SAISER, CHRISTIAN CHARLES died 4 Dec 2012, at the age of 87, of end stage COPD. He had been a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, since 2004, and Belen NM since 1994. He is survived by his son, Richard W. Saiser and his life partner William P. Reust, of Albuquerque. He was predeceased by his wife, Annie Elnora Saiser in 2011. Christian Charles Saiser was born 12 July 1925, in Collins, Missouri, the youngest of seven children born to Charles Sylvester Saiser of O'Neil, Nebraska, and Elizabeth Bridget (Quinn) Saiser of Deloit, Nebraska. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Ovid, Colorado, where Chris grew up. As of April 1943, he had enough hours to graduate from Ovid High School, so he got his mother to sign for him to enlist in the Navy at the age of 17. His father had wanted him to wait, but was proud to stand in for him at the graduation ceremony in June. On March 14, 1946, AO3C Christian Charles Saiser received an honorable discharge and $100 from the US Navy. Chris met the love of his life, Annie E. Nelson, in Cheyenne, WY while working his way through college. The GI Bill and AFROTC enabled him to graduate in 1951 from the University of Denver with a BA, entering active duty immediately in the US Air Force as a second lieutenant. He served in Korea with the 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing at Kempo, and was a first lieutenant when discharged in 1953. He returned to Denver, Colorado, and in 1954 began a 30-year career with the Major Appliance & TV Sales Division of the General Electric Company in Denver. Retirement in 1984 at age 59 was no problem for Chris; he enjoyed it immensely. He and Annie became RV explorers and spent many happy winters camped on a beach in Baja California, until they leased a house in San Carlos, Sonora, in 1990, where he indulged his passion for fishing, until age and health considerations obliged him to move back to his permanent home in Belen, New Mexico in 2001. He suffered a stroke in December 2002, from which he recovered well enough to resume independent living and finally move to Albuquerque in 2004, where he and Annie lived next door to their son, Richard, for the remainder of their lives. Christian C. Saiser's final resting place is the Santa Fe National Cemetery. No formal services are planned other than the military burial ceremony in Santa Fe. If you wish to make a gesture in his honor, please send a donation to an animal rescue organization of your choice.

Brother of Carol Williams and Norma Davis Hanks; uncle of Lisa and Anthony Davis; died peacefully on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. He was surrounded by his sisters and a very dear friend whom he had known all of his adult life, Mr. Bill Tuggle of Chicago. His dear friend George Singleton was with Paul one week prior to Paul's passing. Paul grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Wheatley High School in 1958. He received a four year Worthing Academic Scholarship and attended Michigan State University. He attended Officers Training School at Fort Knox before serving in the Army during the Viet Nam War. After his service was completed, he received his Master of Science Degree and was recruited to work with IBM and later with Xerox. Upon his retirement, he moved to Oakland, CA to be near his family. After the passing of his mother, he decided to move to Albuquerque, NM, where he enjoyed his retirement until his illness. We want to thank our church families, our family and friends for their constant prayers, cards, phone calls and the visits from friends who have been very close to Paul over the years. We want to especially thank our cousin, Dr. James Hadnott, for his help in consulting with the doctors on Paul's case, his counsel and guidance from the onset of Paul's illness and throughout his care in hospice. We love you Sonny. We are grateful to Paul's friend Pat Jenkins for his spiritual support while we were in Albuquerque. All praises and thanks to GOD for giving us time to spend with our brother before his demise. We loved him very much and will miss him always. Arrangements are pending.
