Tafoya -- In Loving Memory TOMMY TAFOYA July 22, 1940 - September 11, 1992It is eight years today that you went to a better place. You have a five month old granddaughter named Evangelee Trinidad. She was born on her grandma's birthday; beautiful baby girl. Gerald Paul is 20 months old and our Dennis the Menace, he doesn't talk much, but sure gets his message across; his cousins call him"Dentist", I guess that is what they think we call him. Tatiana is our chatter box like her Auntie Trinnie, she takes dance classes and loves them. Tomas started kindergarten this year at St. Charles and loves school, they say he has a harem - as the girls like him. Fernando went to Phoenix with us all and he said he had a good time. Your son Nep is following in your footsteps, driving for Yellow and Gerald; is at his dream job at ABF. Tom and Charlotte were just married seven years and bought a new house. Lucretia is living, working, and teaching in Flagstaff. We miss you & love you, Your wife, Vivian, Kids, Tom, Charlotte, Lucretia, Nep, Bianca, and Mary Trinnie and Gerald Grandkids, Fernando, Tomas, Tatiana, Gerald Paul and Evangelee .DMP

Andrews -- Gladys Andrews, 83, a resident of Albuquerque for the past nine years, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2000. Gladys was born September 5, 1916, the daughter of Theodore and Edna Clinton Dillon in Brooklyn, New York. She had been a waitress before retiring. Gladys was a member of the Meadowlark Senior Center and the Los Volcanes Senior Center. She is survived by her four children, Gerri Hanratty, Pat Trichter-Vita, Louise Fredrickson, and Roddy Christiansen; three granddaughters, Maureen, Jennifer, and Janine; and one great-grandson, Kevin. The service for Gladys will be on Monday, September 11, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Laurelview Convelesant Center, 5900 Forest Hills Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sandia Hospice, 4725 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, have been suggested. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.

Batchelor -- Frank Batchelor, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, passed away on September 7, 2000. He was born March 28, 1915 in Duluth, MN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Helen (Hornbeck) Batchelor. He is survived by his sister, Marjorie Curran of Albuquerque Mr. Batchelor was a warehouseman, retiring first from Sandia National Labs in 1973, then from the Defense Nuclear Agency in 1979. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE. Interment in Fairview Memorial Park will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to First Presbyterian Church. Beeson -- Debbie Ann Barber-Besson, 46, born July 22, 1954, was a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2000. She was preceded in death by her mother, Coketta Jeffers. Debbie is survived by her husband, Kenneth (Animal) Beeson; sons, Troy E. Barber of Las Vegas, NV and Glen B. Barber; father, Virgil Jeffers; sisters, Kathleen Weidner, Linda Shaw of Denver, CO, Cynthia Mauzy of Edgewood; grandson, Garrett E. Barber of Shreveport, LA and many nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss her. She loved animals, playing bingo, and dancing. Her free will and compassionate spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Memorial services will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2000. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2000. A reception will follow at 10301 Delta Circle NW, in Paradise Hills. Bridenback -- Kevin Bridenback, a resident of Albuquerque, formerly a resident of Washington State, was born on May 29, 1975, and was tragically taken from us on September 3, 2000. Kevin is survived by his mother, Pam Bridenback; numerous friends and family in the Olympia, Washington area, and friends here in New Mexico. He will also be mourned by his military friends. Kevin will always be beloved and have a special place in the hearts of his patients and co-workers at Dialysis Center, Inc. He had a brilliant wit, was kind and gentle, and was deeply appreciated by those whose lives he touched. Kevin left behind many unfulfilled dreams and aspirations, and a very bright future. Funeral services to be arranged by his family in Washington State. A Memorial service will be held on September 7, 2000, 7:00 p.m., at St. Paul's Episcopal, NW corner of 19th and Golf Course Road, Rio Rancho. Brinkman -- Peggy Brinkman - August 24, 1953 to September 6, 2000. Survived by husband, Jim; and daughters, Shaina and Joy. Peggy lived her life from her heart. Peggy inspired in work and play. In Peggy's work and workshops, she always left people with an improved sense of self and a greater enthusiasm for life. She loved the earth and its elements; water (especially the beach); air (especially hot air balloons); animals; she loved most everything. Peggy was a perfect mother. Her daughter's needs, wants, and desires always came first. She loved her darlings with all her heart and soul. Peggy was a perfect wife. She did everything in her power to make her husband's life joyful and complete. She left her marriage with nothing unresolved. Peggy lived in the realm of magic and miracles, and love. God touched her every day. Peggy battled with cancer for more than eight years, always with courage. Until the day she died, everyone who visited Peggy to comfort her, was comforted. Everyone who prayed for her was blessed. Everyone who knew Peggy loved her. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Contributions to the Presbyterian Hospice in Peggy's name are appreciated. The hospice provided miraculous support to Peggy and her loved ones during her final two weeks. They made the death process comforting and beautiful, and alleviated Peggy's and her husband's fear of death. A Memorial service will be conducted Sunday, 1:00 p.m., at the First Church of Religious Science, 3320 San Pedro NE. Carvajal -- Anita L. Carvajal, 69, a resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, September 8, 2000. She is survived by her sons, Bruce Carvajal and wife, Diane, Craig Carvajal, David Carvajal, Eliot Carvajal and wife, Yvonne and Dan Harris; grandchildren, Daniel and Catherine Carvajal; brother, Donald Rojas and wife, Cheryl. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Carvajal in 1991. She began her career as a nurse anesthethist working at various hospitals in Albuquerque. Later, Anita joined her husband's law practice as a paralegal. She also helped as a substitute teacher for disabled students in the Albuquerque Public School system. Anita loved gardening, skiing, traveling, and cooking. She will be remembered as a vibrant person who was full of life. Services will be held Monday, 10:30 a.m. at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Friends may visit French Mortuary-Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW, Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Bruce Carvajal, Craig Carvajal, David Carvajal, Eliot Carvajal, Donald Rojas, and Dan Harris. Edwards -- Mary Frances Edwards, 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, died Tuesday, September 5, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Frances Shoda of Weiser, ID and Marguerite Perdue of Rio Vista, CA; sons, Bruce Edwards and wife, Nancy of Reno, NV and Joseph McCauley Edwards and wife, Pat of Medford, OR; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Edwards Sr. in 1995. Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Eastern Star, Desert Rose Chapter, for many years. She was also a member of Monterey Baptist Church. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2000, 1:30 p.m. at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE. Elliott -- Dorothy Cox Elliott, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Friday, September 8, 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Susan D. Scott and husband, Ronald of Las Cruces and Sarah Heaslet and husband, Eugene of Bosque Farms; grandchildren, Todd Scott and wife, Jessica of Las Cruces, Brian Scott and wife, Michelle of Phoenix, AZ, Ronald Scott Jr. and wife, Linda of Las Cruces, Dr. Holly Heaslet of Worcester, MA, and Eric Heaslet of Portland, OR; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Addison, Campbell, Danica, Zoie and Zane. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anol B. Elliott; sister, Cleo Farley; brothers, Clayton Cox and Earl Cox Jr. Dorothy was a member of Heights Baptist Church. Elmore -- Elaine Elmore, 85, a resident of Edgewood for 28 years, died Friday, September 8, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Elmore of Edgewood, NM; daughter, Elaine Kozlowski of Edgewood, NM; son, J. Charles Elmore and wife, Elva of Mission Viejo, CA; and many friends. She worked for American Furniture for many years before retiring in 1981. Mrs. Elmore was a loving wife and mother. she has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2000, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Reverend Donna K. Jackson officiating.
