Cordova -- Lucy Cordova died Tuesday at the age of 82. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Cordova; son, Jessie O. Cordova; father, Salomon Gonzales; mother, Adelina Padilla Gonzales; four brothers, Benjamin, Avelicio, Matias, and Ernest Gonzales; and one sister, Juanita Montoya. She is survived by four children, Crenice Carlos Cordova, Mary Lou Garcia and husband, Anthony, Vidala Perea and husband, Alex, all of Albuquerque, and Herman F. Cordova and wife, Camille of Rio Rancho; one sister, Emilia Ware of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary will be held tonight as the Sacred Heart Church at 7:30 p.m. The Salazar & Sons Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Cordova -- Rudy Dennis Leo Cordova, age 41, passed away November 3, 2002. He was a longtime resident of Veguita, NM., and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Rudy was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed. Rudy is survived by his wife, Mary Cordova of the family home in Veguita; children, Ruby Romero of Denver, CO., Justine Morgan of Belen, and Rudy Cordova of the family home in Veguita; parents, Leo and Bernie Cordova and Patsy Cordova; mother-in-law, Helen Morgan; siblings, Kathy Cordova, Tina Romero and husband, Mike, Allison Lucero, James Lucero and wife, Laynette, and Eric Lucero and wife, Marlene; two grandchildren, Arianna and Alyssa; grandmother, Margaret Pino; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family, and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at San Isidro Catholic Church in Las Nutrias, NM. A rosary will be recited by Angie Lovato on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dennis on Thursday, November 7, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with burial following in the parish cemetery. Lucero -- Lucy Lucero, 80, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2002. She was born on March 6, 1922 in Los Alamos, NM. Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by her husband, Celestino Lucero and her daughter, Priscilla Cordova. She is survived her two sons, Tommy Lucero and wife, JoAnn and Raymond Lucero and wife, Diane; two daughters Cathy Campos and husband, Mike and Theresa Romero and husband, Michael; two brothers, John Montoya and Clyde Montoya; one sister, Alby Rodriguez and husband, Rick; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lucero will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitations will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Interment will follow at the Mt. Romero -- David Samson Romero passed onto Jesus peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2002. David was born in Albuquerque on September 14, 1960. We have lost someone dear to us; a son, brother, uncle, and good friend. He is survived by his parents, John and Pauline Romero; one brother, Nelson and wife, Mona Romero; two sisters, Diana and husband, Edward Chavez, and Carmen Romero; 11 nieces; three nephews, relatives, and friends. Pallbearers will be Jose Louis Villegas, Anthony Griego, Richard Nieto, Joe Garcia, Marty Garcia, and Tony Cordova. An evening service will be held Tuesday at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at the Powerhouse Church of God located at 6235 Churchill Road. Tafoya -- Rafaelita S. Tafoya, 97, went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2002. She was born on July 16, 1905 in Contreras, NM. Mrs. Tafoya is preceded in death by her husband Celestino Tafoya. She is survived by her sons; David Tafoya and wife Celina, Juan Jose Tafoya and wife Irene, Sylvester Tafoya and wife Carol and Joe R. Tafoya and wife M. Sadie, daughters; Frances Cordova, Blandina Peralta and husband Fidencio and Tarcila Griego and husband Lin and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Tafoya will be deeply missed by her loving family.
