LUJAN -- Tobias (Toby) Lujan, 72. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always preserves. I Corinthians 13:6. On Monday, April 25, 2005, a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and mentor too many passed away at UNM hospital. Toby Lujan fought vigorously for nearly twelve years to conquer his cardio pulmonary disease. In the accompaniment of this family, Toby's life was taken into the hands of Christ. With the rain above, the heavens showered the earth with tears of joy the moment the angels came to escort this humble man to meet the open arms of his heavenly Father. Born July 8, 1932, to Antonio Lujan and Dolores Vigil-Lujan, Toby spent his early years in Torreon and later moved to Albuquerque where he met his wife. Although he spent 42 years as a baker for Rainbo, his passion was always God, his family, and his ranch. As a young boy his loving God granted him a dream that would never leave his heart. As generations of his family before, his dream was to continue in his parents footsteps of being a rancher. He with the help of his much loved brother, Bonefacio Lujan, began with two calves and a bull which flourished over time to the heard he cared and tended to daily. At the age of 19, Toby met and fell in love with his beloved wife Priscilla. This courtship and marriage spanned nearly 52 years. Together they lovingly raised ten children, nine of which survive their Father. These devoted, loving children and spouses include, Dolores and Roberto Navarette, Christella and Ameer Hosein, Benedict Lujan, Marilyn Lujan, Sharon Cordova, Mary Magdeline and Stephen Aragon, Michael Thomas and Lena Lujan, Loretta Lynn, Veronica Dee and Sara Lujan. Toby is also survived by 18 grandchildren, Felicia and Jessica Solis, Lawrence, Mary Rose, Christopher and Scott Hernandez, Ben Jr. and Tracy Lujan, Drucilla and Steven Lujan, Derek, Mark, and Issiah Lujan, Aarron Marques, Stephen and Ernest Aragon, Michael and Dominic Lujan. Great-grandchildren include Jeramiah, Santiago, Kane, Victoria, Fabian, Anastacia, Felicity, Mackenzie, Lekiesha, Anthony, Cadence, AJ, Mariah, Derek Jr., Jonathon, and Elijah. To celebrate the life of Tobias Lujan a Rosary will be held on Friday, April 29, 2005 at St. Anne Catholic Church at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Anne's on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 10 a.m. with burial services to follow. Pallbearers will be grandchildren with Michael Lujan as the honorary pallbearer. Direct Funeral Services 2919 4th Street NW Albuquerque, NM 87107 (505) 343-8008 I love you Negra.
