RUIZ, LEONARD P. In Memory of a Special Dad on his 20th Angel Anniversary Thinking of you and missing you on this day and wishing I'd said all the things I never got to say. Because it seemed I took your love for granted, that I know I only wish I'd told you then how much I love you so. For if I ever needed you you'd never turn your back you'd pick me up each time I'd fall and put me back on track. And since you've gone I miss you so and realize what I had ... a parent with a heart of gold --the world's most special Dad. 20 years and it doesn't seem so Still miss you dearly, Donna

Joshua and his Mom, Lizzie shared a life of extreme closeness and love. Her love and devotion to him was without measure, and sustained them for 25 years together through many difficult medical challenges. They touched so many lives with their courage, their ability to laugh and smile and to love unconditionally throughout Joshua's whole life. He was a true gift from God, and our family was so honored and blessed to have him in our lives for as long as we did. Josh loved his hugs from his Dad and his walks with his nurses, Jennifer and George. There were so many things about Josh that eventually would help people to understand the difficulties of how severe disabilities had affected himself and his family around him. There are so many doctors and nurses, especially Dr. Sandra Whistler, that helped with Joshua's care, we thank you all. Many thanks to Mariposa Hospice for all of their loving care for both Joshua and his family.
