DRESSLER, PEARL M. 1912-2012 Age 100, a resident of Mountainair, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Good Life Assisted Living in Los Lunas, NM, to be with our Lord and Savior. Pearl was born eight miles west of Estancia, NM, on October 6, 1912, about the same time New Mexico became a state. She lived in Torrance county all her life and lived in Mountainair since 1960, when they built a new home. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountainair, and loved God and Church very much. She was known for her cooking and delighted in serving many meals and always sent food to special events. After they were married, they lived ten miles north of Mountainair where they farmed and raised live stock until the drought forced them to move and farmed on irrigated land. After 1960,they then went to raising cattle until his death. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Chester Dressler; mother and father, Bob and Jessie Garland; sisters, Velma Cowley, and Mildred Tindell; brothers, Cecil Garland, Julius Garland, Virgel Garland, and Wilman Garland. Pearl is survived by her son, Gene Dressler; grandchildren, Suzan and husband Charles Pechacek, Brenda and husband Lance Renfrew, Ronny and wife Leslie Dressler; six great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. All services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Mountainair, Saturday, December 15, beginning with a viewing at 9:00 a.m., the funeral at 11:00 a.m., and a reception to follow. The burial will be at Garland Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Charles Pechacek, Lance Renfrew, Ronny Dressler, Zachery Renfrew, Alton Tindell, and Dale Tindell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Tindell, Harvey Tindell, Gene Tindell, Curley Hollon, Jim Van Hassel, Leroy Nix, and Ronnie Morehead. The family would like to thank the staff at Good Life Assisted Living for the excellent care given to her. We also wish to thank hospice of Ambercare in Belen for the special care they gave her for the past 13 months.
