Castillo -- Mr. Eusebio"Eddie" Castillo, 71, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on April 16, 1998. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou Vallejos and husband, Valentin; three sons, Richard Castillo and wife, Christine, Fred Castillo and wife, Theresa and Gerald Castillo and wife, Marie; one sister, Dolores"Lola" Becerra and husband, Ron; one brother, Bobby Castillo and wife, Margie; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agueda and Clemente Castillo; his son, Paul Casias; brothers, Manuel Castillo, Frank Castillo and Tom Castillo. Mr. Castillo was a member of the Catholic Church, worked for Griffith's Furniture for 25 years and a Veteran of the Army serving in World War II. A Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:00 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW with visitation after 6:30. Evelyn Lujan will recite the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 11:00 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway S.E. with Father Jose Farias, Celebrant. Final viewing will be at the church from 10:30 until 11:00. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary. Pallbearers will be, Richard Castillo Jr., Clemente Castillo, Gerald Castillo Jr., Juan Vallejos, Steve Becerra and Samuel Vallejos. Honorary pallbearers will be, Mario Vallejos, Gregory Vallejos, Michael Gallegos, George Castillo, Dino Castillo and Ron Becerra. Gonzales -- Fermin Gonzales, 60, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 1998 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Sarah Gonzales; and brother, Daniel Shoemaker. He is survived by his children, Filberto Gonzales, Sammy Gonzales, Rhonda Montoya; grandchildren, Steven, Thomas, Susana, Amanda, Meranda, Lee Anna; brothers and sisters, Rosalie Maldonado, Ray Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, Ida Laycock, Helen Nieto, June Lujan, Rita Vigil, George Gonzales, Carmen Baca; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine on Saturday, April 4, at 9:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Pajarito Cemetery. Sanchez -- Trudi Sanchez, 53, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Wednesday, April 1,1998. She is survived by her love, Robert Burckel of Albuquerque; daughter, Paula Henderson and husband, Don of Las Cruces; brother, John Baker and wife, Michelle; nephew, Ian Baker; and father, Art Baker, all of Santa Fe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Sanchez; daughter, Denise Sanchez; and mother, Louise Baker. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 417 Aqua Fria, in Santa Fe, with Fr. Bill Sanchez, Celebrant. Pino -- Mary V. Pino, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 14, 1998. Mrs. Pino was the beloved mother of one daughter, Lucy Pino; and one son, William Pino and wife, Consuelo (Connie). Mrs. Pino is also survived by eight grandchildren, Domonic, William Melvin, Eric, Tanya, Michelle, Sondra, Adrian and Nathaniel; two great-grandchildren, Darrien and Christina; three sisters, Carmen Romero and husband, Jose, Elsie Trujillo and husband, Greg, and Mary Lou Lucero; two brothers, Eugenio"Gene" Vigil and wife, Tina, and Johnny Vigil and wife, Lauri; one aunt, Frances Reina; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Pino was preceded in death by her husband, Teodoro Pino; and sons, Patrick and Michael. Mrs. Pino was a member of the Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited this evening, 7:00 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. Martha Herrera will recite the rosary. Guentz -- Kenneth A. Guentz, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 42 years, and a former executive with the Rio Grande Steel Company, passed away at his home on Monday, March 9, 1998, of natural causes. He was born at Woodward, Oklahoma on November 19, 1914. Mr. Guentz is survived by Claire Guentz, his wife of 47 years. The Guentz's have two married children, Dudley L. Guentz of Edgewood, New Mexico, and Judith Guentz-Hester of Denver, Colorado; and four grandchildren, Patricia, Amber, Andrea and Kyle. Also surviving is his brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Merle Houk of Albuquerque; his sister-in-law, Betty Lujan of Santa Fe, NM; and his sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Don Bagley of Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at Fitzgerald and Sons Chapel, 3113 Carlisle NE at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 1998. The Reverend Ron Grenemeyer will preside. Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. The family extends special thanks to Barbara Burshand and Darleen Gomez of Lovelace Hospice and Annette from the clinic at the VA Hospital. Olmstead -- William"Bill" Allen Olmstead, 68, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, died Thursday, March 5, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia of the family home; daughters, Debbie Olmstead and Cindy Andujo and husband, Alex, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Frank Olmstead of Albuquerque, and Edwin Olmstead and wife, Cecilia, all of Albuquerque; and sister, Eva DeLeon and husband, Russell of Pueblo, CO; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the US Army. Mr. and Mrs. Olmstead were married March 14, 1959 in Las Vegas, NM. Mr. Olmstead was a member of the Church of the Risen Savior, where he was very active in the Spanish Choir. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the German Club, and the American Legion. Mr. Olmstead worked in Santa Fe with the State Auditor and the State Land Commission for 25 years, retiring in 1984. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 6:00 p.m., at the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Fr. Paul Baca reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 11:30 a.m., at the Church of the Risen Savior, with Fr. Paul Baca, Celebrant. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. in Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers will be Arthur Silva, Al Silva, Alex Andujo, Tom Olmstead, Solomon Madrid, Al Lujan, Benito Sena and Jimmy Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Olmstead, John Foeder, Lionel Holguin, Russell DeLeon, Francis Rincon and Kenneth Adams.
