Mrs. Rosella Romero, 84, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on August 31, 2000. Mrs. Romero is survived by her daughter, Elsie Marquez; six sons, Seferino Romero and wife, Ruby, Joe Romero, Leo Romero and wife, Rita of Las Vegas, NV, David Romero and wife, Lupita of Las Vegas, NV, Lee Ray Romero and wife, Ester and Michael Romero and wife, Maria Louisa; two brothers, Alfredo Jaramillo of Belen and Aristeo Jaramillo of Flagstaff, AZ; two sisters, Flora Mascarenas and husband, Samuel and Angie Tafoya and husband, Pete; 49 grandchildren; 109 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leandro Romero; and sons, Randy, Santiago, Eddie and Roger. A visitation will be held Friday evening after 8:30 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, with a prayer service to be held at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Ray Nieto, officiating. A Communion service will be held Saturday afternoon, 1:00 p.m., at the San Isidro Catholic Church in Las Nutrias, NM. Deacon Eddie Blea, officiating. Final viewing will be at the church after 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the Las Nutrias Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joe Martinez, Capser Romero, Albert Romero, Bobby Romero, Chris Romero, Lee Ray Jr., and Michael Jr. Honorary will be Cisco Romero, Edwin Romero and Arturo Romero. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
