TURPIN, MARILYN SKIDMORE Age 86, was born on August 16, 1928 and passed away March 5, 2015. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Carroll. She is survived by three sons, Cody & wife Maritza, Lynn and partner Rosalie, & Tracy; sisters Sonja Smith and husband Larry, Rosemary Bohannon and husband Herb; her brother Thomas Skidmore; and eight grandchildren. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed their many card games and recounting of humorous past stories. She was the first of eight siblings and had great memories of travels with her family. Her siblings often said "she had a memory like an elephant." Marilyn was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

SMITH, FRANCIS Age 85, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 with his granddaughter Cambria by his side. Francis was retired from the Navy and the post office. Francis was a master woodworker and leathersmith and loved to mend fences, doing yard work and he built beautiful corrals. was a wonderful husband to his wife, Gloria and was very active in the church and community. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Tom and Jeffery. Francis is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gloria; children, Rosalie, Frances, Patricia, Cathy, Rodney, Tina and Catalina; 13 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; seven great-great- grandchildren and one sister, Dora. A service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015, 12:00 pm, at cornerstone United Methodist Church, 3905 Las Vegas Dr. SW. Pallbearers will be Ethan Burke, Jeremiah Burke, Cambria Burke, Tina Burke, Michael Burke and Heidi Lakes. HOLTMAN, HESTER Age 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died February 9, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Dirk C. H. Holtman in 1998; and her son-in-law, Robert E. Smith in 2014. She is survived by her daughters Cecilia (Lia) Smith; Anne (Ansje) Stansell and husband, Howard; son Dirk H. Holtman and wife, Norma; grandchildren, Lesley Worrell and husband Kevin, Evan Smith, Clayton Stansell and wife Laura, Sara Antal and husband Gary, Ian Holtman and wife Lissa and Amy Holtman; great-grandchildren, Dameon Smith, Todd Antal, Kyla Worrell and Emma Antal; and nieces, Ria de Groot, Tonny Kerstens and Annie Koster in Holland. Hester was born in Amsterdam, Holland and legally immigrated to Albuquerque in 1961 and became a naturalized citizen in 1967. She retired from Lovelace Medical Center after 30 years. Services were held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at New Covenant Church, 7201 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Covenant Church. ARMIJO, PASQUAL JR. Pasqual E. Armijo, Jr., age 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Pasqual was born on August 20, 1945 in McNary, Arizona to Pasqual and Sophia Armijo. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Pasqual is a precious child of God and is home now with his Father and his Lord Jesus Christ. He was a lifelong resident of Belen and a Belen High School Graduate of the class of 1964. He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church, Belen Moose Lodge, Rio Grande Jazz Society. Past member of Knights of Columbus, former Belen City Councilor (1996-2000). Past President of Belen Chamber of Commerce. He is preceded in death by his father, Pasqual K. Armijo; mother, Sophia Armijo; brother, Pasqual Armijo. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Artiaga-Armijo (aka Cupcake); son, Pasqual Armijo III and wife Christella; daughters, Sheila D. Armijo and partner Kenda Meathenia, Michelle Artiaga, Geraldine Trujillo, Darlene Smith and Erica Artiaga; grandchildren, Christopher Smith and wife Cezerae, Daniel Trujillo, Kassandra Trujillo, Pasqual Armijo IV and wife Luz, Tiffany Smith, Maya Artiaga Holt, Dakota Artiaga Lovato, Marisol Armijo, Eliseo Aguirre, Xavier Armijo, Kira Artiaga Holt, Ashley Smith, Reyna Aguirre, Colton Smith, Abran Armijo, and Pilar Aguirre; siblings, Jake and wife Emelda, Carmen Montoya, Ernie and wife Kathy, and Alfred and wife Flora; and a large extended family and loved ones including his former wife Lydia Abeita and husband Joe. Services will be on Monday, February 16 at Our Lady Of Belen Catholic Church with the visitation beginning at 9:30AM, followed by the funeral Mass.
