AYALA, GEORGE lifelong resident of Albuquerque, left to celebrate life with God on Dec. 12, 2012. He was a proud WWII Army veteran. George was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delores and Edith Ayala. He is survived by his wife Martha; daughter Georgia Brown and husband Chris; son Gene Ayala and wife Diana; grandchildren, Jamie Thompson and husband Steve, Erin Mason and husband Rob, Kristy Fashola and husband Fola, Justin Ayala and wife Shauna, adopted granddaughter, Ariele Overton and husband Evan; great grandchildren, Noah, Konner, Samaya, Izzy, Tosin and Avery; sisters and brothers, Josie Hernandez, Gladys Velarde, Carmen Ayala, Pilar Chavez and John Ayala; and caregivers, Jim and Michelle Saunders. Pallbearers are Carmen Ayala, Robert Chavez, Michael Lucero, Paul Martinez, Larry Nelson and Alex Suniga. Services will be held at John XXIII Catholic Community at 4831 Tramway Ridge NE; Rosary on Friday, Dec. 14th at 7:00pm; Mass on Saturday, Dec. 15th at 10:00am. BUTLER, O. PRAEM BROTHER DENNIS age 76, was a resident of Albuquerque, NM, born June 6, 1936 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, passed away on December 12, 2012. Brother Dennis is survived by the Norbertine Community of Santa Maria de Vid Abbey; brother, Brian Butler and wife, June; nieces and nephews, Janet, James, Troy, Dennis and Lori. Brother Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, George and Norma Butler; and sister, Bonnie Rasmussen. Brother Dennis was a Trappist Monk for ten years, leaving to address the needs of his mother. Brother Dennis worked as a systems analyst for PNM for seventeen years; he became a Norbertine in 1992 and was solemnly professed in 1996. CONWAY, FARIDE FAVER CHAVEZ Faride was born on September 10, 1939 in Shafter, Texas, to Delfina Rede Faver and Tiburcio "Bucho" Faver. She passed away at home on December 6, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph R. Conway and her children: Marla Diener, Mardel Kalinowski, Mitchell Diener, Mo Diener. She is also survived by her sisters, Denise Chavez (Daniel Zolinsky) and Margo Chavez-Charles (John Reeder). Her parents, Delfina Rede Faver Chavez, Tiburcio Faver and E.E. Chavez preceded her in death. She is survived by her Chavez and Faver cousins throughout the U.S. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michael Petrie (Becci), Mary Spilski (Shad), Symone Sanchez, Jerrad Kalinowski (Amy), Brandon Kalinowski (Alisha), Jason Kalinowski, Aaron Kalinowski and April Kalinowski; as well as nine great-grandchildren. Faride's family extends from Far West Texas across the Southwest. Her legacy as the matriarch of a large, robust and vitalfamily is a measure of the beauty and profundity of her life. Faride had a multifaceted and rich life and career as a policewoman, detective, owner of a security guard business, a bail bond business, was a licensed professional massage therapist and a talented bead artist, interior decorator and chef. She is legendary for her warmth, generosity and the open embrace of her heart and home. All who knew her respected her wit, honesty, grace and dignity. DOURTE, HELEN MARGARET Age 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012. She was born in Gilman, WI on September 29, 1921 to Alois and Margaret (Fleischman) Bauer. Her father was Mayor of Thorp, WI where he owned a dime store that Helen worked in as a young girl. Helen proudly served her country in the Marine Corps during World War II. She loved to crochet and gave over fifty afghans to others. Helen was blessed with good health most of her life; she was able to enjoy life, appreciate the beauty of roses and do some traveling. Most of all, Helen loved her family and devoted herself to being there for them. She was a living definition of a "homemaker". She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Granville Dourte in 2008 and brother Lawrence Bauer. Helen is survived by her children, Margaret Saunders and husband, Leigh, Patricia Bruner and husband Will, Richard Dourte and wife Christine, Kathleen Arvizu; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her brother Richard Bauer and wife Jean. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 9:30 am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE with Mass of Resurrection to be celebrated at 10:00 am. DRESSLER, PEARL M. 1912-2012 Age 100, a resident of Mountainair, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Good Life Assisted Living in Los Lunas, NM, to be with our Lord and Savior. Pearl was born eight miles west of Estancia, NM, on October 6, 1912, about the same time New Mexico became a state. She lived in Torrance county all her life and lived in Mountainair since 1960, when they built a new home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountainair, and loved God and Church very much. She was known for her cooking and delighted in serving many meals and always sent food to special events. After they were married, they lived ten miles north of Mountainair where they farmed and raised live stock until the drought forced them to move and farmed on irrigated land. After 1960,they then went to raising cattle until his death. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Chester Dressler; mother and father, Bob and Jessie Garland; sisters, Velma Cowley, and Mildred Tindell; brothers, Cecil Garland, Julius Garland, Virgel Garland, and Wilman Garland. Pearl is survived by her son, Gene Dressler; grandchildren, Suzan and husband Charles Pechacek, Brenda and husband Lance Renfrew, Ronny and wife Leslie Dressler; six great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. All services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Mountainair, Saturday, December 15, beginning with a viewing at 9:00 a.m., the funeral at 11:00 a.m., and a reception to follow. The burial will be at Garland Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Charles Pechacek, Lance Renfrew, Ronny Dressler, Zachery Renfrew, Alton Tindell, and Dale Tindell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Tindell, Harvey Tindell, Gene Tindell, Curley Hollon, Jim Van Hassel, Leroy Nix, and Ronnie Morehead. The family would like to thank the staff at Good Life Assisted Living for the excellent care given to her. We also wish to thank hospice of Ambercare in Belen for the special care they gave her for the past 13 months. GARDNER, JERRY 1939-2012 age 73, a resident of Belen, NM passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Mary Jo Gardner; son, Jerry Don Gardner; brother, Joe Ben; and sister, Roxanne Gardner. Jerry is survived by his loving son, Casey Gardner and wife, Janette; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by many close friends. WAGNER, CLEMENT J. Age 99, a resident of Albuquerque since March 1957, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012. He is survived by his children: daughter, Carole Noriega of Albuquerque; son, Terry Wagner, and wife, Susan of Centennial CO; granddaughter, Amy Wagner of Centennial CO; several nieces and nephews in Michigan and Florida; and numerous friends, including cousin, Karen Federici, husband, Fred, and family of Albuquerque. Clement was born to Stella and Joseph Wagner on August 22, 1913 in Saginaw, MI. He married Veronica Makarewicz on September 23, 1944. She preceded him in death on July 5, 2000. He was a design engineer at Sandia Labs and retired in 1973. His family and friends will miss his generosity, kindness, love of his life, and sense of humor, which never wavered. WRIGHT, GEORGE F. JR. Age 77, passed away quietly in the company of his beloved wife of 57 years, Beverly, on Friday evening, December 7, 2012, at his home in Albuquerque. George was employed by Sandia National labs until his retirement. He was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Mesa Lodge No. 68, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Shrine, Eastern Star and served as Grand Master of Masons of New Mexico. He leaves behind his sweetheart, Beverly; and his children, Kristin Wright of Vancouver, WA and Stanley Wright and wife, Patti of Rio Rancho. Granddad Wright will also be missed by his grandkids, Tim Wright and wife, Michelle, Scott Wright, Jackie Wright, and Katlyn Ryan; and great-grandkids, Kaitlynn Gose and Gage Wright.
