Starr -- Wilberta L. Starr, 81, a resident of Rio Rancho for 17 years and formerly of Spencerville, Ohio, passed away January 26, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 1978. She is survived by loving sisters, Berneta and husband, James Brownell of Ida, MI, Mary and husband, Leo Dierks of Toledo, OH and Leila and husband, Ted Grote of Greenville, OH. Loving daughter, Janice K. Stein of Rio Rancho; and son, David and wife, Darlene Starr of South Windsor, CT, Richard and wife, Marilyn Starr of Lima, OH, Kenneth and wife, Joan of Lima, OH. Loving grandchildren, Jason and wife, June Stein of Albuquerque, Kristin Stein Lemke of Albuquerque, Michele and husband, Wayne Stapell of Wilton, CT, Tyler Starr of Minneapolis, MN, Kim and husband, Steve McGinnis of Whitehall, OH, Lisa and husband, Kevin Finn of Lima, OH, Julie and husband, Mike Iiams of Findley, OH, Chris and wife, Deborah Starr of Elida, OH, Dale Starr of Dallas, TX. Survived by nine loving great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Bev Perrault loving friends and household companion for the past 17 years. The family requests that donations be made in Wilberta's name to Quality Continuum Hospice, 2625 Pennsylvania Ave. NE, Suite 225, Albuquerque, NM 87107. They are very grateful for all the loving support and care provided for Wilberta and themselves by the hospice caregivers. Calt -- Mary Calt, nee O'Halloran, a resident of Albuquerque since 1981, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died in Albuquerque January 21, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Owen; and her children, Catherine Neubauer of Churchville, PA, Eugene, Doretta and Kevin Calt of Albuquerque; son, James Calt of Anchorage, AK; grandsons, Brian and Daniel Calt of Albuquerque; grandson, Barry Calt of New Jersey; granddaughter, Stephanie Calt of Greeley, CO; grandsons, Shannon and Shayne Calt; granddaughter, Shawna Calt of Anchorage, AK; grandson, Robert Neubauer and granddaughter, Mary Kay Neubauer of Philadelphia; grandson, James Neubauer of Flint, MI; brothers, John and Patrick; sisters, Helen and Alice of the Republic of Ireland; and sister, Jane of Great Britain. Mary was a homemaker and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church and a member of the Golden Agers Club. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE. Derickson -- Neale Edwin Derickson, 70, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died Monday, January 24, 2000. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service. His wife, Betty preceded him in death. A son, Clyde Derickson; a daughter, Shirley Mitchell; his mother, Ruth Shelton; two sisters, Marilyn Martinez and Madelyn Christiansen; and three grandchildren, Kevin Carpenter, Michelle Mitchell and James Derickson survive him. Graveside services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m., at the National Cemetery, Santa Fe, with Military Funeral Honors. Arrangements by Huson Funeral Home, Little Rock, Arkansas. Pacheco -- Lydia B. Pacheco, 73, a resident of Alameda, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2000. She was dearly loved and will be forever missed. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Augustine (Chago); her daughter, Sandra and husband, Michael; sons, Robert and wife, Emily, Larry and wife, Liz, Tony and wife, Lilly, and Victor and wife, Shelley; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in the chapel of Alameda Mortuary with James Rael reciting. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest beside her two other sons, Manuel and Frank, who preceded her in death. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Larry Pacheco, Michael Gutierrez Jr., Anthony Pacheco, and Christopher Pino, and her great-grandsons, Frank (Pancho) Parella, Valentine Trujillo and Jordan Humphrey. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Yvette Trujillo, Augusta Pacheco, Cynthia Pacheco, Lydia Gutierrez, Amber Pacheco, Danielle Pacheco, Jessica Pacheco and Whitney Pacheco, and her other great-grandchildren, Frank Trujillo Jr., Andres Trujillo, Rebecca Trujillo, Vicente Trujillo and Kylah Pacheco. Adams -- Mary S. Adams, 65, a resident of Albuquerque for 49 years, died Friday, January 21, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Edward Adams of Albuquerque; sons, Cliff Roudabush and wife, Cheryl of Albuquerque, Larry Roudabush and wife, Wanda of Washington State, and James Roudabush and wife, Patti of Washington State; sisters, Helen Morris of Edmond, OK, Judy McCormick of Westminster, CA and Vickie Swanson of Anaheim, CA; and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her father and mother, Arthur and Eloise Fields; her two sisters, Danna Burton and Clarice Bruner; and her brother, Buford Fields. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Women of the Moose, Chapter 1266. Services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2000, 2:00 p.m. at Moose Lodge, 2121 Edith NE. Garcia -- Victor Manuel Garcia, a life long resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly early Friday morning. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennie, of 56 years and companion of 63 years. Victor was blessed with seven children, his daughters, Luanne Kozlowski and husband, Richard and Patricia Ortiz and husband, Raymond; his sons, Victor and wife, Bernadette of San Diego, CA, John and wife, Yolanda, Richard and wife, Rebecca, Ron and wife, Debbie and Edward and wife, Tammy. He is also survived by his beloved brothers and sisters, Andrew Garcia and partner, Candy Chavez, Louie and wife, Francis, Joe and wife, Viola of CA, Carmelita Garcia-Salazar, Crucita and husband, Flaviano; 18 grandchildren, Erick, Jennifer, Martin, Brian, Greg, Dominic, Janna, JoVanna, Joshua, Danielle, Victor, Monica, Jocelyn, Candace, John, Gabe, Erica and Elicia; his four great-grandchildren, Ashley, James, Brianna, Julian and one yet to arrive. Victor loved to dance and was best known in Albuquerque as"King of the Jitterbug," a title he earned at the Old Town Society Hall. He served his country proudly during World War II, assigned to the Army Corp of Engineering as a 2nd Lieutenant and also was a Drill Instructor, training thousands of soldiers. In 1952, after being honorably discharged, he and his wife settled in the south valley of Albuquerque where they raised their family. His family and friends will miss his gentle, loving and quiet ways. A Rosary will be recited at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW on Sunday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be at the church on Monday, January 24 at 10:30 a.m. with the Burial at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE, to follow.
