koehler and Dawson, New Mexico for 27 years. He also worked for KL House Construction Co. in Albuquerque for 39 years. Mr. Hay took care of his beloved wife,"Nan" for eight years before her death in November of 1994. He left this world a better place because of hard work, unconditional love, devotion, kindness and patience. George was the sweetest man any of us ever knew and we will always miss him all of our lives. He is at peace with God and happy because he is strolling through the heather with the only woman he ever loved, Nan. Services will be held Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE., and with Chaplain Larry Wills officiating. Wearing of your Tartan or plaid is encouraged. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Mccausland -- Beverlee Rae Calkins McCausland, born May 7, 1930, died of cancer at her home, August 23, 2000. Bebs was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Jo McCausland. She is survived by her husband, John (Jack) McCausland of Albuquerque; a daughter, Lois Ann Rominger and her husband, David of Deming; two grandsons, PFC Burton L. Rominger, USMC, stationed at San Diego, CA and Pvt. David Jon Rominger, stationed at Ft. Jackson, SC; two uncles, Dr. Harry M. Dixon and his wife, Marj of Laguna Woods, CA and Ralph Dixon and his wife, Edna of Albuquerque; and cousin, Dr. Thomas R. Podleski of Ithaca, NY. Bebes was born and lived many years in Bloomington, IL, where she still has relatives and many friends. She graduated from UNM in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She taught at Highland High School and left teaching to be a full-time mother and devoted wife. Throughout her life, she was active in various groups, such as the American Association of University Women, various garden clubs, genealogy, and the Girl Scouts. She enjoyed especially meeting with various artists and appreciating their work. Her family wishes to express appreciation to Presbyterian Hospice nursing staff for their efforts in Beverlee's behalf. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Humane Assoc. of New Mexico, Noon Day Ministry or a charity of your choice. Cremation will be followed by a Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2000 at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE. Ingram -- Orvella Jeane (Jeanie) Ingram, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, passed away August 29, 2000. Her father, Lester L. Pugh predeceased her August 3, 1987. Also her four grandparents, Albert F. Pugh, Ada M. Pierce Pugh, Clay L. Profitt and Lida M. Carr Profitt. She is survived by her mother, Violet L. Profitt Pugh from Bartlesville, OK. Jeanie is also survived by her husband of almost 50 years, George Edwin Ingram; her daughter, Linda Jeane Walton; her grandson, David Nicholas Walton; her son, Bryan Allen Ingram; her grandsons, Kristopher Bryan Ingram and Stephen Allen Ingram, all of Albuquerque. Her daughter's husband is William A. (Buddy) Walton III and her son's wife is Bonnie Evans Ingram. Her brother, Larry L. Pugh and his wife, Sandra live in Smyer, TX. Another sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ingram Hensley lives in Dallas, TX. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Jeanie was born September 22, 1932 in Bartlesville, but was raised and attended schools in Oklahoma City, OK. She also attended the University of Oklahoma with George. She married George, February 10, 1951 while he was in the Air Force. They married at a chapel on Lackland AFB and then they lived in San Antonio, TX for four years. After attending OSU in Stillwater, OK, they moved to Albuquerque, June 4, 1957. Jeanie was very creative. She loved to garden and she fired beautiful ceramics to decorate her new and most recent home at 8915 Greenarbor Rd. NE. She created the architectural plans for this home, which she and George built four years ago. She enjoyed advanced square dancing, country-western dancing, line-dancing, and round-dancing. She also traveled extensively. Her greatest enjoyment was playing card games and board games with her grandsons. Visitation for family and friends will be at St. Johns United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona St. NE, Friday, September 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7500 Paseo Del Norte NE 87113, in the Mausoleum Chapel, Saturday, September 2, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Lovelace Hospice, attention Susan Lueckenhoff, MSW, at 5400 Gibson Blvd. SE, Bldg. 18, 18708, or to your favorite charity. Romero -- Mrs. Rosella Romero, 84, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on August 31, 2000. Mrs. Romero is survived by her daughter, Elsie Marquez; six sons, Seferino Romero and wife, Ruby, Joe Romero, Leo Romero and wife, Rita of Las Vegas, NV, David Romero and wife, Lupita of Las Vegas, NV, Lee Ray Romero and wife, Ester and Michael Romero and wife, Maria Louisa; two brothers, Alfredo Jaramillo of Belen and Aristeo Jaramillo of Flagstaff, AZ; two sisters, Flora Mascarenas and husband, Samuel and Angie Tafoya and husband, Pete; 49 grandchildren; 109 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leandro Romero; and sons, Randy, Santiago, Eddie and Roger. A visitation will be held Friday evening after 8:30 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with a prayer service to be held at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Ray Nieto, officiating.
