Cordova -- Romelia C. Cordova, 86, a resident of Belen, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 1999. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart League. She was a Foster Grandparent for 15 years. Romelia was preceded in death by her husband, Max P. Cordova in 1968; and her brother, Espiridion Chavez in 1969. She is survived by her sons, Tony Cordova and wife, Linda of Albuquerque, Andrew Cordova and wife, Gloria, also of Albuquerque, Johnny Cordova and wife, Dolores of Belen and Max Cordova and wife, Rosemarie, also of Belen. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Mercedes Marquez of Simi Valley, CA. Romelia is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. Romelia also leaves behind many loving friends. Viewing will be held on Sunday, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the San Isidro Catholic Church in Pueblitos, followed by a Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 12:00 noon, also at San Isidro Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Cordova, Dennis Cordova, Gilbert Cordova, Robert Cordova, Phillip Cordova, Vincent Cordova, Steven Cordova, Mark Cordova, Andy Cordova, David J. Cordova and Bobby Olivas. Marquez -- Mrs. Elena"Helen" Marquez, 67, a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on November 30, 1998. Mrs. Marquez is the beloved wife of 44 years to Chris Marquez. She is also survived by one daughter, Dolores Marquez; four sons, Victor Marquez, Isaac Marquez and wife, Florence, Johnny Marquez and Anthony Marquez and wife, Sharon. She is also survived by three sisters, Angie Martinez and husband, Joe, Marie Duran and husband, Tim and Lola Gonzales and husband, Felix; nine grandchildren, Candice, Antoinette, Isaac Jr., Jonathan, Juan, Ashley, Jeremy, Joey and Freddie. Mrs. Marquez was a member of the Catholic Church, Sacred Heart League, Blue Army and The Holy Name Society. A rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW with visitation after 6:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 9:30 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with final viewing after 9:00. Father Jack Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. Pallbearers will be Victor Marquez, Isaac Marquez, Johnny Marquez, Anthony Marquez, Isaac Marquez Jr. and David Gonzales. Gonzales -- Mr. Raymond J. Gonzales died Tuesday in Albuquerque at the age of 49. Mr. Gonzales preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Gonzales; and his father, Sigfred Montoya. He is survived by his son, Del Ray Gonzales; daughter, Ramona Gonzales; grandchildren, Alex Raymond and Johnny Rey; companion, Caroline Selph and children, Conrad Selph and Stephanie Selph; sisters, Lorella Velasquez, Rachel Gonzales, Rita Aguilar and Linda Pedraza; and 10 nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Gonzales will be held on Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Bernalillo, NM. Pallbearers will be Rudy Benavidez, Tom Pierce, Joe Velasquez, David Sanchez, Tony Valdez and Orlando Chavez. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Woollard, Conrad Selph, Joe Marquez and Ray Snyder. Visitation for Mr. Gonzales will be held in the mortuary chapel on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Rosary for Mr. Gonzales will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary and on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Church. Candelaria -- Mr. Phil L. Candelaria, age 93, died Saturday. Mr Candelaria was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WWII. He is survived by his son, Phil P. Candelaria and wife, Mary Jane; sister, Marcella Aragon and husband, Louie; and grandchildren, Phil A. Candelaria and Lucinda M. Candelaria. Funeral services for Mr. Candelaria will be held on Tuesday at the San Jose Church where Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited Monday, at 7:00 p.m., at San Jose Parish. Pallbearers will be Leondro Candelaria, Leo Candelaria, Jr., Robert Candelaria, Robert Patton, Don Marquez and Floran Junior Lucero.
