Lucero -- Lynnae Lucero Shining Down from Heaven January 7, 1980 - November 3, 1995Look into her eyes - although it is not possible. Her eyes, the windows of the soul closed. Look at this child's face - feel her hurt & Sorrow The pain & fear before her soul was forced to go.A child so innocent taken without consent, A father hoping at least a hug before his daughter went. One moment unknowing of any harms, Not knowing if again her daddy would hold her in his arms.A father awaiting his daughter to come home, he keeps waiting but in sadness all alone. Her biggest concern, choosing what to wear, unknowing a bullet would strike that her body could not bare.Caught in the middle of a dispute between two, created a world of sorrow which no one could undo. Now in darkness and coldness she lies, and here we stand with dark and saddened eyes.Coldness lives within those we live around, what we live around we can only hope not to become. For a lifetime a father can only mourn, and remember the joy of when his daughter was born. He'll await her sweet voice to say, "Daddy I'm home, Daddy forgive as the Lord has & together we'll soon be, I live in your heart and God is with you, you are not alone". Because of a few - because of fate that is why we die, That is why we are left with sorrow - and in coldness the unknowing lie.Adriana Nanis Delgado

Mckeever -- A Tribute to Tom McKeever From a friend October 17, 2002We have lost someone dear to us. A son, brother, father, and friend to so many is gone. We have lost those musical magic fingers that gave us such pleasure on the keyboards. Jazz will never sound the same. Never seeing that white hat perched on your head again... or seeing the twinkle in those Irish blue eyes... your chess mates will miss you, just as will those friends who went on the Sunday afternoon fields trips with you. Some who went with you exploring the countryside, seeing parts of New Mexico through your eyes, will miss your enthusiasm for life. Your coworkers are surely saddened at losing their friend as well as their most able cohort. Your kind, generous, caring nature was legend among your friends. Those of us who were privileged to sit with you over a beer and a"bourbon and diet" to talk about music, work, airplanes, cars, family, Ireland, and so on and so on are at a loss. The world's a little less wonderful now, but the angels are dancing in Heaven! You left us too soon, Tom.
